" Here's your room."Glace opened the door and flicked the near switch. 

Maria saw exactly 4 king sized beds for each of them. Each of the girls automatically went to their own desired bed. Maria put her bag down and then she noticed plants keep growing around her. Flustered, she tried to call for Miss.Glace. But when she turned around she saw the other corners of the room were also starting to morph.

Before looking at the others, she watched her own side of the room transform. Her bed were suddenly lifted by vines that came from the ceiling. Vines that were covered with tones of flowers. The flooring was changed into a view of the deep sea. Maria was appalled, she noticed the transformation of the ceiling to white from starry night sky. It was like she was in her own dimension.

The others were in a state of amazement when she looked at all of them. Daniella mainly has a library in her side . Angelica has a lot of fairies in her lair. And Lucilla has a den full of different animals, mythical or non-mythical.

Glace observed from the door the change of their rooms. She grinned at the great modification. "Normalities really do have a wild imagination."

"Trying to distract us huh?" Daniella commented.

"I believe you're pardon?" Glace turned to Daniella, who gave her an unwavering glare

Daniella rolled her eyes and had her arms crossed. "Ms. Glace, am I correct?" 

" Yes, Ms. Daniella. I don't have a grasp of the reason behind your sentence. 'Trying to distract us' " 

" Cla-"

"Don't speak of the headmistress' name" the tone of Glace shifted.

Daniella rolled her eyes. "The headmistress canceled the spell I casted. Is there are reason for that?" 

Maria remembered the scene at the other room

A scene from before appeared like a mist in the room. It was the scene when the guy spoke to the four of them.

But before the scene could proceed, the lady made her move. "Cancelio!"

Even for Maria that was unusual. Once the headmistress saw the figure of the guy, she panicked and made her move. Maria thought about it more. " It was like... She didn't want anyone to see the guy in our memories." 

Glace shrugged uncomfortably.  " I don't know"

It was Maria's turn to speak " Is the guy a fugitive or something?"

" Heavens no! Glaciel is not a -" Glace stopped, and realized what she had done "...great, I told you his name ." 

By this time the four girls circled around Glace. " So? " Daniella crossed her arms " Who is this Glaciel?"

Glace stared at the four of them , then she sighed "Fine, I guess I brought this myself." but before she could tell a word, Glace's eyes changed and then all of a sudden the doors and windows were closed, and Maria saw a force field surround them.

" Uh... What just happened?" Maria asked, looking uncomfortable.

" What I'm about to tell you is known to the public, but I may say something classified so I took extra precaution." Glace explained

" I'm not surprised since you offer us information so easily." Daniella chuckled

Lucilla hit Daniella" Calm down Daniella"

" No no, it's fine. Now shall we begin?" 

The mid floor changed and snowflake chairs were added. Maria and the rest were shocked the nearly trip but caught by the floating snowflake chairs, and Glace floated right into the middle. Then she started her tale.

"Around 15 years ago, a special event happened in the Plaza of Magica. It was in front of the palace of the majesty. The event was suppose to tell the people of Magica a propechy or at least how would things go for this generation, like it always does."

Maria decided to cut it. " Like it always does? So this prophecy thing happens all the time?" 

" Not  ' all the time' since ... Well, anyways it only happens per generation."

Daniella narrowed her eyes " Since what?"

Glace got annoyed " Let me at least finish ok? You guys will be confused if I don't tell the stories straight. "

Lucilla and Angelica laughed  " She's right you guys."

"Yah she's not gonna go anywhere anyway. You two have to calm down."Angelica smiled at Maria. "You'll get your answers soon enough."

Daniella rolled her eyes "Whatever ..."

Glace continued " But the people of Magica didn't hear the full prophecy. Noone did."

This caused alarm in the room . Lucilla reacted "What why?"

Maria noticed the pain in Glace's eyes. They gave Maria the impression she didn't want to continue the tale but-

"Gasiel...The one who was telling the prophecy. The one who was translating the prophecy to us was killed."

Gasps escaped from the four girls. 

Angelica covered her mouth from shock " No...Why?"

"Well from what we saw. An old enemy returned and caused panic in the plaza. No one ever heard the complete prophecy. And no one remembers what happened in the plaza."

"What do you mean 'no one remembers' "Daniella asked. Her curiosity never wavered.

"The King cast a large scale of magic on Magica. He and the Queen created an illusion of shooting stars in the sky, and when people look at the sky their memories would immediately wipe out about anything related to the prophecy. "

"Why would he do that?"Maria asked "Does he want his citizens to remain ignorant of what happened?"

