"We're here!"Lorna said with a forced smile on her face.

"I don't think I can do this!"I said panicking all over again. I was nervous since we left home this morning, Lorna had to literally drag me and carry me in the carriage and now we were  in front of King Richard's huge but scary castle!

"Krysta we went over this already, you would be fine!You're one of the most bravest humans I've ever met, you'll do great, besides its not like if they would recognise you, I've already given you a disguise!"Lorna said for the second time today.

"I know, but what if they see past the disguise, sense magic or something and everything goes wrong!"I exclaimed!

I know I  was being a big baby, the truth was I wasn't scared of the vampires killing me, which was something I should of been afraid of, I was actually scared of seeing Adam everyday for an entire week!What if I got one of those feelings I get with him and loose control and worse yet blow my cover!

"Sweetie you worry too much, now go before I have to push you out the carriage myself!"

"Fine!"I mumbled.

With one big sigh, I forced my foot to move,each step was like a task, I felt like I was committing suicide by agreeing to do this!

I turned too give Lorna one last look, narrowing my eyes as I saw the smirk on her face.

"I'm only doing this for you, take care Lorna!"I said and hurried off before I did something stupid like run back into the carriage and beg for her to take me home.

As soon as I reached the huge wooden door and knocked ,a servant appeared before me .

"I see you've finally made it miss, the prince is waiting for you!"He said dryly.

Did he say the prince?Wasn't I supposed to meet the king?

"The prince?"I asked my eyes widening in fear.

"Yes miss, aren't you the Prince's new maid?"the servant enquired.

I was the new maid but Lorna didn't say anything about being the Prince's maid!I am going to kill her when I see her next!

"Yes, I believe so but which prince?"

Please let it be Adam's brother, please let it be his brother!

"Prince Adam,are you sure you're the maid?"the servant asked eyeing me suspiciously.

"Of course I am, why do you ask?"I asked becoming nervous again.

"Its just that we have a lot of young girls who pose as maids just to get a chance at meeting the prince!"He explained.

What?For some reason that made me angry, girls actually did that?

"Well I can assure you that I'm no imposter!"I replied calmly.

The servant smiled warmly and told me to follow him.I quickly obeyed and we didn't speak again until we reached Adam's room.

"Here we are, I wish you best of luck, you will need it!"The middle-aged servant said knowingly.

I knew that I would need more than luck to get through this week alive however.

I entered the room and hoped for the best.I wasn't prepared for what I saw next though, Adam was lying on his bed,shirtless,one arm under his neck!He was staring at the ceiling as if lost in thought!

His eyes suddenly snapped towards my direction as if sensing my presence.

" Who are you?"Adam asked with a quirked eyebrow, unaware of the fact that his muscular chest was doing weird things to me.

I was afraid to say anything, afraid that my chirpiest voice wouldn't be a good disguise.The horrible feeling of connection was mounting, like some giant wave looming over us.

What if the moment would break and Adam would say 'I know you ' and then everything would be over!
