Chapter twenty-four
~Y/N POV~
After speaking to my dad last night to update my parents on the matter of all of us taking a trip to Busan, I decided to take a trip to the woods by myself.
My dad suggested that I should try and see if there is something within myself that could spark what I did months ago when we were attacked by those wolves. He said that anything could come up but kept repeating that I must remain calm and collected with myself. To not let me bad thoughts and feelings get the best of me when I do this.
Focus and content.
That is what I must remain in these woods as I try something.
Standing here alone, I definitely didn't have a clue where to start or if I'm able to do anything at all but I want to try something. It's been a while since the attack in the woods and since everything that has happened between there and then, it's almost hard to believe myself that I'm not human at all.
Just like the seven boys back at the house.
Taking a deep breath I did a quick sweep of the area, standing in place and scanning the trees but nothing. Not a sound or rustles from the bushes or trees.
They did listen to me this time and not follow me. Plus I would sense if they were close by and so far, they're at home.
Not that I can confirm I'm alone, I closed by eyes. Again taking a deep breath and tried to think of things that make me happy.
My dad told me that's something that helps him a lot so I could try that.
I think about my parents, their smiles everything they look at me. My dads hearty laughter, my moms rolling of her eyes but little grin on her face every time my dad cracks a stupid joke.
It brought a smile on my face just thinking about them.
Then I think about the boys.
Our family barbecues we had growing up along with theirs in our back garden. The constant laughter, games and the smell of cooked food just made me feel light on my feet.
Taking another inhale of clear wooded air I breathed out as I started to feel more heat on the skin of my arms. As if the sun was getting hotter by the second.
I opened my eyes to see that the skies above were clear blue, no clouds in sight and the sun was bright to the pint I had to squint my eyes to be able to see what little I could.
It was getting too hot for my liking and in need of cooling. So I stretched out my hands, and waved my hands to the right just for a gust of wind to follow.
I gasped as I felt the chills cause goosebumps all over my skin. Staring at my arms astonished.
That couldn't be a coincidence right?
So I did it again.
But to the left.
And another gust of window rushed through me from the right.
I could only stare at my hands, stunned.
I'm controlling the wind right?
I have to be.
So with a cheek grin on my face I decided to have fun with it. Constantly waving my hands around, from left to right and then back again. Then up and down and twirling around on the spot. Each and every move I made the wind only followed and that made me laugh.
Laughing to myself as I had fun was something maybe someone else would think is weird but I don't care. I just discovered I can control the wind.
I wonder what else I can do?
Spotting a purple flower bud by my feet, I crouched down to it, taking the small bud between my fingers as I gazed to its colour.
Leaning down I took a sniff of the flower but only for it to open up and spread its petals wide to my touch. The smile on my face was huge for sure.
Taking my right hand I waved that hand towards the remaining closed flower buds and each and every one of them opened up on my command.
I let out a squeal and fell back to sit on my butt between the flowers.
Just wait until the boys find out about this!
But...
What if they start to think of me as some freak?
I'm not like they are. What if this affects our friendship and everything else?
Those bad thoughts started to affect me. Negative mind coming into place as I start to imagine them rejecting me and throwing me away.
I don't know where these thoughts suddenly came from but it certainly downed my sprits. Curling my legs up to my chest I hugged my knees. Trying to rid my thoughts of what I know is not true but it won't go away.
Staring off to the flowers angrily, the flowers close back up into buds and a strong gust of wind flowed through as the sky above grew darker from grey clouds.
However I don't look up. Instead I rest my chin to my knees and think about the boys.
What if they were better off without me?
It was my idea to go camping again months ago and look what happened. I'm surprised none of them even blamed me.
It's all my fault what happened.
Feeling a tear fall my cheek did I feel a even bigger drop of wetness fall from the sky to my arm. Then another, then another.
It's raining.
As my negative thoughts wouldn't stop, the more tears fell from my eyes down my cheeks, the more rained poured down until it was heavy. In no time I was soaked through the rain but I didn't care.
Even the lightening and thunder through the skies didn't faze me. I just stayed in my own black hole that filled my mind of my worst nightmares.
~JUNGKOOK POV~
Something didn't feel right.
I paused my game when I noticed the sudden dark clouds outside. It's suppose to be sunny today with a small amount of cloud. This isn't the weather we're supposed to have.
Inside to the pit of my stomach, there was something wrong.
That's when the lightening struck outside and Y/n's name struck in my mind.
Instantly leaving the room I ran out, changing down the corridor but almost clashing into Hoseok on the way out. The two of us sharing the same panicked expression but neither one of us said anything.
Yoongi and Jimin pushed passed us and ran down the stairs which caused Hoseok and I to run after them and out the front door of the house.
Namjoon, Jin and Taehyung were already half way across the garden towards the trees.
It seems they feel something is wrong too.
This pushed me harder to run faster, as quick as my feet would take me.
Using what sense I had to find her in these trees you could feel her aura and it's stronger than usual. It worried me more than scared me but only because I didn't know why.
Coming to a stop, Namjoon, Jin and Taehyung were there first but standing behind y/n. Watching her curled up on the floor with her back facing us. She was emitting a black aura about her. It basically was telling us to back off.
Well I couldn't.
Pushing passed Namjoon and Jin I made slow movements towards her.
Careful were I stepped in case I startled her but thankfully I didn't. Maybe because of the heavy rain and wind she didn't notice me coming.
Stepping around her I squatted down to her level just to reach out and remove some of her wet hair that stuck to her cheeks.
She flinched and looked up at me but I was taken back by her eyes. I never seen anything like it but I didn't want to alarm her by showing my surprise.
The whites of her eyes turned black and the colour of her eyes turned white.
She didn't even blink at me but stare deep into my soul through her wet hair with those eyes.
"Are you okay there y/n? Are you hurt? Did something happen?"
I wiped my eyes of excess rain falling on my face through this heavy rain but I saw the way she shook her head.
"Will you ever leave me?" Y/n
Her question shocked me and instantly o shook my head.
"No. No I would never. Y/n, let's get you out of this rain. You'll catch a cold."
Y/n's quivering lip and puffy eyes broke my heart to see. I don't know what happened for her to be like this but I just took her silence as an yes so I picked her up in my arms bridal side and signalled to the others she's okay.
But the moment I stood up with her in my arms. The rain stopped as well as the wind and the blue skies reappeared.
Clearly something upset her but I'd rather get her home first before any of us question her what happened.