"He wanted the citizens to stop living in fear. "Glace's eyes flared towards Maria "Did you know what happened to the citizens of Runesia!? They were scared of the littlest things. Just by someone casting a spell in the road to fix or get something gets them triggered and start a fight. "

It was silent in the room 

"Runesia... Runesia is the kingdom where they majesty lived. It was ruled by fear at that time. The King obviously didn't want that. So he made the citizens look up to the sky, while the Queen cast an memory spell..."

Maria wondered about something "But... If the King wanted everyone to forget, how come you still remember?"

"Few chosen people remember about the prophecy. Those people are the ones who are trusted by the King and trusted by the friends of the King. "

Maria raised an eyebrow"So where do you belong?"

Glace smiled "I am a friend of a friend"

Angelica started waving her hands "Wait what does this have to do with our original question?"

"oh, we'll get there. There's another reason why we're depressed by the death of Gasiel. "

"What?"

"He was the last descendant of the Erudon family. "

The four of them light up . Maria beamed at the sound of that name "Erudon family!! I read that name before! It's  in our book! "

"Really? Well let me explain in a brief sentence. Erudon family is the strongest family if we're talking about magical abilities. Sure there are many more Magicalitie out there that are stronger than them, but they're a family. A whole pack of Magicalities with the same blood. They're also the only magicalities who can chose 10 powers. "

Lucilla almost fell in her seat "10 POWERS?! HOW CAN SOMEONE HAVE SO MANY?!" 

"Yes, and they can chose it at the right time. Those 10 powers, and another power that only their family posses."

"Which is ??"

"The power to see the future. It is why they're the ones who tell the prophecy . They know what will happen, and how they can prevent from evil from winning "

"oooh. And... Gasiel's the last one of that family?"

Glace went blue once again "Yes..."

Daniella sensed something was wrong "What happened? Is the Erudon family few? Are they that easy to wipe out?"

"heavens no. They were tons Daniella, tons."

"Then why?"

"Th-there was a genocide back then. Killed almost all of them . "

"What, how?!"

Glace got stern "You'll learn that in your tales class! Lets save that story some time ok?"

Angelica began to scratch her head. "But that still doesn't answer our original question. "

"Ah right. The man you showed us in your memories, he is the last Erudon. "

All four of them went white "What?"

"Yes, Gasiel."

Even Daniella was shocked "What does that mean!? We were speaking to dead man all this time?!"

"Now Daniella calm down!"Glace raised her voice. "The reason why the King kept our memories is he wants us to find Gasiel. "

"What??"

Lucilla rolled her eyes "This is just getting more confusing by the minute."

"The King knew that Gasiel was alive all this time. But he doesn't where he's hiding. "Glace suddenly turned serious "You four, I swear if you tell this to anyone. "

They looked at each other "Don't worry Glace."

"We wont."

Glace breathe in a sigh of relief. "I'll count you on that. The reason why the headmistress canceled your spell was because..." Glace stopped short.

Maria noticed this. " Because??"

"She thinks there's a spy in the council. My guess is if they see Gasiel that would only mean that he's alive. Which is not known to the enemy. "

"Meaning the enemy would try to search for Gasiel and kill him on the spot." Daniella deduced. 

"Correct."

Maria let all what she heard sink in. They spoke to an Erudon, the last Erudon to be exact. And the guy was supposed to be dead. But he apppeared in the four of them . "Why would he appear in the four of us?"

Glace smirked at this question "You four must be pretty special"

Angelica sighed "Again, that didn't answer the question. "

Glace shrugged"I don't know."

Maria recalled all they talked about ... There were two questions on her mind.

"Ms. Glace."

"Yes Daniella?"

"You said that the Erudons see the future right?"

"Yes that's true."

"If they can see the future, why didn't they prevent their extinction? "

Maria was shocked that Daniella had the same question. 

"Hey Daniella!"Lucilla whispered "That's going too far!"

"It's fine, it's fine. " Glace reassured "But Daniella, it's one of the biggest mysteries in Magica. Till now, we don't know why. "

"Is that so..."Daniella was kind of disappointed.

"Ms. Glace"

"Yes Maria??"

"You said Erudons can chose 10 powers right?"

"It's true."

"For a single Magicalitie, how many powers can they normally have?"

"It depends actually. But I guess 7 or 1. "

"Seriously?! One can only have one power?"Maria asked, unsure of what she was hearing.

"Yes, but let me explain in detail.  In this school magicalities are classified into two. The Sykrëis and the Gëikrumes. "

Lucilla shock her head "The what now?"

Glace laughed at the confusion of the girl. "Sykrëis and Gëikrumes are the two classifications of magicalitie in our school. The Sykrëis meaning specific. Magicalities who posses specific powers belong to this class. While the Gëikrumes stands for general. Magicalities who posses general types of powers belong to this class."

