Shennie POV

The days has passed by so fast. I can't believe that today it's my last day with my Lenti. I don't know when I'll see him, but I'm leaving everything in the hands of destiny. I never thought that separating with him again would be this painful. He has tried everything to make our last days the best days of our lives. I really appreciate his effort even thought he doesn't want me to thank him, my heart will always thank him for everything. Today was going to be our last day. I'm not prepared for this at all.

I woke up early in the morning, fortunately today I didn't have any nightmares. I went to my bathroom, I took my purple tooth brush and brushed my teeth slowly. I was thinking about Lenti while I was doing everything. I removed my night gown and I prepared a bath for myself. The water geyser was already on, I just opened the tap and filled in the tub. I went slowly into the water. It was very warm, I can stay in here forever if I could after all I'm hydrophobic. I poured in few drops of my favourite bubble bath, "RASPBERRY & CASSIS" a product of AVON. The fragrant was so pleasant. I bathed myself and stayed in the tub for about 30 minutes. The water was getting cold now.

I then dried myself up and I went to the dressing table in my room. I lotioned myself with Avon Skin Care. I put on my school uniform for the last time. I was going to miss it very much. I was getting all emotional now. I put hair gel on my hair and tied it into a pony tale. I was now thinking of all my Pre-school days and a tear escaped my eye. My school days were not always the best but they were part of my life. I was going to cherish these 7 years of my life forever.

Voice: What's wrong Pickle. (You already know who it is right.)

Me: Nothing. (I answered wiping away the tear that was on my cheek.)

Mom: OK baby, don't tell me now. I just want to tell you that I love you so much, okay! (Aww, my sweet mom, I hugged her so tightly.)

Me: I love you more mom. (She hugged me so warmly.)

Mom: Now get your bag, your dad is waiting for you.

Me: OK, I'm done. Just one minute. I took my bracelet and wore it. This is how it looked...



I didn't even had time to ask him where he got it I was over the moon. It was so precious to me.💖

We went downstairs and found dad eating breakfast and I joined him.

Me: Morning daddy. (I said sitting down)

Dad: I'm good my girl how are you? (He drank his coffee.)

Me: I'm not good at all, you didn't tell me anything about Singapore. (I pouted my lips.)

Dad: Ohh, you never reminded me so I thought you didn't want to here it anymore.

Me: Hai, daddy you know very well that after Italy, Singapore is my dream country.

Dad: OK ohk, I'll tell you on our way, now eat quickly.

Me: OK dad.

I ate quickly and I was now done. We went to the car and drove off. Dad told me everything about Singapore, I really wished to go there one day. We were now at the gate.

Me: Ughh, (I breathed out noisily.)

Dad: Do you plan on going with me to work? (He said sacarstically, I didn't realize that I was still sitting in the car with the seat belt still fastened.)

Me: I just can't believe that this is my last day dad. (I said with a puffy face.)

Dad: I know it hurts Arti, but that's how life goes. You are growing up, you will always leave some things behind. You first left your mothers womb and came into the world. You are going to leave the Pri-School stage too. You ain't getting any younger. I can't also believe how much you've grown up. It feels like yesterday when I first hold you in my arms. You were so tiny and now you are grown my baby. You will get used to it soon. (I was now crying, being daddy's cry baby. He embraced me and consoled me. I was so emotional today.)

Me: Thank you daddy, you are the best.

Dad: And you are the best too, go now and be my strong girl. (He smiled at me.)

Me: OK, daddy, bye bye. (I said getting out of the car and he drove off.)

I inhaled and exhaled deeply. I was now ready for my last day. I went inside the school yard, the sight was just getting me more emotional. How I am going to miss the respect these juniors gave me. How I will miss Mrs Clot, my school mates, my classmates and especially Lenti. I walked to our class and it was so silent, what's going on? Our class was normally so noisy, I wonder why it was so silent. The door was closed too, how weird is that. I opened the door and BOOM!!

Voices: Surprise!!!! (Oh, my world I cant believe this. The whole class and Mrs Clot were in the room. There was a big purple cake on the desk, the classroom was so clean and tidy. Everyone was looking so smart and clean. I can't believe it.)

Me: OMG, (I started crying, why are people making me so emotional today? Who planned this surprise?)

Mrs Clot: Hey Shennie come and sit here. (It was a chair that was facing the whole class. I went and set there, still in shock.)

