Shennie POV

Voice: Hey Pickle! You are going to be late for school remember you are closing today! (It was mom shouting from God knows where, I kept on sleeping.)

Mom: Pickle! Don't force me to come there and wake you up myself! (MXM, I was feeling so lazy and sad too, but I knew better than to wake up on my own.)

I took a bath and wore my school uniform. I combed my hair and I made a pony. I grabbed my bag and walked to the kitchen for breakfast. I found mom and dad eating toasted bread with cheese and orange juice. I joined them.

Me: Morning fam! (It came out a bit loud.)

Dad: Someone is in a good mood today. (He teased raising his eye brows.)

Mom: Cause she knows that she nailed the exams, right? (She gushed giving me a proud look.)

Me: Ay, mom you are already delighted before I even come with the report book. Don't be over excited, what if I failed. (I said eating my bread.)

Mom: I know that you will never fail Pickle, I gave birth to you after all. (She chortled praising herself.)

Me: So it's a blood thing. (The three of us laughed.)

We finished eating and then we brushed our teeth. Mom went to her car, dad and I went to the fortuner. The drive to school was fabulous. Dad then dropped me off at school.

Me: Bye, daddy! (I yelled waving at him.)

Him: Love you! (He said waving back.)

He drove off without me saying I love him too. Anyways he knows that I love him so much. I walked into the school yard everyone was outside, talking about random things. The junior pupils were greeting me with so much respect. I felt so fantastical. I walked to my class and found Vee curiously waiting for me.

Violet: Twinny!!! (She screamed hugging me.)

Me: Twinny!!! (I screamed hugging her back.)

Violet: Guess what! (She babbled.)

Me: Hmm, your dad agreed! (I said with a focused gaze.)

Violet: Yes, twinny. We will be together the whole holiday! (She exclaimed hugging me all over again.)

Me: No! You are lying Vee, I'm so over the moon! (I sighed jumbing up and down like a toddler who has been given an ice-cream. My holiday is going to be perfect once again.)

Violet: Me too! I can't wait to stay up all night watching barbie with you😁.

Me: And, reading horror stories when we finish watching barbie. (We bursted so loud that other students were now looking at us with an "are you crazy look" but we didn't care.)

Violet: Do you still remember that one called "Ghost in my classroom" ?

Me: No! Don't remind me please. (We both laughed again. )

We talked some more then the siren rang. We went to the assembly and did all the necessary things we had to do including the good byes and a closing prayer for the holiday till we see each other again. Everyone was dismissed and we went to our classes. Mrs Clot started to call for the people in top ten. She started from ten and decreasing. The person on the 10th place was called, 9th place, 8th place, 7th place, 6th place, 5th place and then the 4th place. We were clapping our hands for each person.

Mrs Clot: And the 3rd place goes to Raymond Martinus. (So who will be on the first place me or Violet? I just asked myself.)

We all clapped our hands as Ray stood up to take his report book. I was now nervous.

Mrs Clot: On the second place we have got tires, Clap hands for our head girl Shennie and her vise head girl Violet. (We are tires, oh thank lord there will be no jealous whatsoever. So who was going to get the first place now?)

Mrs Clot: We don't have anyone at 1st place since we have tires. All the marks and percentages on Shennie and Violet are the same, so we don't have any 1st place this term!! (I was so happy with this whole thing, Vee and I were the highest. We had scored 98% in all subjects. My mom will be so proud as always.)

Raymond: Congratulations girls, you managed to beat me this time. (He lamented.)

Us: Yea, and we will always do! (We said with so much attitude. I can't forget last time when he had higher marks than ours, he said that boys are much better than girls in everything. MXM )

Me: Proved wrong now. (I rolled my eyes.)

Violet: You should swallow your words now. Girls are no less than boys you see. (She murmured.)

Raymond: Yea, but watch out for next team I won't let you win. (He was to egoistic)

Me: We will see about that. (I said with so much convidence.)

Violet: Yea, have a great holiday. (We giggled while walking away. The hatred in Shantel's eyes and her stupid crew was so visible, but we don't give a damn about that. No one from their crew was in top 10 can you imagine how dumb they were. Anyways empty vessels makes a lot of noise. 🙄)

We went straight to the gate. On our way there every student was talking about this boy who had scored 100%. Who in his right senses scores that, that's insane. They say nobody is perfect, so how can someone not make a single mistake. Funny! We found Wilson and Lenti already waiting for us. About Wilson I don't like the types of looks he was giving me the past 3 months. I don't know if it's only my mind, but I don't like it at all.

Us: Hey!!

