Part 44
The plane swooped down from the land of clouds and touched the soil of Switzerland, the abode of natural beauty.
Prachi and Ranbir were asleep in each other's embrace. It was the announcement about reaching their destination that woke them up. They looked around blearily. Soon, they composed themselves and straightened up. Getting to their feet, they made their way out of the plane.
As they walked out of airport, Prachi took a deep breath. Her excitement was almost tangible. Ranbir smiled at her excitement.
"Excited?" Ranbir smiled.
"Very much. This is the first time that I have visited overseas." Prachi smiled back.
Her innocent reply and excitement made him fall even more for her. As they walked a little further, they came across a man holding a placard containing their names in bold letters.
"MKK Hotel?" Ranbir asked as he approached that man.
"Yes Sir. Mr. Ranbir Kohli and Mrs. Prachi Kohli?" The man questioned back.
"Yeah." Ranbir replied.
"Please come with me, Sir. The car is right there. I will take care of your luggage. You please go ahead." The man answered.
"Okay." Ranbir clasped Prachi's hand and moved ahead while the man took control of the trolley carrying their luggage.
As they settled down inside the car, Prachi turned to Ranbir.
"MKK Hotels? Have you already booked accommodation there?" Prachi looked at questioningly.
"We don't need to. The penthouse suit is always reserved for us." Ranbir smiled smugly.
"Why so?" Prachi stared at him, bemused.
"Because you and I own the hotel. Do you know what MKK stands for?" Ranbir raised a brown.
Prachi shook her head negatively.
"Mehra, Kohli and Khanna." Ranbir smirked.
"Really?" Prachi was taken aback.
"Really." Ranbir beamed at her surprise.
Soon, the car pulled away and they headed towards the hotel.
--------------------------------------------------------------
It took them half an hour to reach the hotel. The man led them to the glamorous foyer of the hotel. The walls were covered with cream wallpapers and adorned with landscapes by skilled artists. The reception desk on one side of the room was made of mahogany wood and on top of it, computers holding details of the hotel as well as boarders were placed. Three receptionists were working behind the desk, two female and one male. On the other side of the spacious area, was a plush leather U-shaped couch, again in the same shade of mahogany color as the reception desk. In front of it was an oval, glass table and on the side of the couch, there was a rack full of magazines and newspapers. An opaque glass door in the far end of the foyer lead to the restaurant. On the other end of the foyer was the bank of elevators leading to the upper floors.
As they moved to the reception desk, the man, who was the oldest of the three receptionists, looked up with a ready smile but as soon as recognition dawned on him, his polite smile transformed into a genuine one.
"Ranbir, how are you? First of all, let me congratulate you on your marriage. Many many congratulations. And this pretty lady must be your wife?" The man grinned.
"Hello, Rajinder uncle. Thank you. Yes. This is Prachi, my wife and Prachi, this is Rajinder Malhotra, he is like a member of our extended family." Ranbir introduced Prachi and Rajinder.
Prachi greeted the elderly man and he greeted her back.
"Ranbir, here is the key card for your suite. Wish you both a lovely stay." Rajinder smiled.
"Thank you, uncle." Prachi smiled back.
Together, Pranbir headed towards the bank of elevator while Rajinder called a bell boy to take their luggage to their suite.
--------------------------------------------------------------
As Ranbir opened the door to the penthouse suite using his key card, Prachi sauntered into the room before him. She was stunned to see the simple yet elegant beauty of the room.
As they sauntered into the room, they stepped into an elegantly designed living room. The walls were covered with cream coloured wallpapers and the walls of the room were adorned with landscapes like the foyer. A plush leather U shaped couch in dark black accompanied by a glass coffee table and a smart led tv on the wall opposite to it adorned the room. On one end of the room were a couple of doors leading to the couple of bedrooms beyond. On the right end of the room, another door led to the balcony beyond.
Ranbir then led her to the bedrooms. Both were identical with walls covered with light brownish wallpapers, walls opposite to the door adorned with floor to ceiling glass windows, a king size bed with white spreads and cushions in the center of the room and a chaise in front of the windows, four door colossal wardrobe at another end of the room beside another door that led to the washroom.
Ranbir and Prachi sauntered out of the bedroom and walked over to the door leading to the balcony. The balcony was spacious and offered a scenic view of the area around the hotel.
"Do you like it?" Ranbir smiled.
"I love it." Prachi smiled back.
"Go and freshen up. I will do the same in the other room." Ranbir suggested.
"Okay." Prachi agreed.
As they meandered into the living room, someone knocked on the door.
"Yes?" Ranbir called out.
"Sir, your luggage." Someone answered.
Ranbir walked over to the door, unlocked it and instructed the bell boy to keep the luggage in the bedroom they had chosen for themselves. The bell boy acted on the instructions. Ranbir took out some notes and handed them over to the bell boy. The bell boy took the money and saluted him. Then he left the room.
Pranbir sauntered into the room, took out their respective clothes and went to freshen up in the two adjacent washrooms.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Prachi came out of the washroom wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a milky white pullover. Her hair were left loose and wet from the shower she had just taken. She looked around the room but there was no trace of Ranbir anywhere in the bedroom.
"This guy! He is taking more time to freshen up then me." Prachi rolled her eyes and shook her head in exasperation.
Prachi sauntered out of the room and looked around. She checked the washroom of the adjacent bedroom and then the living room again. Still there was no trace of him. Now, anxiety began to creep up on her. She was about to call his cell when a light music drifted towards her from the balcony. Frowning she made her way to the balcony.
As she pushed the door open and walked into the balcony, she was stunned to see the sight that welcomed her.

