Part Three: Jealousy
Heyoo! I'm back! Sorry, I have really WEAK internet. As I promised, a new chapter! Whoohoo! I appreciate the votes and comments! Enjoy!
Marinette wanted to stretch-out, but she felt something warmly on her back and hips. Her eyes shot open, she moved her hand down, feeling a warm hand. She turned to the other side to see her face close to Adrien's. Pretty sure that her face was all red, redder than her Ladybug suit that is.
T-Too close! How do I get out of this? Marinette thought. The more she moves the more tighter Adrien clamps on her.
That when she realizes that her hand was obliviously placed on Adrien's chest. Her eyes wided as she kept silent, what do I do?! If he wakes up, I'll be dead meat! Marinette thought.
"M-Marinette.." Adrien murmured in his sleep, while Marinette's lips formed a curve as she flustered.
Is it me or... is he dreaming about ME? Marinette thought and blushed. Though, if only that blush could last long soon.
"You're-You're such a...such a.." of course, Marinette was expecting a positive comment from him. But, "You're such a butt-brain."
Assuringly, Marinette was turned off by this. She wanted to spank him in the head, but he was sleeping too peacefully and it would be rude. But does that really matter?
Adrien abruptly fluttered his eyes, his eyes shot open and so did Marinette's. Their faces were all red as tomato. "Gah, shut the-- what the?!" They freaked. It took them a minute to consider scampering away from each other, but both ended up falling off the edge of the bed.
"Plagg, what do I do?!" Adrien whispered in a flustered manner as the kwami just flew out of his blazer.
And with Marinette, who just had Tikki flying out of Marinette's purse. "Tikki, you gotta help me! What the heck happened last night?!"
"Well, I didn't knew 'cause I was sleeping." Tikki said, "just as I told you, I was groggy."
Marinette groaned quietly in regret, "why did it even turned out to be like this?" She cringed in embarrassment, covering her face with her palms. "I don't know what to do,"
"Plagg, don't just sit around there!" Adrien snapped, calling Plagg who was sitting on Marinette's drawer. "Help me! Tell me what to do in this type of situation!!"
The animal spirit just groaned, "listen, I'll be totally honest with you." He paused as Adrien badly waited for an answer. "Nah, I've got nothing."
Adrien facepalmed, "you're the worst kwami anyone could ever had!"
"And you're the worst and most pathetic miraculous holder that I ever met!" Plagg curted. "Think of an excuse, doofus!"
"Alright," Adrienette said.
Both of them bounced up in unison, unfortunately, they were madly blushing. Their intentions weren't going well. There was an awkward silence, Adrien, then broke it.
"Uhh, s-sorry about that." Adrien rubbed his nape, "I didn't mean to-- I-I didn't expect-- this-this is awkward."
Marinette folded her arms and started to stay strong, "aren't you suppose to head home, Pretty Boy?"
She squeaked in a shock, "Pretty Boy?" Adrien as well, was shocked. Once again, there was awkward silent.
"Hey, Mari. Have you seen Adri--" Abigail showed up in the trapdoor, "shoot. There you are, you little rascal! Wait, did you two..slept together?"
The duo looked away from each other, blushing. "Y-Yeah, but-but nothing unusual happened." Marinette excused.
"Yes! We're just..er, we just slept together!" Adrien said.
"Uh-huh," Abigail locked her eyes suspiciously at the two and shrugged. "Marinette, come down. Your parents are making you breakfast,"
Marinette nodded and went down, "and you, Adrien, take a shower. Here. It's seven anyway, you'll be pretty late." She tossed Adrien's clothes, bathing products and bath towel.
"H-Here?" Adrien awkwardly blushed.
"Yes, here." His sister coldly snapped, "now what ya want?! Marinette's kiss from the cheek?! Go!" She demanded before leaving.
Adrien blinked.
While Marinette came down, Leroy confronted her, grinning like an idiot from ear to ear. "What?" Snapped Marinette.
"Well, how was your night together?" Leroy wiggled his eyebrows, Marinette pushed his head aside.
"Nothing weird happened, weirdo." She passed Leroy, who then grinned.
"Weird, huh? Then, if you think nothing weird happened last night, does that mean that something happened between you and Perfect Boy that's normal to you?"
Marinette halted all red, "no! I told you nothing happened!"
"Then mind explaining why you're blushing, Pigtails?"
"Nothing! Uhh, it's nothing!" Marinette shrieked and headed to breakfast.
