Lanton POV

The next morning I got ready, wore my uniform and combed my hair neatly. I had black curly short hair but not that short maybe 10cm long. I ran downstairs and we were running out of time. As always I forgot something in my room. I ran upstairs and took my pencil case. I grabbed an apple in the fridge and mom had already eaten but I couldn't eat because I was so late. I ran outside and mom was already out of the gate hooting for me. We finally arrived at school with mom giving me a thousand lectures of punctuality. Yea, that's my mom for you.

We had assembly and it was so boring. I hated assembly ever since I started going to school. It was the worst part of school . Finally it was over and we went to the classroom. All the girls in my class wanted to befriend me. Some would even give me sweets and bracelets but I would turn them down. The only friend I wanted was Shennie, I had no time whatsoever for the rest. Shennie was just unique, everything about her is out of this world. She was broad-minded and elegant. Girls like her are a rare type. She was just a precious pearl. We had our lessons and the siren for break time rang. We went to the DH and I was so happy that I was going to see Shennie.

We found them sitting at their usual spot. I must say that their spot was becoming mine and Wilson's spot too. Funny! When we were going there one of the girls blocked our way. Ok, wtf is this drama now?

Her: Hy I am Debra. (She said extending her hand for a hand shake. She was looking at me with a minimal eye contact.)

Me: Hie. (I shook her hand. What's with this girl? She was blushing. MXM)

Her: Do you mind. (She pointed at an empty seat next to where she was sitting.)

Me: I mind, we already have seats don't worry. (I said with half-closed eyes.)

Her: Please, Willy please. (She said pouting her lips at Wilson. Oh so now Wilson is Willy MXM this girl is annoying me now.)

Wilson: I once told you it's Wilson.W-I-L-S-O-N. (He spelled his name with a vein pulsing in his neck. So I'm not the only one who's angry with this. I mean I should be talking with Shennie now, not wasting my time with these 2 cents girls.)

Me: Can we go now. (I said giving her a blank stare.)

Her: No! You will eat with us today, right girls? (She said to her crew.)

Them: Yes!

Voice: What's wrong here. (It was Shennie. I know her voice so well. Now these girls are going to get a piece from her. Why don't they just listen to her?.)

Wilson and I turned around just to find the angry birds in front of us, ready to attack. Shennie was pressing her lips firmly together, on her left Violet was grinding her teeth and she had bulging eyes. No! This looks like we are going to have World War 3 itself. Wilson and I just looked at each other and we knew that we had to stop whatever that was about to happen.

Me: It's nothing serious girls, let's go. (I said grabbing Shennie's hand attempting to leave but she stood still.)

Shennie: You know what, talking to you mooncalves is of no use. I will show you that actions speaks louder than words. Just wait and see. (She said giving Debra an icy stare.)

Violet: And next time you try to force any of our friends to do anything. I swear on my grandma's grave, you won't like the other side of me!! I won't let you girls do whatever you want at this school and live to tell the tale. And, just think of it, if I were to report you on what you have been up to. Putting make up on your boring faces way back home. (She said with a downturned lip.)

Shennie: And you know the rules. No make up in school uniforms, whether you are on your way back home or anywhere. As long as you are still in the school uniform, strictly no make up. (They gave them a mocking smile and Debra was just blinking speechless.)

Violet: Just pull this act of yours again and we will be your worst nightmare. (Wow, these girls can be really something. I don't blame them, these mean girls are too much and I think that by what just happened they will never do it again or even come near me or Wil.)

Shennie: Stay away from Lenti and we won't tell on you get that. I hope you are wise enough to get this into your thick heads. (She rolled her eyes and we walked to our spot.)

The whole DH was silent while all this was taking place and after Shennie's last words everyone just clapped their hands in approval of what just happened. Debra and her crew were totally embarrassed they just walked out of the DH with shame written all over their faces. We then set down and we still had 5 minutes till the break is over. We ate quickly over a little conversation about what just happened. Eventually, the siren rang then we went to our classes. Really, (I thought rolling my eyes) did that Debra girl have to ruin our lunch. Anyways I will see Shennie after school and luckily my mom have books to mark again. I will take that as an advantage.

It was that time of the day I was now escorting Shennie to her father's company. This was my favourite moment.

Me: My Mike Tyson!! (We both laughed.)

Shennie: How could they force you to eat with them as if they are your friends? Those girls are hilarious I must say . (She said clicking her tongue.)

Me: What if I tell you I want to be their friend?? (I said raising my right eyebrow.)

Shennie: You can go. (She said so relaxed. MXM she knows I'm joking, I had to look more serious.)

Me: Oh really, thank you so much. I really wanted to be their friend but I was worried about you. (I said so seriously and her face changed a bit but she was not giving in, so cute! She trust's me so much.)

Shennie: Stop joking with such things now let's talk about something else.

Me: It's no joke at all I really want to be Debra's friend. What if one day you don't come to school then I will need her. (She was now buying the story, her face was all red and then she stopped me to look at her.)

Shennie: So you can't go one day without a friend huh?? You want me to share our friendship!! You are nuts Lenti! You hear me, Nuts Lenti?? (Yoh, she was so furious now and glaring. But I wanted to keep this show playing.)

Me: But you said it's fine earlier.

Shennie: Cause I thought you were joking!! (She raised her voice at me, for the first time.)

Me: I was not joking, I really want Debra as a friend. I want to also escort her and eat with her in the DH. (I had pressed all the wrong buttons now.)

