Ayame and her allies, including the now-repentant Reiko and a few new faces met along the way, set out to locate the Death Stones before Zarah and her cult can gather them. Each stone is hidden in a different realm—one in the underworld, another in the realm of dreams, and a third in a lost city deep beneath the ocean. The retrieval of each stone brings increasingly difficult challenges, from battles against ancient spirits to navigating deadly traps left by forgotten civilizations.

During their quest, Ayame begins to realize that the stones themselves are remnants of her soul, fragments left behind from her countless rebirths. As she collects them, her power grows, but so does her vulnerability to the dark forces that once controlled her. She becomes aware that her connection to the Death Stones is both her greatest strength and her greatest danger.
