After yesterday's fight, Angelica is pretty excited to what will happen next. And today is their first day of class.

But before that the girls ate breakfast at the main lobby. They arrived early so decided to eat breakfast a little later. They all sat down on a long bench and decided to chat for a little bit.

Daniella was busy telling her guesses of their soon to be subjects. "Of course there will be history. I mean every dimension has a history." 

"I wonder if the history here is as boring on Earth." Maria joked

Lucilla groaned. "Let's hope not. I don't want to fall asleep on my first day." then her shoulders dropped.

"I don't think the history here will be as boring as the one on Earth. I mean-" Daniella looked at Lucilla. "do you view fantasy as boring?" 

Lucilla's eyes widened. " Hell no!" 

Angelica chuckled " You don't have to be worked up about it." 

Maria stood up. " I don't know about you guys, but I'm hungry. Anyone want to come with me?" 

Angelica knew she was also hungry so she also stood up. " I'm coming with you. " 

"Sure. " Maria glanced at the other two. " How about you guys? " 

" We will guard this space so no one could steal our seats." Daniella answered as she searched for her book. 

" We'll grab our breakfast later. " Lucilla added. 

" Ok. "

Maria and Angelica walked towards the table to get their desired food. Since they had nothing to talk about for a while Angelica's mind drifted to the event from yesterday. 

"Maria."

" Hm?" 

"What do you think about the fight from yesterday?"

Anngelica noticed a sparkle glinted in Maria's eyes as she said the word 'fight'. "To be honest. I wanted more."then she took absorbed her own words and just realized what she said. She looked at Angelica . "Or is that too weird?"

Angelica felt a chuckle from her mouth. "Actually I feel the same. "

They arrived in the table that served a lot of food. They had a variety of choices, and with the presentation of the food it's not easy to prioritize which one they should eat first..

"But do you remember Peace? You know that guy that protected us from all that?" Angelica grabbed the tongs that were readily placed in front of the prepared dishes. "You're not gonna use these?"

Maria shook her to Angelica. And Angelica didn't even bother to ask because she saw the bread from one of the silver trays fly to Maria's plate like it's a normal routine for her.

"Yeah, I remember. Why?"Angelica chose her own breakfast meal as she and Maria continued to have a conversation. 

"Do you have a guess what his powers might be?" 

Maria's shoulders dropped . "Actually no, I was pretty confused too." suddenly Angelica noticed Maria's nose twitched. Then the blue-eyed girl turn around.

 Angelica laughed to herself. "Let's continue this conversation to table, ok? Maybe the other have some ideas. " then she started walking to the other side of the buffet

Maria was surprised. "But-"

"You go over there and get your favorite buttered toast. I'll be at the other side." the way the her friend's eyes beamed at the sight of that food gave away her true feelings.

"Thanks. "then she hurried towards the other direction.

Angelica also started walking.

She had a trouble controlling her curiosity last night. Seeing that strange gas, that green of a gas made Angelica question herself what really happened. She saw a pretty huge beam hurling towards them. She and Maria thought it was impossible to dodge since they barely had the time to do it. But when she opened her eyes, preparing herself for the impact. That beam was replaced by gas.

Her brows furrowed at the thought.

Even if that gas was there the beam should've passed through it and hit them. "Maybe it's a shield?"she whispered to herself. But then gasses are never solid. They wouldn't be able to protect them from that strong wild beam.

Suddenly Angelica felt a short pain on her forehead. "Ow! What the-?!"

A bored looking guy was in front of her when she looked up. "Wow that really worked, huh?" the guy looked at his hand, and Angelica is assuming those fingers are the ones who caused the pain in her forehead that she's feeling right now. 

The yellow strokes of hair from the guy's side is very familiar to Angelica's eyes. Those bored looking pupils of his triggered a memory.

Angelica's tone changed drastically. "You're one of the attackers from yesterday." her position was different from earlier. It's clear she classifies the guy in front of her as an enemy.

But Angelica saw that the guy didn't care of what how she sees him. "Call me Vlade instead of attacker. " then his eyes looked at the plate she's holding. "The buffet is way over there miss. "

"Huh? But I was just-" Angelica looked at the table she just saw earlier to her right side, but it's not there. "Uh..." she turned back a little more only to see she's passed even the spoons and forks which are the last on the long table.

She heard Vlade sighed. "You didn't notice?"

The irritation is bubbling inside her. "What do you care. " then she looked at him once more.

But instead of getting mad, Angelica saw the enjoyment in Vlade's face. "Woah, what a scary face miss. I was trying to help you, yah know? What if you bumped into someone holding that plate, huh?" he pointed at the white porcelain plate resting carelessly in her hands. "You don't posses the ability to control things unlike Miss. Blonde over there."he motioned his head to the direction where Maria is.

