Lanton POV

I was packing my bags to catch my flight to Zimbabwe, I tried to cancel this whole thing but I was fighting a losing battle. I mean who could ever say no to the president’s son and the money they were offering. Plus I needed the millions to pay for the men who were going to help me with the whole Natas thing.  I had to be there one way or the other but all I wanted to do was to sing and sign a few autographs for my fans that’s all that I wanted. I already had too many things on my plate.

The private jet was to leave in less than an hour, yes a private jet but it was not mine but it belonged to Godwin. I met Sandy my PA at the airport and I greeted her and that’s it. I don’t usually talk to my employees that much. We boarded the jet with everyone’s eyes on me how I hate being a celebrity. “The jet will be departing soon, please buckle up your seat belts and enjoy your flight”, an air hostess said, those words were always my lalabye whenever I was flying so I just drifted to sleep.

The jet finally landed and my heart skipped a bit. I was home, my origin, my place where my soulmate is. I wasn’t prepared to meet anyone especially my NayNay, so I planned that just after the party I’ll fly back to SA immediately and first finish my business there. I hopped out of the jet and wore my sun glasses and I put on my cap. I didn’t want to draw any attention to me.

“Did you call the driver?”, I asked Sandy walking towards the exit door.
“Yes sir, he is already here sir”,  I hate the way she keeps calling me sir continuously.

We went to a fancy blue benz and hopped in. We went straight to Crown Plaza hotel and I took my room number and walked pretty fast since people were taking pictures of me and hell yes that was so annoying.  Yes I love my fans but sometimes I feel like I don’t have any privacy. I went in my room and  Sandy was still following me like a headless tail.

“Are you planning on sharing a room with me too”, I said looking at her very annoyed.

“No, no sir, I’m sorry have a good evening”, she stammered and left the room with a tail between her legs. I didn’t hate her no people, but I was just stressed she has been the best PA ever and she takes good care of me and has always been by my side through every step of the way.

I locked the door and threw myself on the bed, can this day just end. MXM!
I was slowly drifting to sleep when a notification came on my phone. It was an email from my IT guy. “I found him and I’m keeping tracks on him”, just what I wanted to hear, I just smirked reading the message. Shit is about to go down. Just then another notification came and this time it was a picture, below written Natas. Damn he surely looks scary. Even though , I am still going to do what my father failed to do. I had my plan drafted already and I wasn’t going to back out. Hell No!

The night came and I was getting ready for the grant party. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately the party was only for youths and the president himself won’t be there. It was just an after party organised by the president’s son and he was a people’s person, loved by many. He wanted his party to be extra that is why he ended up giving me a sudden invite to the party with extra millions and made me use his private jet.

The party was going to start at 6 pm and now it was only 5:30pm. The time was ticking and I still had to get ready for everything. My designer came and he chose clothes for me since I had always had bad test in clothes. I wore grey ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, a blue coat and LV blue kicks. Damn! I looked so handsome girls will be fainting tonight the hospitals will have more patients guys. I thanked the designer, he was a gay and he had good test in style. I was going to have a great entrance at 6:30pm and yes I loved the attention but not always.

The news of Lenti arriving in Zimbabwe got to me and it was music to my ears only God knows how much I wanted to see his cute face OMG is he even still cute or he is handsome now with a manish face. I only see him on his Celeb Page but that ain’t enough to judge him. I wanted to see him, does he still know that I even exist? My guts were telling me that he could never forget me, I mean he wrote and published a song for me. Oh, God that was years ago and we were still young. Could it be possible that he has truly moved on but there are no any updates about his girlfriend. Maybe he’s keeping it a secret, I mean he is a celebrity and I’m so sure that girls offer themselves to him. After all men can’t be trusted…..

“Arti!!!”, Violet snapped at me.

“Girl, when did you arrive?”, I asked hugging her and she pushed me.

“I arrived centuries ago and you were here thinking about God knows what, don’t tell me it’s about Young Vinly again!”, she said so dramatically, that is Vee for you, Drama Queen!

“Do I also do that when you thinking about your Oscar guy”, I mumbled folding my hands pouting my lips.

“No, and that is because Oscar is my man not a LLL”, she said with her lip pursing. She got the nerves.

“Don’t say LLL again Vee, you know that Lenti is my destiny not a Long Lost Lover (LLL)”, I lamented giving her a vacant stare. She knows how emotional I get when it comes to Lenti.

“Okay, I’m sorry baby, it’s just that I hate how you love Lanton I don’t want you to get broken when you find out that he has moved on with his life and you are still holding on to him like he is your world and you keep turning down good men that wants you”, she soothed me as I was on the verge of crying, I missed him so much.

“No, Vee he didn’t move on, I know it in my heart that he can’t do that to me, he keeps his promises. He actually came back here for me and I am going to that Party of Godwin tonight and you are going with me”, I said and the look she gave me was so deadly.