All the elders had gathered in the living room and were engrossed in lighthearted chit chats over cups of coffee and tea, as per their preferences.
Disha looked at Purab who blinked his eyes assuringly. She smiled and turned to Pallavi and Pragya.
"Di, Pallavi, I wanted to talk about something important with both of you." Disha began tentatively.
"Yes, Disha. Go ahead. Why are you hesitating?" Pragya encouraged her while Pallavi nodded.
"I and Purab, we both want to ask for Mishti and Sahana's hands for Sunny and Aryan. If you all don't have any objection." Disha concluded her speech and waited with baited breath for their decisions.
For a moment, a stunned silence prevailed over the previously jovial ambience in the room. Pallavi and Pragya looked at their respective husbands who gave encouraging nods.
"Of course, we don't have any objection. I will be very happy if Sahana gets married to Aryan." Pragya smiled.
"And we will be very happy if our Mishti gets married to Sunny." Pallavi beamed.
"Thank you." Purab smiled.
"By the way, Disha, I was wondering something. Only hands will do? You won't need the entire girls for your sons?" Abhishek stared at Disha, feigning innocence.
"You are incorrigible!" Pragya swatted him on the arm and everyone burst into fits of laughter, including Abhishek.

Pranbir's suite, MMK Hotel, Switzerland
A beautiful oval glass table had been set in the center of the balcony with two pure white chairs on either side of it. A bowl filled with water with rose petals carpeting its surface was placed in the middle of the table. perfumed candles in the shape of lotus were placed over them. The table was laden with scrumptious delicacies.
Prachi's stunned gaze moved from the table to the man standing beside it with a glorious smile adorning his handsome features.
"How did you manage to do all this in such a short span of time?" Prachi was completely taken aback.
"Nothing is impossible if you have the will to do it." Ranbir smirked.
Ranbir walked over to her and took her hand in his. He escorted her to the table and pulled a chair out for her. Only after she had settled down, did he move to his own chair.
The sky had darkened already and the only source of light on and around the table was the glow of the candles floating on the water.
"So, do you like my surprise?" Ranbir raised his brows quizzically.
"I love it." Prachi beamed happily.
"I can do just about anything to see that beautiful smile." Ranbir stared at her.
"I know. You know what? I am very fortunate to get a life partner like you." Prachi smiled.
"I am the luckier one. No competition." Ranbir grinned.
He picked up a morsel of food with his spoon and extended it towards Prachi who ate it and mirrored the action.
They both fed each other amidst a lot of sweet nothings and laughter.

Next day
Ranbir was pacing to and fro restively in the living room of their suite. He, yet again, consulted his watch. It had been twenty minutes and still there was no sign of Prachi. What on earth was she getting ready for? Someone's wedding?
He was looking handsome in a white shirt accompanied by blue jacket and a pair of blue jeans. Over them, he wore a grey overcoat.
"Prachi! How long are you gonna stay in there?" Ranbir stared at the closed door impatiently.
"Five minutes." The answer came from somewhere behind the door.
"I am hearing this from the past twenty minutes!" Ranbir grumbled as he whirled around and walked to the end of the living room.
After exactly five minutes, Ranbir sighed in irritation.
"Prachi! Come on! How long will you take?" Ranbir called out without turning back.
"Oh ho! You won't even let me get ready properly. I am ready now. Let's go." Prachi huffed as she sauntered out of the bedroom and into the living room.
"How much time you women take to get read..." Ranbir trailed away as he whirled around and encountered a mesmerising beauty walking down the living room towards him.
He was mesmerized by her beauty. It was as if a spell was cast over him. He simply went speechless. Prachi was looking absolutely gorgeous in white shirt, grey jeans, pink overcoat, pink cap and white sneakers.
Prachi smirked at his mesmerized gaze and walking over to him, clicked her fingers in front of his eyes.
"Now, you are not getting late?" Prachi raised her brows.
"Who cares about getting late? I can keep looking at you forever. I always wonder how can anyone be this beautiful." Ranbir whispered.
"And I always wonder how can anyone be this handsome." Prachi smiled shyly.
"Really! Then..." Ranbir grabbed her petite waist and pulled her closer.
He leaned in while Prachi closed her eyes in anticipation. Their lips touched and a firework was set in action. Their mutual passion took over them and the kiss transformed from a gentle one to a passionate one. His tongue entered her mouth and searched every nook and crevice of her mouth. Lost in each other, they became oblivious of their surrounding.
Several minutes ticked by and finally they came off for much needed air. Panting slightly, they touched their forehead to each other.
"I love you." Prachi mumbled.
"I love you too." Ranbir replied.