Angelica saw the happiness in Maria's face as she picks out the buttered toast. But that's not what caught her eye. Behind Maria is one of the guys from last night, creepily walking towards her without a sound. He carefully removed his headphones, and when he's close enough...

Both Angelica and Vlade jumped by the next event.

The guy ,recklessly without shame , put his headphones on Maria's ears. Her shout vibrated throughout the hall. Eyes of every student, every magicalitie looked where that weird shrill came from. 

Angelica's eyes are still stuck on the two of them. But she saw Vlade's point. Since she was surprised, Maria involuntarily loosened her grip on the tongs and plate she was holding. The toast already on the plate flew in mid-air as it fell. However, none of those reached the floor. They stopped falling, and thus no damage was done. Maria's frustration was obvious though.

Angelica turned to Vlade, who was already laughing uncontrollably. With one hand on his stomach and another on his head he let his laughs out without a care. "Hahahaha! That Lex!!" he took a breath and stopped laughing after a while. He smiled at Angelica. "Your friend over there is easily spooked you know."

Angelica was losing her patience. "What do you want?"

"Well for starters I want to know what got you thinking so hard that you passed by the buffet."

"It's that obvious huh?" Angelica felt her own shoulder's drop. "I was curious of Peace."

Angelica could that question got Vlade even more confused. "Peace? What's with him. "

"His powers. That gas belonged to him right? " Angelica started walking towards the buffet tables once more. And as she expected Vlade followed her. "Gasses can't stop beams. But his gas did."

Vlade chuckled. "It's funny how you said 'his gas'" his hands matched the words his gas as he made a peace sign out of them, while his fingers moved up and down. 

"Well I don't what it's called you know. "Angelica picked up some of the pineapples lined up neatly in one tray. "I'm wondering what his power is. "next she chose to scoop up some rice but- "Uhm... Hey Vlade-"

But he already went ahead and grabbed the saucer carrying the fruits Angelica picked earlier. "Yeah , Yeah I'll help you. "

Angelica can't help but smile at his embarrassed gesture. "Thank Vlade. "

"I-it's nothing. "It was then she realized the tint of red forming at his cheeks. 

She decided to ignore it and keep it to herself.

"Why are you laughing?!"

"Nothing!!!"

After getting her desired food Vlade and Angelica started heading towards their table. It seemed that Vlade's friends are already there too, together with Daniella and Lucilla. Angelica laughed inside once she saw the irritation in Daniella's eyes.

But it surprised her that food is already set up for Daniella and Lucilla who said they'd grab their breakfast after Maria and herself. Angelica guessed it must've been the two guys who are with them right now. 

"Vlade."

"What now."

"Why are you helping me with my breakfast? "

And then there's that tint of red in his cheeks again. "Why? You don't like it? "

Angelica narrowed her eyes "It's a question Vlade. Not a complaint. "

His shyness was obvious enough as he looked for the right words. His eyes kept moving all around the place ."Peace thought it was a good idea."

"Good idea for what?" 

"For us to be friends."

That was a shock for Angelica. "Friends?"

There she noticed that it wasn't a tint anymore. Red covered his whole face as Vlade shouted back at Angelica. "Don't make me repeat myself!!"then he started walking in a more brisked pace making himself ahead of Angelica.

And the shocked girl was left there, wordless.

"Wow, so that's how boys blush. "and then she giggled softly to herself.

When they arrived, the people at the table were already noisy. Not forgetting to eat their breakfast too. 

"Miss Maria, I am completely astonished by your one of a kind shrill."despite the joke, Angelica saw the poker face in the guy's face as he said this. "I am honored at your presence. "then he bowed slightly.

Then she noticed that Peace had acknowledge her and Vlade's company. "Great! Now we're complete."Peace waited til the two newcomers have settled down. "Why don't we introduce ourselves. My name is Peace Phial Pyre."

Lucilla let out a laugh. "It's funny because his abbreviation is PPP.  Hahahha!!"and then she let her own laugh go out of control.

Peace sighed."I get that a lot. But calling me Peace is fine. You're next Lex."

"I'm not telling you my whole name unlike Mr. Itrusteveryone here. Lex is fine." Angelica's eyes landed on the headphones he put on Maria earlier.

" Guess he got them back?"

"I'm still calling you buffoon, buffoon. "Maria said before taking a bite from her toast.

"Whatever dope. "Lex rolled his eyes.

"I said my name is-!"

"EHEM!" Peace let out a pretty loud and terrifying cough. 

Causing everyone to jump

"You're next Clarence."

"You know Lex, they're gonna know during attendance check. My name is Clarence Lurkhelm. That's all." he pointed out he was done as soon as he took a sip from his mug.

Silence passed the group's table for a few seconds.

"Well that was short. "Peace looked at Vlade. "Well then-"

"Vlade. That's the only thing you need to know about me. "

The tone in his voice made Angelica wonder about all the blushing she witnessed before.