Them: Hey girls!

Me: Hie friend. (Refering to Lenti)

Lenti: Hey, NayNay. (OMG, what's with people always calling me by their own cooked up names. Lenti has been calling me NayNay for these past 3 months, I don't even know if it's cute or the other way around.)

Me: I'm great and you? (I rolled my eyes.)

Lenti: Hey! I told you, I don't like it when you do that. (He doesn't like it when I roll my eyes and I keep doing it just to exasperate him.)

Me: Just stop calling me NayNay and I won't do it again.

Lenti: No! You will always be my NayNay, Violet said it's cute, why can't you just admit it too. (He gushed giving me a curved smile.)

Violet: It's really cute twinny, I also want someone who can call me his NayNay. (She pouted her lips.)

Me: Wilson is here. (I said pointing at him.)

Them: No!

Violet: Not him euww. (She said with a disgusted look.)

Wilson: Not with her! Hell no.

Me: Ok, it was only a suggestion. (I said with an unfocused gaze.)

Violet: Guys can you believe these stupid rumours about someone who scored 100% on these exams. (She guffawed.)

Me: It's only rumours, there's no such at this school. We are the only toppers if Wilson is not. (I narrowed my eyes.)

Violet: People will never stop spreading gossips. (She rolled her eyes. I don't know why but the boys were quiet all this while, maybe they didn't hear it too.)

Lenti: Enough of this, show me your report. (He attempted to take take it.)

Me: No! Show me yours first.

Lenti: Ok, let's just exchange.

Me: Ok, here. (I said giving him mine and vice versa.)

I opened it.

Me: What?!😱. (I was so alarmed with what I was seeing. What the heck is this?)

Violet: What twinny! Show me. (She said as she takes it.)

Violet: Hell No! (She screamed too.)

Lenti: Huh, you are embarrassing me now. (He whispered.)

Me: You are crazy Lenti. (I said with a half opened mouth.)

Violet: 100%, it's sick!

Lenti: You are a little bit loud guys. Keep it cool.

How can a normal person get a 100%/ on an exam. I mean he is just a new comer and this will make him have more enermies or friends.

Violet: Wilson let's see yours. (She said taking Wil's report book away from him.

Me: What did he get? (I said rapidly blinking at Vee.)

Violet: Not that bad, he has 97%.

Me: We beat you this time. (I was so happy.)

Wilson: If it wasn't for the cough I had during exams I would have got 100% as well. (MXM, why do people don't want to accept defeat. Why is he blaming the cough for his defeat.)

Violet: Are we going to do this now. (She said rolling her eyes.)

Me: Just let it slide Vee. (I knew that Vee was going to tell Wil straight in his eyes to admit the truth that Lenti was better than him and we had defeated him, period. I stop, ped her cause I don't want any fights now.

Violet: Ok, let's leave it like that. Lenti you are just astounding. This is unbelievable. Congratulations. (She blabbered shaking Lenti's hand.)

Me: I'm speechless, how can a human being get 100%. It's too good to be true. Are you maybe a superhuman. (I said narrowing my eyes.)

Lenti: Don't be ridiculous. Let's go now. (He just laughed it off. I don't know why he was too cool about it, uf it was someone else they will be walking around the whole school showing their report to everyone but he was just serene about the whole thing. Wow, what a personality.)

We walked out of the gate and Wil went home. It was now Vee, Lenti and I. We talked about random things, laughing our lungs out. We finally stopped, it was now time for Lenti to go.

Lenti: I can't believe that you will be so close but I won't see you. (Looking at me with gazzled eyes.)

Me: I hate it too but we can't do anything about it. (I said with a focused gaze.)

Lenti: So this is it. (He hold my hand.)

Me: Only for a month. (I hold him back.)

Lenti: Take care ok. Hey Violet! Take good care of my NayNay. (He looked hurt and I guess I just looked the same too.)

Violet: Don't worry your NayNay is in good hands. (She said showing us her hands and we laughed.)

Lenti: Then I will worry less. (He smiled.)

Me: Your mom will shout at you again, just go now. (A tear was about to escape my eye.)

Lenti: I know you don't want me to go. (He said with a smirk on his face.)

Me: Haha, don't make this harder than it already is. (I looked down.)

Lenti: Ok NayNay, see you. Stay away from any boys ok. (He said walking away.)

Me: Bye. (I can't understand why Lenti is so jealous all of the sudden. He gives me this dead stare whenever I'm talking with any boy at school. So I'm not allowed to talk to anyone now? That's absurd! I waved at him and when he was about 20 feets away I shouted at him.)