Even Daniella was confused. "I don't follow..."

"For example the power of speed. If we're talking about Speed:specific then we're only talking about the magicalitie possesing the power of speed. Like the magicalitie able to run fast as light."

Maria couldn't contain her curiosity "And in general?"

Glace's eyes lightened up. Her mouth formed a smile. This shocked Maria because it was a whole knew expression she was emitting. Glace stood up. "Speed: General is so much different. A magcalitie possesing this has multiple connections to speed. "

Lucilla followed the upbeat attitude. "Woaah!! Ms. Glace slow down ahhaha."

"If one has a power of speed: general,  one can speed up so many things not only herself. She could speed up things, the process of aging, even time! "

Hearing this Maria's eyes lit up as well as the others.

Angelica snapped her fingers. "I get it now!!"

" That's why it's named general." Lucilla agreed.

"It's sweet and a pretty nice thing to have." Daniella smirked.

Maria looked at Glace. " It must be pretty lucky to be a Gëikrumes, right?" 

But the face that Glace made implied a different answer. "That's what I thought to but..."

"But?"

Glace clenched her fist. " Our students are different. If you're a Gëikrumes you'll only recieve about 1-3 powers in name. The students make fun of that. If you're Sykrëis on the other hand you'll recieve about 7 powers in total."

" What?"

"Even though you can speed up many things. Yourself, growth, things, time, in the end that is still counted as one power. " Glace looked at Maria's confused face. " Speed." 

Daniella thought about it. " Indeed. I guess speed in time, speed in growth or others doesn't count."

Glace shook her head. " It doesn't. Around per year, one can only receive one power. Or in the case of the Gëikrumes, they can upgrade their powers per year. That's why in the end they can only have 1-3 powers..."

Lucilla was saddened by this thought. " And...the Gëikrumes... Are they bullied here?"

"Yes... Since I'm in charge of the infirmary here, I take care of the injured. One cause is...well, the discrimination of the students."

Maria thought of something. " When do students know what class they belong? "

" They would know once they obtain their second powers."

Maria raised an eyebrow. " Wait I thought magicalities get powers per year?"

"Yes. That means they won't know till they're in second year." 

"Is that so.." Maria was a bit down by the thought. " And here I am planning to live normally after a year. Guess I won't be classified at all. " 

Daniella raised her head " I have another question. " she held her necklace . " What does this do?"

Glace displayed the ring on her finger. " They have many important purpose in Magica. One is this serves as proof you're a magicalitie. You were acknowldge by another magicalitie. Things like these can't be duplicated, that's why it might as serve as your identity. "

A loud sound echoed in the room. It was like a sound of a water droplet. 

Maria turned around " What was that?" 

Glace snapped her finger, and the snowflake chairs were gone. " That was the clock girls. It's time for bed. " 

Angelica was confused " What clock?"

"Maybe our clock works differently in your world-" Glace pointed at the hourglass."- we use hourglasses here. "

The girls looked at the hourglass located at the far top of their room. Most of the sand is at the upper part, and it just started pouring down. When the took a closer look they noticed the markings on the glass. Once the sand in the glass reached a specific height it depicts an hour has passed. And when the glass is full at the bottom, it is implied that half of the day has passed.

Having this knowledge the girls packed up for bed. The three were fixing there bed while Maria guided Glace to the door. 

"It's night time already." Glace bid her goodbyes and was about to close the door when-

"Wait!" Maria almost forgot something important. 

"Yes Maria?" 

" Does this school have tree stumps?"

The girls paused hearing this.

"Yes, I think there are many in the garden.Why do you ask?" 

"Nothing, just curious. Thank you Ms. Glace. "

Lucilla looked at Maria " Good thing you remembered."

"Yah, I almost forgot too." Maria said

"We're gonna search for it the moment we have free time tomorrow. " Daniella said sternly.

"Ooh!! This is getting exciting!! " Angelica kept bouncing up and down on her bed with a smile on her face. "I wonder what's inside the secret room?"

"I don't know maybe a map or something " Daniella shrugged

Lucilla looked up and put her finger on her chin as if remembering something " The map in the lost and rotten, shall be the guide to the treasure long forgotten. I believe that's what the prophecy said. "

"I know Lucilla. " Angelica rolled her eyes " I mean other than the map. I wonder what's under there."

Lucilla beamed " Who knows?"

THUD

"woah!" Maria looked at the source of the sound . " You okay there Daniella?"

"I just realized something. "

"What is it?"

"We never introduced ourselves to Ms. Glace, right?"
