Chapter 1
If I told you that magic was real how would you react? Personally I would call myself a crazy person. But what happened to me changed my mind forever.
It was a normal day for me. I had just gotten out of school for the day and was out for a smoothie with my friends. Though I had this odd feeling of being watched. I didn't bring it up though. Not wanting to worry my friends.
After a few minutes I said goodbye to my friends and walked off.
I took a shortcut back to my house by going through the park but I still felt like I was being watched. I felt weirded out. My long dirty blonde hair flowing down my back. My pale skin reflection the sunlight leaking through the trees. My sapphire eyes looking around trying to find who or what is watching me. But I can see nothing. It made me genuinely scared.
I turned on my path up a hill. Hoping that would force who or whatever was following me to show itself. And it did.
From the bushes came a shriveled looking woman with a dark color scheme. I jumped to the side as the woman charged at me. As I looked up at her I saw that this woman had a pair of black feathered wings.
"W-what the hell?!" I exclaimed.
The winged woman charged at me again. I put my arms in front of me bracing for impact.
"Gaeus Aspiria," A male voice said.
I looked past my arms and saw a giant wall of plants.
"What? What is this?" I asked.
"An Aspiria spell," The male voice said.
I looked over and saw a dark skinned guy in clothes that looked to be made of green leaves, a lack of shoes, brown hair with a pair of green braids, a green eye, an eyepatch, a lack of shoes, and the weirdest thing of all. A pair of green fairy wings. My jaw dropped. It was impossible. A fairy? But they don't exist.
"Stay behind me Matt," The Fairy said.
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"Long story. One I'll tell you when we're done here," The Fairy said.
He fluttered his wings and began to fly just a bit off the ground. I was just freaking out. The winged woman slashed the plants.
"Alright Harpy. Tell Ventrix that the Queen sends her regards," The Fairy said "Gaeus Tempestae,".
A tornado of leaves surrounded the Harpy, as the Fairy said, and knocked her onto the ground.
"Now back to the Otherworld with you," The Fairy said.
He put his hand out and a vortex appeared under the Harpy who fell through it. The vortex quickly closed after that.
The Fairy landed and began to glow. His wings vanished and his clothes became a green button up covered by a green letterman jacket, jeans, and green sneakers. His eyepatch and braids remained.
"Okay. I have a few questions. Starting with: WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!" I exclaimed.
"Let's go somewhere a bit more private before we start talking. How about your place?" The Fairy said.
"I guess. I was heading that direction anyway," I said.
"Perfect. Come on Your Highness," The Fairy said walking ahead of me.
"Coming. Wait what did you just call me?" I asked.
"I'll explain at your place," The Fairy said.
