Second Entry of Monstober : Dragon!Bakugo x Human Reader
Requested by LocketOfSecrets. Hope I did it justice !
Everyone - absolutely everyone - knew and feared the name Katsuki Bakugo. He was the fierce, bloodthirsty dragon king everybody respected, and sometimes hated too. Hunters called him the menacing beast that needed to be killed off, while others said that the dragons never did them any harm. There were still arguments about what Katsuki Bakugo was, but he was a creature of power and fortune for sure.
But if he was so amazing, why was he laying lifeless on the forest floor, body limping ? The thing was, Bakugo was still young, counted in the dragon years, so he was still a hot-headed and impulsive child. That was the reason why he called his mother a 'hag' and ignored her warnings about drinking ponds water. Any dirty liquid was extremely poisonous to dragons, and that was why after drinking a stomach-full of pond water, the great Katsuki Bakugo was laying on the ground, as lifeless as he could.
Why did he got so stupid and ignored his mother's advice ? The thing is, this dragon king was still young - 180 years old to be exact - and he was at the age where defying your parents' words is a game. After all, he was only eighteen in the human age, and everyone knew how ignorant and delinquent children that age could be. Huffing, dragon Bakugo tried to lift his wings, but failed pathetically as the bones crashed down with a loud 'thump'. He hated to be pathetic, but that was what you get if you didn't listen to Queen Mitsuki.
Suddenly, Bakugo heard the sound of snapping twigs from afar and his red eyes widened in horror. He didn't want anyone to see him like this ! It'd be a total embarrassment ! As everyone could tell, the male was a very prideful person (or dragon), and getting humiliated or caught in such a pathetic state would be the BIGGEST problem of his life. Bakugo began to raise his wings in an attempt to try and intimidate whoever was coming, but what he saw wasn't what he expected it to be.
A teenage human girl was looking at him with large, concerned eyes; a bag filled with herbs crossed her chest. She was wearing common villager clothing, with the only difference was the dark coat around her body, so Bakugo dropped his guard. He let out a tired groan to warn the female about his territory, but she just shook her head and stepped forward. Not until she was three steps away from touching Bakugo's feet, the girl stopped and offered her hand.

"Hey, I'm here to help. I'm not going to hurt you."
You said quietly to the wounded dragon while maintaining intense eye contact with it. The moment you saw that huge flash of yellow dropping from the sky, you knew something was up. With healer's instincts, you immediately grabbed the healing kit, put on your traveling coat before dashing out of the bakery, almost knocking your father's new batch aside. You knew the forest like the back of your hand - considering how much time you spent there looking for ingredients and herbs - so it didn't take you too much time to locate where the 'object' had fallen. You had healed many things, from humans to vampires, but never a dragon. From the tales of your grandfather, you could tell that dragons were as prideful as they could be, and it would deeply wound them if they got helped by anything else other than themselves.
Bowing while keeping eye contact, you slowly stripped down of your coat, revealing the small silver knives laced inside. Immediately the beast eyes' widened as he tried to scoop away from you, but you quickly raised your hands to show it that you meant absolutely no harm. Slowly its eyes softened and it allowed you to come closer, but the body language told you that it was still on edge. Pulling on an elixir, you opened the glass lid before pouring some into the pestle you prepared.
"Based on your tiredness, I say you got poisoned from drinking dirty water. It's a common yet hard to get poisoning for dragons, but since you're still pretty young, I guess you didn't know that yet.' - you said as you smashed the strength elixir with the herbs you packed - "It could be cured by a simple solution, so just wait for a second."
You quickly smashed the herbs to gain the essence before throwing the dried leaves out, only leaving the solution inside. Then, you took out a piece of white, fluffy marshmallow and dipped it deep into the liquid and offered it to the dragon.
"It's just marshmallow." - you said with a laugh after seeing how afraid the beast looked when he saw the treat - "The antidote is quite hard to drink, so I think some sweet stuff would help."
The dragon looked at you with a hardened gaze before opening its toothy mouth and wiped its pink tongue over your hand and took the marshmallow in. You sat down on the grass and waited for a moment for the antidote to work. Soon enough, the dragon's eyes became less droopy and its body began to move. As soon as you noticed the wings moving, you gathered your props and stood up, smiling at the dragon as you began to walk away.
"Alright, now that you've healed, I should get going. Father is going to kill me if the bread gets overcooked. Goodbye, dragon !"
You waved and dashed out of the woods, not noticing the dragon's unwavering gaze on your back.

Bakugo looked at the human in surprise, his senses slowly coming back. Who was this girl, the girl who was brave enough to come and heal a dragon ? Did she not know who he was ? He was THE Dragon King Katsuki Bakugo, yet this girl treated him like she was his pet. Quickly turning back to his human form, the blond hastily fixed his clothing before rushing off to the direction where the [word that describes hair color] went. His smelling was unbeatable and in just a short time, he was able to track down where she went.