In the table, Marinette looked dull. "It's so nice to have your friends eat breakfast with us. Right Marinette, dear?" Sabine asked.
Marinette remorsefully grimaced, "yes, mom."
"Abigail, Mon Chéri. Hand over the syrup, please," Leroy munched.
Abigail slammed her hand lightly on the desk, he's just lucky that the adults were or else the table would've jumped! While honing at Leroy with gleaming blue eyes. She wanted to command Roy to do something humiliating, but Marinette's parents were there.
"Ohh, Mon Chéri, huh?" Sabine smiled sweetly, "say, are you two dating?"
"Mom!" Marinette shrieked, humiliated that her mom was too playful.
"Tch, as if." Abigail muttered, but blushed lightly, looking away.
"N-No way," Leroy stammered, blushing as well.
"Marinette, aren't you getting ready for school? Where's your backpack?" Tom queried.
"Oh geez! I left it upstairs!!" Marinette freaked as she sat up, making her way back up.
Abigail opened an eye as she intended to bite her pancake, with Leroy giving her the face of mixed emotions; fear, supiciousness, curiousity, confusion and more. Abigail just proudly shrugs and lets Marinette be. Marinette opened the trapdoor, grabbing her bag and hearing someone in the bathroom.
She trembled as she walked to the bathroom leisurely, "uhh," once she opened the door. It revealed Adrien in his clothes, without putting on his gel, he looked straightly like Chat Noir.
Although, despite of Marinette blushing hard. Adrien gave her a glare, "would you hurry up and shut the door?"
So she did, slamming the door and leaning her back against the door. She freaked from the bottom of her heart, "why does this keep happening to me?" She mumbled to herself.
Tikki appeared, "Marinette, the situation wasn't that humiliating. You just saw him without his usual hair as Adrien, what's the matter with that?"
"I just..I feel so weird!" Marinette freaked, "I know that it's just nothing personal, but I just feel weird."
"Let's try not get into panicking mode and head straight on with school, 'kay?" She winked.
Marinette recovered, still trembling. She slinged her backpack over her shoulder and walked towards the trapdoor, being stopped by the bathroom door busting open.
Adrien walked out of it, with his hair usual as Adrien. They locked each other's glances, "well? Shall we head on with it?"
Marinette awkwardly nodded and scurriedly came down together. Tom and Sabine were in the kitchen while Abigail and Leroy were expecting them to come down.
"What took you guys so long?" Abigail raised a brow as Leroy wiggles his eyebrows at the two.
She cleared her throat and retorted, "nothing. Nothing happened," she passed on with Abigail, leaving first with her.
Adrien was stuck with Leroy as they followed behind the girls from a mile away. "Well?" Roy playfully smirked.
"Well what?" Adrien snapped a glare.
"What happened between you and Pigtails last night?" Roy wiggled his eyebrows as he placed an arm across Adrien's shoulder.
Adrien pushed his head away, "nothing was between us. Geesh, if you're a guardian, then fix yourself!"
He passed ahead of Roy who rolled his eyes and just followed behind.

By the time the trio got into class, it was nice that they were early. Adrien and Marinette walked in with Alya and Nino's eyes locking up yo them, Sabrina's and Chloe's were too.
As soon as Marinette sat down, Alya swooped in. "Mind telling me why you and Adrien walked in?" She wiggled her brows playfully.
"Just say you mention, when do you ever quit?" Marinette snapped. "What's gotten into you? I thought you hate that guy as much as I do,"
"Yeah, except the part with last time."
Rolling her eyes, she groaned. "From the last time, Alya. WE ARE NOT DATING!!"
Marinette halted, everyone's eyes locked into her's. Even Adrien's. And Including a shock Ms. Bustier who just walked in, Marinette blushed in embarrassment. "Uhm, uhh.. s-sorry...?"
Leroy who just sat behind Abigail and Lila's seat, with his eyes glowing red. "That girl should sincerely close her mouth often,"
In front of him, was Abigail. Beside him were Ivan and Nathanael, they were lucky that Ivan fitted in with the table.
"Really? I find her cute," Nathanael complimented, staring at Marinette dreamily.
Leroy gazed at him suspciously, with Dream Boy in the way, Pigtails and Perfect Boy's destiny won't come to pass. He thought. His eyes distorted back to normal before talking to Nathan, "yo, Dream Boy--"
"Actually, my name is Nathanael."