Me: Thank you so much guys. I'm still mesmerized by this, this was the last thing on my mind today. (Tears rolled down my cheeks like a flowing river.)

Violet: Don't cry now, its a moment of joy so let's enjoy our last day together people! (She screamed out loud and everyone made an agreeing noise.)

Mrs Clot: Before all that, I want to tell you that since I became a teacher, I've never came across with an amazing class like yours. It was such an honour to teach you students. I wish nothing but the best for you all. Keep up with all the good work and for those who will fail just don't give up. You are all intelligent and you will make it in high school. Thanks to Shantel and Debra who insisted on having this mini-party. It might be Shennie's party but it's all for us too so enjoy.

What! Shanty and Debra organized this, aww I thought I would never live to see the day when these two became soft hearted. I'm so happy. How sincere they were. I thought that it was Mrs' Clot's idea but I was wrong.

Me: Thank you so much guys. (I hugged Shanty and her crew so tightly and they were all giggling.)

Shantel: You are welcome, I hope you like the cake, my mom baked it and I decorated it with your favourite colour. (She said looking down.)

Me: I'm really touched by this Shanty. I wish we had solved all our differences sooner, but anyways better late than never right? (I said raising her chin.)

Shantel: Yes, we were all so stupid.

Me: Don't say that, the most important thing is that we are all together now as one big happy family. We are not just classmates but we are a family!! (Everyone clapped their hands and the boys were whistling. It was just perfect.)

Violet: Let's cut the cake!! (This one is too forward I tell you.)

Me: Yes! (Debra gave me a knife and I cut the cake. I first gave Mrs Clot a big piece of the cake to show her how grateful we were all to her, for teaching us with so much love and affection.)

Mrs Clot: Thank you, it's too biiiiig. (We all laughed, the way she said the word "big" was just fascinating.)

Me: You deserve it Mrs Clot.

We all enjoyed ourselves, there was laughter everywhere. I thought that it was going to be the worst day of my life but it turned out to be the best day. Since Mrs Clot was so close with the teacher that taught Lenti's class we all had a get together. The noise increased a bit, but it was worth it. I saw Lenti talking to some girls and I went there.

Me: Hy. (I said looking at Lenti.)

Lenti: Oh, hy Shennie. (Wtf, so I'm not his NayNay anymore. I gave him an Icy stare.)

Me: What happened to NayNay. (I said rolling my eyes.)

Lenti: Please can you excuse us. (He said smiling at those girls and dragging me away from them. MXM.)

Me: Don't drag me like that! (I yelled at him.)

Lenti: Are you out of your mind Shennie? Was that even necessary? (He said looking straight into my eyes.)

Me: No, you are the one out of your mind. You don't allow me to talk to any boys but you talk to other girls and you even smile at them! Not fair Lenti not fair

Lenti: It's not like that NayNay... (He said trying to touch my arm.)

Me: Don't call me that! (I yanked off his hand.)

Lenti: Why! Huh, don't bore me now.

Me: Oh, so I'm boring you now, those girls are making you happy right? You didn't call me your NayNay in front of them and now you want to call me that cause they ain't here. Don't make me look like a fool. If I'm boring you, then go to them okay. I don't care! (I yelled at him and turned around. I tried to take a step but he held my hand so tightly.)

Lenti: I'm sorry. (He said making me look at him.)

Me: My day was going perfectly well and you just had to ruin it. If I'm so boring then why do you love me huh! You said it yourself, you even gave me this cute bracelet. Was it all a lie! (I said showing him my left hand were I was wearing the bracelet.)

Violet: Whoa, whoa!! What's happening here. Twinny why are you crying! (She came running to me and she was so worried.)

Me: Ask him! (I said pointing at Lenti.)

Lenti: It's all just a misunderstanding Violet don't worry give me just a few minutes with her, she'd be fine.

Violet: You made my bestie cry! You won't get away with this Lenti. What did you do? (She was now being a super friend. Crazy twinny of mine.)

Lenti: Just give us a little time Violet, please. (He said with a begging but commanding voice.)

Violet: I'll be back twinny, okay? Don't shout at each other please you are creating a scene . Act like civilized people OK. (I laughed at her, civilized is a word that doesn't exist in Vee's dictionary and her saying that was just a joke.)

Violet: That, (She said pointing at my smile.) That's what I want to see today, you get me Lanton Johnson! I left her laughing, I want to come back here and see her in the same state. (She said giving Lenti a dead stare.