Following the girl's fresh and sweet smell, he made it to the edge of the wood that connected to a village. Poking his head out, Bakugo looked around to see if there were any hunters before tugging his large wings behind his coat and walked outside. The blond tried to mimic a human (in which he did a quite decent job) as he tracked down the girl's scent to a bakery. Standing outside, he could see his savior bustling with work, a white apron tied around her waist. Smirking to himself, Bakugo immediately saved her address into his mind before departing before some hunter could spot him.

Yet another day at the busy bakery. You hastily wiped the flour off your cheek before turning back to the customer, holding out the bag of donuts as you did. You barely had time to adjust your messy apron when the chime bell on the door rang again, making you look up. A young, handsome male with blond hair stood at the doorway, his red eyes scanning through the shop. You couldn't help but notice the lack of his upper body's clothing and how his well-toned stomach was barely - if not completely revealed - covered by his large, red coat. Noticing his smirk, you blushed and quickly looked away, murmuring a 'How can I help you' as you did.
"Ten pepper tarts, ten chilly-flavored donuts and six packs of chilly flakes sprinkles. " - the guy suddenly ordered after taking several looks at the treats on the shelves - "Be quick."
"Alright...?"
You replied uncertainly as you began to walk to the backroom to get the orders. Those things the blond just ordered were limited only, since not everyone liked to taste chilly when they were having sweets. After getting everything, you returned to the front room to find your customer leaning against the wall with an unimpressed look, somehow boosting his handsomeness.
"You're back." - the blond said after noticing you at the doorway, looking incredibly flustered because of how incredible he looked - "My treats ?"
"Oh, right. Here you are. It's...!"
You gasped a little as the stranger held your hands when you gave him the sweets, his red eyes pierced straight into you. It was such a beautiful shade of red - like blood - and you couldn't afford to look away. The male - upon seeing your embarrassed state - smirked and leaned in close until you could feel his hot breath fanning your face.
'Do you know who I am ?" - he asked, husky low voice besides your ear. You shivered slightly - the feeling of getting so close to a male foreign - before answering.
'N-No..."
"I'm Katsuki Bakugo, next Dragon King in line. You are my savior."
You stared at him for a moment, your brain working at its top speed trying to figure out just who you have saved. Was it that old farmer's son ? Nah, his son couldn't be this hot. Or was it the butcher's ? You couldn't seem to wrap your mind around it. Seeing your puzzled look, Bakugo sighed in defeat as he bared his teeth, showing you the pearly white fangs.
"I'm that dragon you cured. In the damn forest ?"
Immediately your eyes widened. Half-dragons are real ? You were lucky enough to meet one, left alone the Dragon King everyone feared and respect. After letting out a relieved breath, you hardened your gaze and smacked Bakugo's hands harshly, making the guy jump.
"The hell ??? What was that for, human ?"
"THAT, was for bursting into MY shop and scaring me to death." - you hissed, puffs of smoke nearly visible as you breath - "That's how you dragons repay your savior ?"
"Fuck no. Come on, I want to show you something."
The male offered with a grin (could be a smirk, you didn't know), and you hesitated. Sure, Father assigned you to watch the shop, but this was a dragon's favor he was talking about. Dragons were told to be the keepers of treasures, and you could use some financial resources right now. After a moment of thinking, you removed your apron and flexed your hand.
"Hand the money over, dragon."
"Hand over the what now ?" - Bakugo asked back with a huff - "You're robbing me ?"
"No. I want the money you need to pay for the sweets, what else ?"
The blond's eyes widened a bit in understanding before he plunged his hands into his pockets, pulling out several gold coins. Dumping it onto the tabletop, he quickly adjusted his hood to cover his horns and grabbed your hands, pulling you out of your home.
"Hey, hey !" - you hissed loudly as the male pulled you down the village's road - "Where are we going ?"
"Somewhere I can fucking transform. Be a good human and stay quiet, alright ?"
His voice sounded so worried that you decided to listen to him and stopped screeching. After pulling you through the forest and back where you first met him, Bakugo let go of you and stripped off his coat. You - after realizing what he was going - quickly looked away with a flustered expression.
"W-What are you doing ?"
"Getting ready for my transformation, of course." - He replied, taking off his bag as he did - "The hell do you think I'm doing ?"
"N-Nothing, continue with your stripping."
You replied quietly, still looking at the trees, eyes desperate trying NOT to look behind you. Those abs were godly and it would be every girl's dream to just look at them, but you had self-control. A lot of it apparently, because you managed to not peek, at least not before Bakugo informed you that he was done.
"Alright human, you can turn around now. Keep my coat and bag for me alright ?"
You turned around, and almost screamed as you saw the majestic gold dragon behind you. As Bakugo said, his clothes and bag were on the forest floor. Seeing your amazed look, the male chucked and flexed his wings.
"Come on human, what are you waiting for ? I'm going to take you somewhere."
[...]