"Uh-huh, well, you've got feelings for Pigtails?" Roy asked, his impression was serious, not the way he acted around Adrien.
"Uhh, yeah.." Nathanael rubbed his nape, "even though I formerly had a crush on Ladybug after Marinette tricked me, I sorta..still like Marie,"
AND here comes a rival, Roy thought. "Would you.. Would you.. Would you date Pigtails by any chance?"
"Of course, if she says 'yes' though." After that, Leroy stayed silent and brought out his phone.
MESSAGE
To Mon Chéri:
Leroy Pierre: The prophecy's instigating to be far away now.
Abigail's phone beeped, she snagged out her phone and hid it under her desk.
NEW MESSAGE
From Leroy The Worst:
Leroy The Worst: The prophecy's instigating to be far away now.
Abigail Agreste: what? Really? How?
Leroy The Worst: Dream Boy's got a crush on Pigtails.
Abigail Agreste: Dream Boy?
Leroy The Worst: behind you, Chéri.
Abigail glanced behind to see Nathan staring at Marinette dreamily.
To Leroy The Worst:
Abigail Agreste: yup, that sounds about right.
Leroy The Worst: what do we do, Mon Chéri?
Abigail Agreste: well, I suggest we just..let him be. I mean, we can't hurt his feelings or else he might get akumatized.
Leroy The Worst: so that's it? We just let this Dream Boy be?
Abigail Agreste: oh, come on, Roy. Get serious, would you think that Marinette would allow Nathan dating her? Are you serious? She, as Ladybug, knows her priority very well. I don't think that she could leave to enough harm with that.
Leroy ended the message, "I guess you're right.." he mumbled to himself.
He glanced at Nathan, I just don't like the way Dream Boy acts.
Marinette was carefully listening to the teacher, not potentially caring about anyone. But her eyes keep trailing on Adrien, once she remembered what happened this morning. Her eyes wided as she blushed lightly.
Alya was stifling a laugh quietly, while she writes on her notes.
Abigail hid her phone on her sling bag, she didn't bother talking to Lila Rossi who was beside her. She knew that she'd be another Chloe.
Adrien was busy tapping his pen on the desk constantly while resting his chin on his heel.
Nino badly wanted to listen into his beats, but the teacher would honestly confiscate them.
"Alright, students! 'Charlotte's Web' by E.B. White report had been decided as a group project. You must make a group presentation together. I'll choose three members for each group," Ms. Bustier said. She started christening names, announcing the members.
Marinette didn't intend to listen of whoever has to be on the group, she'll be alright with any student in her group, just not...Chloe or Lila, I guess.
"And the last group will be Nathanael, Marinette and...Adrien," her eyes wided, what?
Adrien stopped playing or should I say, tapping his pen on his desk and looked up. What?
"You may proceed to your groups and decide your plans." Ms. Bustier proclaimed.
Adrien walked up to Marinette but before he could talk to her, someone scooped in. "Hey Marinette! I guess..I'll enjoy working with you,"
"Thanks, Nathan!" Marinette smiled, "me too! I like you too!"
Adrien stood there in a shock, what is this feeling? He questioned himself.
Upon spotting him on the corner of her eye, Marinette glanced at Adrien. "Uhh, hey Adri...en. Wanna join along?"
Adrien gave his future wife a fake smile, it was obviously fake. But Marinette just smiled back.
"Like to would I, sure-- I mean, sure, to like I would! I... I mean, sure." He cleared his throat to stop stuttering, "I would like to."
"Okay..." Marinette stared at him in the strangest way.
But Adrien just smiles, Nathan grows jealous.
They sat on the table, Adrien sits beside Marinette, while Nathan does the same thing on the other side. Marinette, who was right in the amidst of the two people. She didn't have much space, so she'd freaked out.
"Uhm, I would really appreciate it if you guys would just..move aside?" She tried to sound nice and calm so that the two wouldn't get offended.
Both of them blushed and gave Marinette space.
"Ahh, much better." She sighed in relaxation, "so.. let's begin!"
°•○°•●°•○°•●°•○°
They were at the library, discussing of what they'll be presenting. Unfortunately, Nathan was too busy day-dreaming about Marinette. Adrien, on the other hand, was reading a random book.
Marinette's face turned all red, with smoke coming out of her orifices. "Would you guys listen?!" Her voice could've been louder if they weren't in the library. And she doesn't want people staring at her again if she yells too loud.