“Not in this life time will I ever go to that party.  Godwin’s sister is so mean and a spoiled brut. She acts as if she owns the universe and her father is God. Is it a crime that our fathers aren’t presidents too”, she shouted with red shot eyes, this friend of mine has too much drama. She hates the president’s daughter just because one day we went to a coffee shop at Varsity and it happened that Trinity was there too and she bumped into me and my coffee spilled on her blazer by mistake. She shouted at me and called me names but I didn’t mind. But hella Vee has drama for days and she poured more coffee on Trinity and we were almost taken to the police station for harassing the president’s daughter but thanks to sweet Godwin nothing like that happened. So literally they have been in bad books since then. Trinity had gone too far but she didn’t deserve another coffee on her nice blazers, maybe I’m too cool. But I mean our fathers are also rich as the president and we also attend the same Varsity that the president’s son and daughter learn at so we meet their standards perfectly.

“Please Vee do this for me, my Senorita', my love, my baby, my only best friend, my Punchu…..”, I had a smirk on my face as I was saying this I knew her greatest weakness and that is me! I saw a smile forming on the corners of her lips I just hit the right buttons!

“Okay Miss Manipulator we are going to rock the party!”, she screamed and I joined her crazy ass. Since we learn at the same Varsity with Godwin we were all invited so I just took advantage.

We got ready for the party and we were running late since Crown Plaza was a little too far from where we were. Vee  wore her orange body hugging dress which was a boob tube, she was on fire and she always wore bright colours she says she loves the attention she gets since she’ll be the blooming flower, can you believe it. As for me I wore my blue tight ripped jeans, a white see through crop top, a denim blue jacket and finally my LV white kicks.

“Girl, We looking so hot!”, she screamed hugging me for dear life, how I love her priceless hugs.

We took a few snaps together, we needed to update our instagram and facebook  for goodness sake. We went straight to my baby called Mesarati. Yes that’s my car girls and its purple in colour. We hopped in my baby and off we go!

We arrived at the hotel at 6:15pm, we are not that late though. We had a grant entrance everybody was looking at us with those wow looks and yes we stole the green light for the Trinity girl who was wearing a pink floral dress which showed all her flat butt and small boobs, shame her designer must be struck with lightning guys. There were only rich people in here, the minister’s son was here and many other important people. We started making conversations with people and Vee was mad at Oscar because he didn’t tell her that he was going to come to this party so I left them arguing, they argue a lot and I never get used to it. I went to congratulate Godwin, damn he looked handsome! I also went to congratulate Trinity and she just gave me that fake smile. It was okay with me, I don’t usually hold grudges.

I went to other people and yes I was a people’s person so everyone likes my company except for a few jealous freaks and I don’t care at all. The place was so nice let me take this moment to compliment this hotel people, it was heaven itself. Everything was just so neat and the décor was something out of this world, it was a great party for a great person, oh did I just say that Godwin is great? Forget it!
An announcement was made for everyone to take their seats and God save me from a heart attack! Lenti walked there looking all sheds of handsome. Oh my world, we were also wearing the same colour and same brand shoes. What a coincidence! He looked so good and there was a girl on his side, could it be his girlfriend, oh, Lord let it not be her. I ignored it and minded my Lenti there going to the stage. Everyone was cheering for him and I felt so emotional, after so long I finally see my Lanton.

“Thank you for having me here and a Big Congratulations to our intelligent guy here”, he said looking at Godwin. Oh, how I wish I could just shout that I’m right here!

“Let’s first sing the congrats song!”, everyone cheered and Trinity went to stand next to Lenti smiling from corner to corner and people sang the damn song, I didn’t even concentrate on the song I was just giving Trinity a dead stare, I mean what gave her the rights to stand next to Lenti? I was getting frustrated but I had to hold my horses.

He started singing his album songs and it was out of this world, people were saved food and all I wanted was to talk with Lenti. After a whole hour Lenti finally bid well fare. People screamed wanting more of songs but as for me I just wanted him to leave that stage and I would run to talk to him.

“Another one! Another please!”, people screamed and hella I was pissed where on earth is Vee and Oscar they are not in sight.

“Okay, guys I am going to sing the last song which was my first song I sang back in my days”, he gushed and I just wondered if that first song is “I MISS YOU”, the one he sang for me guys!

“OK, (clearing his throat) 
  This song is a dedication to my bae Shennie
   I’m sorry babe I know I did you wrong
I did a lot of things, things that I fucked up

He sang the song melting my heart and breaking and making it into a million pieces, tears just streamed down my cheeks and every girl had a disappointing look on their faces espeacially Trinity, I don’t know why. I just sobbed sitting my butt down and I just felt someone touching my shoulder.

“Babes”, it was Vee who was looking at me with a puffy face.

“He, he, he”, I tried to talk but hiccups took over and I just turned to a cry baby he still remembers.

He finally finished and hella everyone had questions for that song since they never knew it, it was never on his albums since I told him not to publish it out of school.

“Seems like the hot bachelor in the city is not single after all”, the MC said looking at Lenti.

“Oh, no it’s not like that, I wrote it years ago. It’s in the past I just felt like singing it”, he chuckled and people screamed especially girls and Trinity stood up and went to the stage.

“Hey guys, it’s just a song of long ago and it’s in the past now as Young Vinly said, lets enjoy the party”, she said and kissed Lenti’s cheek smiling like crazy. Her words cut me deep and Lenti on the other side just made it clear that it was all in the past, I am the past. Oh, Lord how silly I am. The people who were sitting with me on the same table just looked at me as if I’m crazy and I just ran out of the hotel.
I was going crazy, Vee ran after me and I kept on running till something hit me so hard and I fell on the road and it was lights out for me.
