I get these chapters out fast! Also when you finish the chapter read the bolded note at the bottom if you don't normally do so. I have a quick thing to say.

Destiny Calls

Chapter 7

"Fear is pain arising from the anticipation of evil"

-Day XI-

"Sorry to have to do this to you, but we're confiscating your supplies." A figure stood up top the rubble behind Ross who looked sad and guilty. He was followed by two more figures, both sporting the same attire as the first, a dark cloak wrapped closely around them with sleeves on them. It was actually almost like a really long dress that reached down to the toes and had a hood, and was clasped closed by only a few buttons, but it still had somewhat of a flowing effect like a cloak.

"Wh-Who are you!" Red shouted to them.

"Hush up you!" You want someone hear us? That'll be bad for all of us considering that even if this is a pile of rubble this is still prized property."

Red gritted his teeth but stayed silent. The first figure, the one who's been speaking to them shooed Ross down and he scrambled and stumbled down the rubble before falling on his face. Red and Barney rushed over to Ross and helped him up. The first figure was definitely a guy, the other two haven't spoken yet so Max could not tell.

He glanced at the mysterious group, sure they outnumbered them, but only by one. Not to mention they seemed to have not an air of arrogance, but experience. All of them likely had some useful experience that knocked their numbered advantage to nothing.

"Alright, all of you up against those stairs!" Another voice, this one female, told them. Reluctantly the four of them moved slowly to the stairs while eyeing this mysterious group oddly. The third person remained quiet, but followed the other two as they climbed down the rubble. They headed to the study, which is where they were just getting situated, but the silent cloaked figure kept watch, well actually watching them.

"Ooo, Tom! Look, they have quite a lot of food!" The female remarked.

"Awesome! Enough to get back to Eflido?" Tom, as it seemed his name was, asked.

"Hmm, maybe a little too much, but still enough, hey Tucker, how are those guys?"

The 3rd cloaked person looked over at the other two, "Angry it looks like, but they aren't doing anything. You know... it's very odd seeing a group of humans and morvics travelling around like this," Tucker said.

"Wells, actuallys, we aren'ts morvics. We're humans--" Red elbowed Barney in the side.

"Shhh!" He angrily hissed.

"Whats?" Barney asked innocently.

Tom, the first figure turned to look of them and stalked over to them slowly. He grabbed Barney by his shirt and pulled him up, immediately Red and Max moved to help but Tucker pulled out a concealed sword and pointed at them. Unfortunately Red and Max could only watch.

"What do you mean... that you're humans?" He hissed darkly, Max's eyes spotted something odd. The hand that had grabbed Barney was actually green. Yes green, of course, Barney's was purple, but, it still seemed odd.

"Your skin..." Max breathed. Tom's head whipped towards Max and his eyes glared at him. Max could see almost all of his skin was green, there were still patches of pale skin.

"Shut u--"

"Well, actuallys we were turned into morvcis--"

Tom's attention was returned back to Barney and he started to shake him and yell.

"Tom! Calm down! Calm down!"

Red started to grappled with Tom, but he shoved Red off.

"Turned Morvic! By who! Who did it! Answer me!"

"Tom! Stop!" The female rushed over, as she did her hood flew off and it revealed two ears that immediately stood up after the hood was removed.

"Our friend Max--"

"Barney, shut up! You can't say things like that!" Red said.

"Oh...Whoops," Barney chuckled, Ross facepalmed. Tom threw Barney and growled.

"Who the nether is Max! That's not the same--wait, this Max fellow, is he here?!" Tom looked back at Barney.

"I's won't tell!" Barney crossed his arms and looked away.

"A little late for that now, isn't it?" Ross muttered.

"Who the hell is Max!"

"Tom, pipe down, we don't want anyone to hear--"

"Sonja, don't you understand, this Max guy has the same power, the same power that did this to us! I'm going to find the f*cker and make him turn us back!"

"Well, calm down!" Tucker pointed his sword at Tom, "Jezz, I know you're a little more aggressive now, but you can't keep blowing up like this."

"Waits, there's anothers with his power?" Barney pointed to Max.