[Y/N] hesitantly stepped forward, her eyes never leaving the dragon. Stepping on one of his wings' bones, the girl effortlessly flung her feet over to the other side of Bakugo, her hand gripping his neck tightly.
"Is this alright ?"
"First time riding a dragon is pretty smooth for you." - the dragon said, his voice way deeper than it originally was - "Now hold on tight, it'd be one hella bumpy ride."
Without any warnings, he took off. The [word that describes hair color] let out a high-pitched screech, her pretty eyes squeezed shut. Upon hearing the female's scream, Bakugo laughed darkly and speed up, earning himself an even louder yell.
"AHHH ! YOU JERK ! LET ME DOWN !!!"
"Calm down, and open your eyes." - Bakugo advised as remained flying with a crazy speed - "The view is beautiful."
[Y/N] stopped screaming and slowly, she opened her eyes and looked around. It was beautiful... A beautiful lake was beneath them, surrounded by frosty mountains. It was truly magnificent, as the female had never seen anything like that. All she ever knew was the simple town life and now she had seen the real world, [Y/N] didn't think that she could go back.
"How's the view, human ?"
"Incredible !" - The girl replied, her face lightened with happiness - "I didn't know the world would be so beautiful !"
"Already saying that ? You'll be fucking dying if you see where I'm taking you then."
Bakugo roared smugly before speeding up even more and for a long while, nobody said anything. The male kept track of his flying while [Y/N] took on all the wonders of the outside world. A small village life seemed too boring now, and the [word that describes hair color] - being an adventurer at heart - wasn't going to accept the fact that she must go back.
Finally, Bakugo slowed down and decrease the height. The pair was in a different land now; a land where everywhere were floating islands painted with golden grass and silvery water. Flowers of abnormal colors rose from the soil, connecting two islands, acting as a ladder. The place was so beautiful and mythical, [Y/N] didn't even think that it was real.
"Human, welcome to the Realm of Dragons."
[...]
"Realm of Dragons ?!"
You asked back, unable to believe that you - an average human girl - was in the land that told to be the began of earth. Was everything the myths said about dragons true ? They didn't seem like vile creatures, unless it was Bakugo's plan to snatched you here and sacrifice you for some gods of his. You didn't have time to think as the male landed on a particularly large island with a cave and told you to get off.
"I'm going to transform. Don't peek."
"A-As if I want to ! You took me here, remember ?"
Bakugo huffed before turning back to his human form. The blond let out a satisfied groan as he flexed his muscles, obviously happy to turn back to a human. Tapping your shoulders, the male signaled for you to give him his belongings back, which you gladly did. After putting on his coat and bag, Bakugo stepped into the cave, offering you his hand as he did.
"Come, human. The treasure is in this cave."
"You sure it's not just a trap ? To sacrifice me ?"
"Are you stupid ?" - He asked back with a scoff - "You're my savior, why the fuck would I want to sacrifice you ?"
Trusting the half-dragon's words, you hastily gripped his hand and entered the dark cave. Turned out, it wasn't as dark as you thought. On the cave's ceiling were glowing moss of all colors, softly lighting up the area. The light was so magical, you think you might have cried a little.
Reaching the cave's end, you were introduced to mountains of gold. Shiny metal coins littered the place, but they weren't the only things that made you gasp. Tons of jewels and jewelry were visible among the pond of gold, and some of them bigger than your father's loaf of bread. Never once in your life you saw so many riches in one place, and it would be safe to say that your jaws almost hit the floor.
"Amazed, human ?"
"Yeah..." - you replied breathlessly, still not truly believe what you were seeing - "Why take me here ?"
"This is my personal stash of treasure. The Bakugo family is known for our wealth and strength, and these fuck is the reason why." - Bakugo replied smugly, his red eyes scanning through his gold before turning back to you, his face gleaming with anticipation.
"This is my gift for you : make a pact with me. You'd be my damn friend or whatever you call it, and we'll rule this place together. In simpler words, we'll be married, but without the romance. So, what you say ?"
[...]
"...So, what did she say ?"
Kirishima asked excitedly, his red eyes widened. The guy was listening to his friend's story on his bachelor party, something the blond swore to never tell unless there was some alcohol in his system. And that was exactly what happened. Bakugo was smashed after drinking pints of alcohol, and the blond began to spill everything about his love life.
"Of course she said no !" - The blond hiccuped, his palms smashing against the wooden table - "But I persuaded her ! I'm Dragon Lord Bakugo !"
"And ?"
"Then she said yes ! We hung out, then dated, then I made her a half-dragon, then I proposed ! End of story !"
"That's so manly !"
Kirishima gushed, eyes sparkling like a child. Seeing his friend's admiration, Bakugo chuckled and downed his glass of beer before asking.
"But you know what I like most about it, shitty hair ? About my relationship with [Y/N] ?"
"No."
"It's the fact that I'm a fucking dragon, and she's a healer. Our story is nothing like the trashy stereotype fairytales, and I love every single fucking moment of it."