Shennie: Lenti!!! Ok I won't shout at you I won't force you either, I don't want to stoop to their level. If you want to be Debra's friend I won't stop you but first I will cut all ties with you. (Darn it! I didn't think it could get to this.)

Me: I was joking Shennie. Im sorry. (No, I can't lose her. Not now and never.)

Shennie: Say that again.

Me: I don't want Debra to be my friend or any girl for that matter. You are the only girl I want as a friend. I won't joke like that again, I promise. (I said so sincerely and then bursted out , laughing at me. Did she just fool me?)

Shennie: I knew that you were joking Lenti, I just wanted you to admit it. I just beat you at your own game. (She laughed at me and I knew that she will always remind me of this day.)

Me: Ok, ok you won Shennie. I give up. (I raised my hands up in the air.)

Shennie: You can never fool me, just get that in your head. (She laughed again and I ended up joining her. You see why she is so precious she knows me too well. And that's someone I want as a friend. Someone who understands me in and out.)

We talked a bit and then I went back. I found mom getting in the car and I joined her. We then went home. What a day I just had. I just wish I had came to Maranatha earlier, but better late than never!

Shennie POV

Many years has passed now and Lenti and I were in Paris. We were at our honeymoon. I can't believe how years passed so quickly. It was years of joy after joy. We were so much in love. We went at the top of the Eiffle tower. Paris, the city of love. I always dreamt of coming here and now here I was with the love of my life. We had a lock engraved Shennie & Lenti Forever and we locked it at the Eiffle Tower. We took the keys and we both threw them in the lake. We had a picnic and it was so romantic. We felt the breeze of Paris right on our skin and we looked at each other straight into the eyes. I felt Lenti's breathe so close to mine and our hearts were pounding so fast we then k.......

Voice: Pickle!! (Tapping my shoulder.) Hey baby!! (I heard my mom's voice. How come she is in Paris too??.)

Mom: Cherry!! Help!! (What! Cherry is also here. But it's my honeymoon.)

Cherry: What happened mom! (She was breathing heavily.)

Mom: Ar-ar-Arti! My Pickle! (She said to Cherry.) She has been like this for the past 5 minutes. This is how she was when she was kidnapped Cherry! (She sobbed.)

Cherry: No! Arti!! Snap out of it. (She shook me but I didn't know what to do at all. Im in Paris with Lenti right?? )

I felt water being splashed on my face and then I snapped out of it. What! I am home in my room sitting on the bed holding my homework book. I'm not married and I am still young. I am still in grade 7. OMG, was I day dreaming. It all felt so real, the Eiffle tower everything it felt so real.

Me: What, what happened. (I said with an unfocused gaze.)

Mom: Don't ever scare us like that again. (She said hugging me and kissing my face all over.)

Cherry: Oh, Arti. (She said with a breaking voice hugging me so tightly. We quarrel a lot with Cherry but I am the only thing in this world she loves the most and I am the last thing she wants to lose and vice versa.)

Me: Im ok guys. I was just thinking about my school project and you guys didn't allow me to have time to myself. (I said laughing and they laughed along with me.)

I hope that my day dream comes true one day. We looked so happy. Silly me, Lenti is just my friend and nothing else. Where are these dreams coming from? But I once had that the first boy you day dream getting married to will be your future husband for real. I just heard🤗. Anyways my school days are now much more great with Lenti by my side. He would escort me to dad's place and that made me very happy. Isn't he just the best?

This weekend it is going to be my parent's 20th anniversary. This year we will be surprising them both . Since they said that this year we will just have a family candle light dinner we then worked on a little something for them. They won't know what's coming in their way. So today its Friday and I am back from school. Tomorrow is the day.

Ellain is the one who video called us whining about not going to be the party of the grand celebration, when we told her what our parents had said she came up with this plan. She asked for a weekend home from her principal and he gave her the off. We will have the party at Violet's place, that's where she will be. How can a Zhloy have a candle light dinner as a celebration. Hell No!

*Anniversary Day*

My mom let me sleep until 10 since it was a weekend and I woke up on my own. I went to my bathroom and I did my morning routine. I wore my morning gown and I went downstairs. I found my mom and dad watching a movie and Cherry was no where to be found. I just knew that she must be in her room organising everything on a video call since she was a event designer. She had always dreamt of being one. I went there and I was right, Ellain was showing her the room and she was directing the workers what to do.

Me: Everything on point?

Cherry: We are getting there.

The decor was so amazing. The colours were gold and nude pink. There were a lot of flowers and there were only 3 round tables since it was only going to be our family, Violet's, Jayden's and some few friends. The Chef was already there and Vinneter (Violet's sister) was to bake the cake since she was a very good baker. She started learning baking when she was only 10 and now she is good at it.

It was now around 5pm and we had already had a plan of how we will get mom and dad to uncle's place.

Mom: Girls! We are going to do some grocery shopping for tonight.

Us: Let's go together! (We screamed in Cherry's room. We have been there since.)

Mom: Hmm ok let's go!

We ran downstairs and they were already in the car. We joined them and we went to Pick n Pay. So our plan was for uncle to call dad and say that there is an emergency at his home. Since Pick n Pay is not that far from Violet's place he will just go with us. So we paid for the grocery and after packing it in the car, dad received a call. He looked very worried and said we were going to uncle's place. Hell Yes! Our plan just worked perfectly. He drove like a lunatic to Violet's place and when they opened the door.....