"Barney!" Both Ross and Red shouted, and Max face palmed. Not again he thought. After removing his own hand from his face, he was ill prepared for the blow to his face. Max yelped and stumbled back against the stairs. The stairs dug into his back and he winced at the uncomfortable pain.

"So you're Max, huh? Well, it's your unlucky day..." Tom grinned as Max dizzily sat up clutching his face.

"Wh--" Max was yanked roughly to his feet, he could hear his friends shouting to Tom, and then he could hear Sonja, the one with the animal ears, and Tucker, whose appearance was still unknown, hold back his friends.

"Don't play dumb! You think you're so f*cking powerful with you godd*mn powers! Well you're going to turn us back, turn us back you f*cking f*cker! You and your pal aren't doing this to more people, so hurry up and reverse your magic so I can kill you!"

Max snapped out of it when he heard kill, he summoned some strength to shove Tom off of him. Of course he was still a little dizzy from hitting his head against the stairs and he stumbled backwards and tripped up the stairs. This time he landed on his butt, but it still hurt.

"What the nether are you saying! What the nether is going on!"

"You know what's going on you punk! You and your pal did this to us and you did it to those two over there!" Tom pointed to Ross and Barney.

"Who are you talking about, I don't kno--"

"Quit lying!" Tom was getting angrier, and angrier. He pulled out a sword and swung it around, missing Max entirely, but almost hitting his own companions. It seemed Tom was mad with rage. But Max was still confused.

"Whoa! Max, stop, calm down! That's enough!" Tucker yanked Tom away from everyone, "There is no need to get so aggressive, Tom I understand--"

"You do not understand! You're still human, you're still fine after what happened. Even Sonja has it better off than me. At least neither of you are slowly rotting away!"

Max was slowly understanding. Somehow Tom and Sonja had what was done to Ross and Barney done to them. Except Sonja appeared half human and morvic, and Tom was turning into a zombie. Since he didn't even know something like that could be done, Max felt like what happened to them was beyond his level. Like the powers used were more complex.

"I-I can't turn you back," Max interrupted Tucker and Tom as they argued. Both turned to look at them.

"Wh-what do you mean?" Sonja stuttered.

"I'm not saying I don't want to, but more of that I can't.... I don't know how... Whoever did this to you, I don't know them, and if I did, I won't even remember them. I have no memories of who I am, or where I come from. I barely remember how I got these powers, which is what is drving me and my friends to head to Duhita."

"Duhita?" Tucker echoed.

"From what my few memories tell me, is that going to Duhita, is likely where I can regain some of my memories, get answers, and hopefully find a way to reverse what I've done."

Sonja, Tucker, and Tom all stayed silent, Max added on, "I'm sorry, I want to help, but right now I can't, and believe me when I say, I'll do everything I can to fix this!"

"Come one guys, let's go," Sonja muttered. Tucker nodded before leading Tom away. The mysterious group climbed over the rubble and left them.

They left without another word and Max felt uneasy. He wished he could help them too, but that was not what he felt uneasy about. No, what bothered him was what that group had said. They mentioned another person with his frightening powers, another person who seemed, or at least he assumed, to enjoy using their powers... Did they perhaps lose their memories too? It seemed more likely they actually retained their memories, they had better control over their powers, so they probably knew something that Max did not.

"Do yous thinks they ares gone? Barney asked.

"Well, they are definitely gone, but we don't know if they'll come back," Red said.

"I wonder what that was all about, that Tom guy got really worked up about something." Ross muttered.

"Let's just go to sleep guys," Max sighed and walked back into the study. This was all too much to take in.

Tonight, Max thought, has been one hell of a night. And he wasn't looking forward to the rest of his journey, because it seemed things were only going to get harder.

Well I hope you guys listened to me and are reading this. 

Now, as for what I have to say, it concerns this book--NO I am not putting it on hold or anything like that. I'm just here to say, that if you think this story is going to be 32 chapters long like F2R, then throw that belief out the window :P

This story is going to be way shorter. WAAAAAY shorter, not even book length probably. Anyways this story is mainly being written as a prequel to another story. and this story is shorter because it only happens within a few weeks in the realm. While F2R covered 4ish months in the realm.

This story is short, is what I'm trying to say, in the next 2 chapters if not one, Part 1 will be complete :P My guess is there will only be 2 parts.
