"Are you sure you want to do this?"Lorna asked studying me.

I had decided that it was best that we held a ball , so that all the princes and vampires would get a chance with the crown, we needed to find out who the true prince was, it was my duty.

I still wasn't completely sure if I wanted to go through with it however, I was still pretty much in love with Adam.

I stood staring out at the village in front of me, where children played happily outdoors, that's how I always wanted it to remain and I knew that the village needed there prince to protect them when King Charm wasn't there anymore.I knew what was the right thing to do.

"I'm sure."I replied forcing a smile on my face.

She studied me more closely this time, and hesitated a bit before she finally nodded her head.

She stood up from where she was sitting , picking up the crown from the wooden table.

"Here, hold the crown."she muttered placing it in my hands.I stared at it, it truly was beautiful and I wondered just how would it look when it glowed red, I was positive that it would be one of those sights that took your breath away.

"Your ready?"Lorna asked.

Nodding my head, I held the crown in one hand while my other held onto the length of my beautifully designed red dress.

We walked in silence both of us not saying anything, maybe because we  knew this was our only hope of finding the true prince.If this didn't work, the Lord alone knew what else will.

"Lorna I have something I want to confess but please don't get angry, just hear me out."I said breaking the silence.

She needed to know.I wanted at least one person to know the truth.

She paused, turning on her heels to look at me with worried eyes.

"What is it?"she inquired.

How could I tell her?What if she didn't take it too well.

Taking a deep breath I looked her straight in the eye as I spoke."I love someone, at first I wasn't sure, all I knew was that I had strong feelings towards him but after yesterday I was positive that it was love.Lorna, I'm in love with Prince Adam of bad vampires."I blurted out, praying that she wouldn't create a scene.

I waited for her to say something but when she didn't I looked up at her, she wasn't looking at me, she seemed deep in thought.

Why do I feel like she already knew this?

I gasped."You already knew didn't you?"I asked in shock.

"I wasn't sure but it was sort of plain to see, you always showed affection towards him.I guess I always knew just never wanted to admit in to myself."she whispered.

Was it really that obvious?

I nodded my head and started to walk off but she held onto my arm pulling me to a stop.

"If you love Adam then why are you going through with all of this?"she questioned her eyes wide.

I looked down at the ground, trying to stay strong."I promised you and everyone else that I would help you find the Prince and that's exactly what I'm going to do."I said finally looking up to smile at her.

A smile touched her lips."You truly are the best Krysta, few people can make the sacrifice you're going to make."

I smiled at that, for once I was positive I was doing the right thing. The people of this kingdom and all the kingdoms in fact came first, they always will.

We walked towards the assembly area where everyone was waiting , I was surprised to see that everyone was silent, no one spoke.

Lorna and I walked onto the stage where the king and queen waited for us.

They both smiled and walked towards me.

"Thank you for doing this Krysta."they exclaimed hugging me tightly.

I smiled and hugged them back.

"Shall we begin?"I asked and they nodded.

Taking a deep breath again I closed my eyes and prayed that  we would find the prince.It was the first time that I had actually wanted to find him, before I was to stubborn and only thought about myself but this time I was thinking about everyone's happiness.I wanted to know who the true Prince really was.

"John Blake."I heard them call.

And so the search for Prince Adam of good vampires began.
