"What exactly are you trying to say?"I asked the queen, the king wasn't with us he was already ordering all of our fighters.

"Our kingdom is under attack, vampires are being killed as we speak."

I gasped , my eyes widening as the information dawned on me.We were under attack!

Lorna made her way towards us, resting her hands on my shoulders.

"Don't worry Krysta, everything is going to be okay."she assured me but her eyes said something totally different, she knew just as much as I knew that we were in deep trouble.

I took a deep breath and could hear the air rush in.It sounded like a terribly large amount of air but I still needed more, that and a whole lot of courage.

I couldn't seem to take in enough air.

"What can we do thelp?"I asked turning to the queen, my heart racing from the horrible turn of events.

She shook her head ."I don't think you should step out of this castle."she whispered ."It isn't safe.Adam isn't here to protect you."she explained.

I understood the queen's fear but at the same time I couldn't just sit around while people were dying!

"Quern Lilina, I must go to help, its what I was brought here for."I pressed, hoping she would listen to my plea.

"Krysta you don't seem to understand.There is nothing you can do, without Adam here your powers are weak, you're only strong with him near you, unless you are both bonded."

Bonded?This was the first time I had heard this, no one had bothered to mention it before.

I stared at her, a confused expression on my face.

"Bonded?"I inquired.

She sighed and motioned for me to have a seat next to her.

"There is something we hadn't mentioned before, not that we didn't want to, its just that we didn't think it necessary at the time.Both of you shall be bonded only when Adam bites you.That's when your powers will show its true force."

How was that possible?I needed to be bitten before my powers could properly surface.

I sighed , I couldn't think about this now, not when people were dying.

"I understand your fear but I must help these people."

"But—"

"I will be with her the entire time Queen Lilina , I promise to protect her with my life."Lorna cut in.

I turned to her and smiled, even I will risk my life to protect you.

The queen looked between us and sighed in defeat, probably realising that she couldn't stop either of us.

"Fine, go but please be safe."

Lorna and I wasted no time for her to change her mind as we rushed out the door and out of the castle.

"What's the plan?"I asked Lorna as we headed out the castle's gates.

"Save the people."she replied as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

"Great plan."I muttered rolling my eyes at her tone.Which caused her to grin in return.

ADAM'S POV:

"Father I know who your son is."I shouted loud enough for him to hear me, this caught his attention as he stopped walking and turned to me, a shocked expression on his face.

Dylan who was standing next to me turned to stare at me in shock also.

"What?"

"I think I know who your real son is."I answered more firmly, my voice noticeably stronger.

"Who?"he demanded.

"Kyle."

Dylan stiffened besides me as my father stood speechless.

"How do you know?"he finally asked.

I took a deep breath as I started to explain."Krysta said that he wants to kill me because I stole what was his which is assume is all this."I said pointing at the castle around me."He also shares a resemblance to Dylan,which is quite noticeable, don't you agree?"

He didn't answer just stared at me, not exactly looking at me, I could tell his mind was far.It pained me to be the one to unite father and son, especially since both Dylan and my father would forget about me after but there was no mistaking that it was the right thing to do.

Since my talk with Krysta last night, I was totally restless, at the mention of her beautiful name, my heartbeat seemed to accelerate and I suddenly had this uncontrollable desire to have her next to me , I already missed her.If I was restless this morning,  was more restless now at being away from her.That wasn't the only thing however, I had this constant nagging feeling that something was wrong.

"You mean to say that good for nothing bastard is my brother?"Dylan hissed snapping me out of my thoughts."Have you seen that guy, he looks nothing like me."he added in disgust.

Shouldn't he be happy? After all he always said that I was too good to be his brother.

"Why aren't you happy?"I asked."You always complained about me being your brother."I pointed out.

He grinned, surprising me , something that Dylan never failed to do."You are my only brother."

His words surprised me even more.I couldn't believe he felt like that.I couldn't stop the huge smile that spread across my face either as I hit him playfully on his back.

There was a loud knocking on the palace's door.

"Come in."

"King Richard we have news."one of the messengers said, by the look on his face I could that he had travelled far to bring this message to us.

"What?"Dylan questioned since my father looked as though he was still in a state of shock.

"King Charm's kingdome is under attack, vampires are dying as we speak."

My breath hitched as fear engulfed me...Krysta!

"What about the princess?"I found myself asking.

"You mean Krysta?"

"Yes!"I snapped impatiently, my voice coming out harsher than expected.

"She was with her witch friend out in the village trying to help the villagers when I left."

My fear only increased at his words, of course she would go to help!Damn it!

"Who is attacking?"Dylan asked.

"Kyle, he seems to have formed a group with vampires, witches and rogues."the messenger answered with a shaky voice.

That was like a stab through my chest, Kyle!What was I supposed to do?He was now my father's true son, how could I stop him without harming him?

Another thing shocked me also, rogues!

I could understand the witches, Zilda must have had something to do with that, but werewolves?Werewolves hated vampires, then why were they siding with Kyle?

I silently cursed as I started to walk.

"I'm coming with you."Dylan said behind me.

What?He couldn't come, I wouldn't risk him getting hurt.

"No, you stay here and protect this castle."I ordered.

I heard him sigh behind me before I ran off with inhuman speed.

I looked on almost excitedly to see their leader, which startled me a bit, why was I , Aurora Robins, excited to see the leader of the vampires?

I soon lost all coherent thought however as the leader stepped forward.

He wasn't at all what I had expected and it scared me at the way my body reacted to seeing him.Never before had I felt this way.

His scent surrounded me and I realised much against my will that he was every woman's dream, the kind of prince that every girl fantasised about, the kind that came out of fairy tales.His hair was black which highlighted his deep mesmerizing blue eyes.He had a height much alike to my father's tall figure.

His body was muscular and don't get me started on his face!He was every bit of handsome.

His whole entire being spoke of a strength of character that no one should challenge.

"Alpha Miles, its an honour to finally meet you, allow me to introduce myself, I am Prince Dylan of bad vampires."

Beep....beep...beeep.

I think my heart just stopped beating...