Daniella put down her spoon and then scanned the boys in front of her. "Ok to make things easy for me. Vlade is yellow stripes, Lex is mr.headphones, Peace is mr.nice, and then Clarence here is Mr. Idon'tcare."

Lucilla and Maria snorted when Daniella said. Even Angelica put her hand to her mouth to stifle her laughter.

"If I'm Mr. Idon'tcare, then you're Ms....Ms...."

It's Daniella's turn to laugh now. "Aw, does Mr. Idon'tcare don't have a comeback?" 

Peace sighed.

"That's the 20th time you've sighed today Peace. "Lex said as he attempted to take a bite on Maria's bread.

But before he did Maria swallowed the whole thing. And Lex was left, mouth open and all. Even though Maria knew that he was looking at her, she ignored him and continue chewing on the scrumptious toast.

"How could I not sigh... "Peace whispered to himself

Just then Angelica felt breathe on her ear. "Why don't you ask Peace now." he whispered

"What?"

" About 'his gas' " 

Suddenly Angelica felt her courage go down the drain. " I can't do that!" she whispered back

The surprise in his face quickly changed into irritation. " Why not?" 

" W-well..." everything is happening so fast for Angelica that her mind can't keep up. "Uhm..." 

And then suddenly Vlade can't take it anymore. " Hey Peace. " 

And he called just in time before Peace took the spoon inside his mouth. " What is it Vlade?" 

" Can you explain your powers to this brownie over here. " 

Angelica can  feel heat rising to her cheeks. " Wha-?!" 

" Oh..." Peace put down the mug he was holding. Then Angelica saw it once more, the way he presented his palm like the other night. And at that small palm of his, appeared a gas in the hue of aqua. " I can make any kind of gas with any kind of effect. " 

The scent already took over in their table. It entered her nose effortlessly. "It's... a calming gas." 

Peace smiled. " Of course I can't waste my energy to early in the morning." then he closed his palm, and the scent soon disappeared. "The same rule applies to me." he looked at Angelica. "I'm sure you all know the rule of magic?" 

The confusion on the girl's faces made all of the guys sighed.

Peace continued. "The higher the effect of your magic, the higher the magical energy you consume."

It was Lex who said something next. " And once you used up all of your magical energy, not only you're defenseless, you also can't move that freely because you're too tired too." 

Angelica's memory flashes back to that night when they were attacked by those horrid looking monsters. The way Daniella looked after she casted those consecutive spells. 

Her eyes automatically drifted to Daniella, who had her eyes narrowed. It was obvious that her mind is also on that night. And then she spoke. " Yeah, we all know that too well. " 

Vlade sensed something and moved his head towards Angelica. "What's with the gloomy atmosphere?" he's looking at Angelica but he was asking the whole group.

Their faces say everything. It's like someone has died, and it didn't end well for them. The way Maria was clutching her knife. The sad look in the corner of Lucilla's eyes. And Daniella, who was grinding her teeth.

This heavy feeling that came to Angelica is all too familiar. She felt it too, during that night and the night before. The feeling of not doing anything, of feeling helpless.

The words came out before she knew it. " Before coming here... We were attacked-" it was hard getting them out. " -by monsters we've never seen before. Living in the Ear- I mean the Normalities dimension where no monsters lived. It was new to us. " 

"Especially when you don't know you have abilities. " Maria breathed out.

It was silent for a while. Angelica didn't look up, so she guessed that the guys were in sorrow just like them.

But the sound of someone's fists changed that thought. The girls all looked up.

"A monster in the Normalities dimension?!"  Clarence was enraged. He was standing up by the time Angelica looked up. Not only that, but she can also feel the gaze of everyone in the main hall.

Lex who was sitting next to him. pat him in the back. " Clarence, calm down. You spooked the hell out of the other students." 

This was a surprise to Angelica. She sees Clarence as a calm ordered man, like Daniella. For him to be worked up like that is new to them, and strange. 

He sat down, clearly furious about this news. "Monsters don't last long in the Normalities dimension. Unlike Magicalities." 

Daniella put up an argument. " Wait but when we told this to the teachers he said. 'Both Magicalites and creatures of the fallen need magical energy to function and live properly.' How can you say 'Unlike Magicalities' " she asked. Curiosity shining in her eyes.

Just then the ring bells. At just like that the main hall was soon buzzing with the voices of the excited students. 

"Tch" 

Clarence laughed at the sight of Daniella. " Don't worry. Our next class might answer you question." 

Angelica stood up , while the others followed. Then she heard Vlade speaking. " Since we're all at the same class. Why don't we all go together?" 

She couldn't help but ask. "What's our next class?" 

Instead of Vlade, it was Clarence who answered with an evil smile. " The Arts and Rules of Magic."