Mehra and Kohli Mansion, India
Sunny and Aryan sauntered into the living room, engrossed in some discussion. The elders had gathered there already. Sahana and Mishti descended down the stairs, busy in chit chat and gossips.
"The children have come. Now, why don't you ask them their opinions about the alliances?" Daljeet suggested.
"I will ask them. Guys and gals come here for a moment." Abhishek called out.
Aryan, Sahana, Sunny and Mishti gathered around the couch.
"What happened, Chucks?" Sunny frowned slightly.
"We have talked about your and Mishti's and Aryan and Sahana's wedding. Now, you four tell me if you have any objection." Abhishek grinned.
For a moment, all four of them were baffled at the sudden news. After the initial surprise, joy washed over Aryan and Sahana while Mishti and Sunny simply looked at each other.
"We have no objection." Aryan was the first to reply.
"Oh! We! That means we didn't have to do matchmaking in your case. You have already done the needful." Abhishek chuckled while the others laughed, making Aryan and Sahana turned red.
After the laughter subsided, everyone turned towards Sunny and Mishti.
"I don't have any special one in my life. So, I am okay with your decision." Sunny shrugged.
"The same goes for me." Mishti smiled.
"Great! We will ask the priest to arrange the wedding date for you four." Pallavi rubbed her hands excitedly.

Prachi and Ranbir strolled through the streets of the beautiful country. They ate lunch in a roadside cafeteria and relished each and every moment. Then Ranbir took Prachi to a shop famous for chocolates.
Prachi looked around her with all the excitement of a child. A blissful smile lit her features from within.
"Wow! I love chocolates!" Prachi giggled.
"I know. That's why brought you here. Let's go and taste and buy chocolates." Ranbir smiled.
They both checked out cases of chocolates in display and tasted various samples.
Ranbir turned to Prachi and saw a bit of chocolate in the corner of her lips. He gently wiped it off with his thumb. Prachi looked up into his eyes and they both lost themselves in each other's eyes. They were unaware that the shopkeeper was looking at them with a smile. He faked a cough, bringing them out of their trance.
"Newly married?" The shopkeeper inquired.
"Yes. How do you know?" Ranbir looked at him in surprise.
"Because that was the look I used to share with my beloved wife when we were newly married. Our love is still intact, even after twenty years of marriage. I wish you two also share the same love for all the years to come." The shopkeeper smiled at the couple.
"Thank you." Prachi smiled shyly.
Ranbir and Prachi brought chocolates for themselves and also for others. They left the shop, holding each other's hands.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ranbir and Prachi went to an amusement park. Prachi was looking around excitedly. Her childish excitement brought a sweet smile on Ranbir's face. He let her lead him wherever she wanted to but never left her hand which was clasped in his tight grip.
"Ranbir! See, ice cream. Let's have some." Prachi demanded.
"Ice cream! In this chilly weather? No way." Ranbir shook his head.
"Yes way. Nothing will happen to me. Please." Prachi entreated making a puppy face.
How could Ranbir refuse her anything if she would make such an adorable face and an equally adorable entreaty? Hence, predictably, he agreed. They walked over to the seller and brought one chocolate and one strawberry icecream. They relished their icecreams and made their way to the rides.
As Prachi came across a water ride, she stopped abruptly, making Ranbir stop too. She looked at Ranbir gleefully. Ranbir instantly grasped that look and shook his head in negation. Prachi nodded in affirmation.
"Prachi! You will catch cold!" Ranbir exclaimed exasperatedly.
"Oh come on, Ranbir! I am not a kid. Nothing will happen. Let's go." Prachi grabbed his arm with both hands and dragged him away.
They enjoyed themselves to the fullest in various rides which included not one but three water rides. After going through the entire park, they returned to their suite in the evening.
As soon as Ranbir opened the door and they entered the suite, Prachi sneezed loudly, making Ranbir turn to her with a see-what-happened-now look.
Phew! Let's leave it here. Hope you all like it. Twist in next part.