Adrien numbly looked up, emotionless and had a strong impression. Nathan just woke up from his land of Marinette.
"We are listening." Adrien snapped. "Your boring speech is just stupid,"
"This is why I don't like you." Marinette gave him a glare, while Adrien wiggled his eyebrows playfully.
Nathan didn't really knew what was going on, he just..stared at them.
"Do you think they'll be fine in their honeymoon?" Abigail smirked as she watched Adrienette argue from a mile away from their table. "They look like a spouse couple already."
"I doubted that," Leroy shrugged. "It's hard to tell if they're enemies or lovers."
"Okay, I have no..idea what you guys are talking about. So I'll just..try to ignore you," Lila said, looking away.
"Yo, Rossi. Shut the crap up and read some books," Leroy curtly snapped with his eyes red as he pressed his chest against the chair's backrest in a disrespectful manner with his limbs rested on the backrest's handle.
"Oh, Leroy. Don't you ever have pity on me?" Lila pouted sadly, with sad aura around her.
"No." Leroy ruthlessly snapped.
While Abigail was soothing on Adrienette, "haha, 'Miraculous Duo' is a title for an immense married couple. Although, calling them 'husband and wife' won't be plausible, they haven't even gone on a single date. It's like a joke."
Then Adrienette appeared behind her with such portly abundant of menacing aura surrounding them, Abigail glanced behind with a sweet smile. "Wow, that aura. Have you been quite offended that I'm doubting the prophecy out of hostility?"
Adrienette then chased Abigail around the library, invading the silence. "Aren't you gonna help her? I mean, you do seem quite close friends.." Lila asked, referring to Abigail and Leroy.
"Nah, she can handle it." Roy said, "she's a tough case. She can manage pretty well,"
"Guys, guys. What ya say we go for a chill and just talk this through?" Nathanael calmly asked, disrupting the spouse (hehe..😆) couple.
They stopped, and fled Abigail back to her group.
Marinette sighed, "sorry, Nathan." Adrien twitched an eye when he saw his future wife clamp a hand on Nathan's shoulder. "I promise that by tommorow, everything will turn out fine."
"Th-Thanks, Marinette. I really needed that," Nathan blushed.
"And you, Agreste." Marinette, tough as a cinder block, swiveled around to face Adrien.
Unfortunately, she blushed, remembering what happened this morning. "Yes....? Marinette?" Adrien gawked.
Marinette shooked it off, "you should pay attention more!"
"Wha da ya mean? I'm listening to you right now, doesn't it look like I'm paying attention?"
"You know, if you don't wanna be groupmates with me, then why don't you screw over and find a new group?" Marinette playfully smirked.
Adrien blinked as he saw Chloe wink at him, he gulped. "Yeah, no thank you. Pretty sure that I'm fine with you,"
"Good. Let's get on with working then," they shooked hands.
Later then, it was time for the others to head home, but Marinette's group wouldn't leave 'till they finish. Nathan yawned, Marinette noticed.
"Hey, Nathan. If you wanna go home, you can. Adrien and I can handle this," Marinette smiled.
Nathan rubbed his eyes, "no.. no..thanks, I can manage."
Why can't this guy just leave her already? Adrien thought. Wait, what?
"Okay, Nathan. Hand me some pens and papers, you grab pencils and art materials, I need you to draw on a panel poster." Marinette glanced at Adrien, "Agreste. Search for the book,"
"You count on me, Milady!" Adrien abruptly saluted. Marinette was shocked, he never showed that side of him ever since they got into a fight as LadyNoir.
Adrien dashed away, without a single word. Nathan raised a brow, since when has he ever called her 'Milady'?
Marinette shooked it off and started to prepare for the presentation, what she's going to say and present. Adrien, on the other hand, was behind some book shelves, covering his whole face with his palms. In deep regret, he muttered words in the shadows of remorse. He felt weird about what he said.
Plagg appeared and rolled his eyes, "you know, you shouldn't be a baby about this. You usually don't care for that bugging girl,"
"I don't know..I don't know, I don't, know what I just said. Why did I say it?" Adrien freaked inside.
Plagg sighed in boredom, "just find that book already so we can go home!"
"Thanks, Nathan." Marinette's giggle floated above the shelves while Adrien bitted the book with jealousy.
Heyoo! I really appreciate your votes, guys. I hope you like it though, on the next chapter, there'll be more comedy! Haha, I LOVE ADRIENETTE!