She left and Lenti took my hand, we went to the fish pond. All the memories were now flashing back in my mind. Is this emotional blackmail?

Me: Why did you bring me here? (I rolled my eyes.)

Lenti: I told you I don't like that NayNay. (Obvious, the rolling of my eyes.)

Me: Ok, now why are we here. You don't want to be with your girls? (I frowned.)

Lenti: Stop it now NayNay. I'm sorry okay, the were just talking to me about how they wished I had came here earlier. I don't even care about them, I just didn't want to look like a snob.

Me: Oh, so you listened to all of that and you just think I'm good with it?

Lenti: NayNay, don't do this I don't wanna fight with you today. I want to leave with good memories of us okay? Don't ever say that, my love is a joke NayNay. I don't ever want to see you cry and please don't assume things. I want you to always wait for my explanations before you assume things. (He said touching my shoulders. Oh, was I too quick to act? I didn't mean to do it but he provoked me with all the smilings he was giving those girls.)

Me: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jump into conclusions but I just couldn't take it with all the smiles you were flashing at them. I'm the only girl you must give those type of smiles. (I pouted my lips, was I being a little selfish though?)

Lenti: Ok, NayNay I get you, I was wrong and I'm sorry okay? I just want to see you smile today. Smile for your guy now. (He said raising my chin and I flashed a smile at him. I was being too childish.)

Me: Let's forget whatever happened in the last minutes and focus on the good now. (I said wiping all my tears.)

Lenti: My jelly bae. (**Jealous bae**)

He was now making fun of me. Was I jealous? Really!

We went back to the class and Violet was so happy to see me smiling. I told her everything and she said I was being jealous for no good reason. The party was now over and it was time for the assembly. Our classes were the last ones to get to the assembly hall. The whole school was there. The head boy and his vice were called to the stage and they gave up their authorities to the future head boy and vice head boy of the school. Everyone was cheering and giving applause for the new leaders now. Wilson was now fit and fine. They got off the stage and Violet and I were the next ones to go.

We gave up our authorities to Daisy and Gladys. Yes, I knew the girls pretty well. I was even the one who suggested for them to take the lead next year. The were good and intelligent, they make me think of my friendship with Vee. The are really perfect for this. The assembly went well and all the teachers said their goodbyes. Some pupils were crying and some were happy to go to high school. As for me I didn't know how I was feeling at all I had mixed emotions . I went to our school headmaster and I thanked him for everything. He was so happy and honoured.

The bell rang, it was now time to leave the school. I had to be strong. I needed courage at this stage. Violet and I slowly walked out of the school yard.

Violet: I can't believe that we are really going for good now.

Me: If only you could see my heart right now. I think it has a deep cut, it's really painful.

Violet: I think mine is broken into half twinny.

Me: Don't even mention.

We were now out and we looked at our school for the last time and walked away. We found Lenti waiting for us outside.

Lenti: Hy girls.

Us: Hello.

Lenti: So, this is it.

Me: Yea, I guess.

Violet's driver came and I hugged her. She went home, I was now left with Lenti. We took a moment of silent. Our eyes just locked together, we communicated through them.The noise that was coming from the other pupils made us snap out of it.

Me: Hmm, let's go. (It came out as a whisper.)

Lenti: Ugh, let's go.

We were so silent than usual. I couldn't believe that this was our last time walking down this path. We were almost at my dad's place and it was time for Lenti to go.

Lenti: It's always hard to say goodbye NayNay but one way or the other we have to do this.

Me: You are right. I just hope that this will not be the last time.

Lenti: Just have faith in me, I'll find you where ever you go and destiny will bring us back together, sooner or later. (He said touching my shoulders.)

Me: Ok, stay safe. I will never forget you. (I said holding my bracelet.)

Lenti: Don't ever change NayNay.

Me: Don't change too.

Lenti: I love you NayNay. (He said hugging me and I felt butterflies in my stomach.)

Me: Me too.

Lenti: You too, you what?

Me: Haha, I'm going. (I said going away.)

Lenti: One day you will say it on your own. (He said touching my hand and he let it go.)

Me: Bye:

Lenti: This isn't a good bye NayNay.

Me: Ugh, Ook, see you.

I walked away and he just stood there watching me go. I left with a heavy heart. I felt like I was leaving my world behind. It wasn't easy at all. I'm just looking forward to fate now.😔
