True Prince 2:
A guy with sandy hair and a beach-bronze tan wearing a shirt open over his sweater stepped forward and knelt before me, waiting for me to place the crown over his head.
I placed it on his head and just like all the vampires who had tried their luck earlier on tonight, nothing happened.
I let out an exasperated sigh and looked at Lorna, she looked just as worried and frustrated as I was.I stole a glance at the king and queen and even they looked like they were about to give up.
No!We couldn't give up, I would not stop until all the vampires from all the kingdom had a chance with this crown!
My palms felt sweaty. My cheeks were getting flushed and I probably stood out like a flare.I'd promised myself to be strong but here with everyone looking at me as if I was there only hope, I felt the control slipping.
Then conversation rose up, even louder than before. There was only one person left whom could possibly the prince.
He'll stand out, I told myself. He had to be here somewhere.
But I soon realized that wasn't true. There was only one person left and if it wasn't him then all was loss, there was no way to find the prince again.
A boy with curly hair, a strong jaw and a heavy brow stepped forward.Even as I placed the crown on his head I knew that he wasn't the prince. It was confirmed when nothing happened.
Lorna somehow got my attention without waving or calling my name. She was standing at the far end of the stage, she had a look of disappointment on her face but gave me a hopeful smile.
She mouthed one word to me, 'Adam'.
It only took me a second to realize what she was trying to say, Adam was the only vampire we hadn't tried the crown on, come to think of it I even placed the crown on Dylan's head.
Could it be him?It wasn't possible, was it?
It wouldn't hurt to try.
I moved all the way around the room, right at the edges, I searched the crowd hungrily, seeking Adam's blond hair, his broad shoulders, those mesmerizing dark green eyes.
I stepped back onto the stage, feeling miserable, where was he?I tried to look on the positive side.
Who was I kidding, there wasn't any positive side to this.
I turned to Lorna and started walking towards her, not noticing the thick wire on the ground that connected the microphone to the stereo.
When I finally did realise it however it was too late for I tripped , the crown flying out of my hands.
I quickly stood up,wiping out the dust from my dress.
Something was wrong however since I heard gasps all over the room, why was everyone in shock?
I looked at Lorna and even she was in shock, staring at something behind me.
I followed her gaze and was frozen on the spot.
The crown was glowing, RED!
I couldn't see the persons face however, but somehow I knew.I would notice that blond hair and broad shoulders anywhere.
My suspicions were confirmed when he turned to face me.
ADAM!
Adam, the Prince of bad vampires was really the prince of good vampires!