Me: Hey! (He looked back at me with a cocked head.)

Me: Stay safe!!! (I yelled at him and he blew a kiss at me.)

Violet: Ncawww, so sweet. You guys make me emotional. (She said genuinely.)

Me: Hell No! Vee can you believe a normal person scoring a 100%, we've been working so hard for that percentage for such a long time now. Lenti is just new and he just nailed our exams just like that. (I raised and curved my eyebrows.)

Violet: Darn! It's too good to be true. (She blinked.)

Me: If he was here last year, I bet he would have been our head boy instead of that Wilson. (I rolled my eyes, I don't know why I was hating Wil all of the sudden. It must be his change if behavior towards me I guess.)

Violet: MXM! Wilson is such a bore. What's with the looks he gives you nowadays, I can't get my mind on it.(She also noticed that, atleast I'm not mad.)

Me: I thought I was the only one who noticed that. You too! (I said arching my eyebrow.)

Violet: I don't even understand why Lenti wants to hang out with him? (She clicked her tongue.)

Vee and I went to dad's place and he was glad to see us both. After he finished signing some documents we them went home.

Mom: Welcome babies! (She screamed running to us.)

Violet: Hello aunty !(She screamed back at mom.)

Mom: I'm good Violet how are you? (She said breaking the hug.)

Violet: I'm also good, dad and Vinneter sent their greetings.

Mom: How are they doing?

Violet: They are doing great aunty.

Mom: Come in, let me pour juice for you two whilst you go change your uniforms.

Me: Alright mom. Let's go. (I took her hand and we ran upstairs.)

We went in my room and it was spotless. The maid had done her job so well. We changed into jean shorts and tank tops. We then went downstairs with our reports. We were too curious to show them how shining we are.

Me: Mom! Here. (I said giving her my report. She was very delighted when she saw it.)

Mom: Yea, that's my baby! (We did a high 5 )

Me: And here is Violet's. (I said handing it over to her. Her face increased to lighten up.)

Mom: Wow! You two are tires, that's more like it, give aunty a five!! (They high fived.)

Mom was so happy with our results and when Cherry came back from Paris' place she couldn't hide the happiness on her face. She was just a proud sister. Dad's look was just amusing, he looked so astonished and he was a proud father. We sent Vee's results to his dad and he video called us with a grin on his face. Everyone was so proud of us and we were so over the moon. You know the feelings you have when everyone is so proud of you. That feeling was flowing in every vein in my body. I'm now looking forward to spending this holiday with my family and Violet.

Lanton POV

Mr Gray: And for our first place we have Lanton Johnson, he has 100%. ( Everyone including me, was totally flabbergasted. WTF, 100 What! Is thete a mistake? I didn't get anything wrong. This was so alarming, I knew that I passed but I didn't imagine getting a 100%.)

Mr Gray: He came this term but he has already took the cake. Let's give him a big and loud round of applause! (I was still in shock as I went to take my report book.)

Me: Thank you. (I said taking the report. Hell No! It was true. It was tremendous, now no one will dare to cross my path. I couldn't wait to see Shennie's reaction.)

Mr Gray: Keep it up, keep working hard. I'm proud of you Lanton, your mom must be proud too. (He said patting my shoulder.)

Me: Thank you Mr Gray. (I gushed giving him a hug out of the blue.) Oh I'm sorry I'm just too enthusiastic.

Mr Gray: I understand, go now. (He giggled at me. I'm just ecstatic.)

I went straight to my mom and screamed hugging her.

Me: Mom!!! (I screamed)

Mom: Show me, show me! (She was curious now, I gave her the report and you can't imagine how she reacted. I thought she was going to scream and jumb up and down. She was serene and a tear of joy just escaped her eye.)

Me: No! Mom, it's no time to get emotional now. (I soothed her, giving her a warm hug.)

Mom: This is.... (She sobbed. Like for real we are doing this now.)

Me: Mom, mom, it's just a 100% not a billion dollar.

Mom: This is worth more than a billion dollar you have to get this mark on the finals too Lenti okay? (She exclaimed giving me another hug. She was so proud of me.)

My mom couldn't stop flashing all smiles at me. I always want to see her like this. I finally saw my real mom, the one I had before she went to SA. The affectionate mom, the serene one and most of all my true mother. All the teachers at school were searching for me and my results went viral. I was so proud of myself, even when I was at Moleli I never had these kind of results. It was a first and I hope it was not a last.

I then found Wilson talking with Bradely at the administration. I went there and they both congratulated me but there was this aura on Wil that was very awkward. I don't know if it was jealous or what but I chose to ignore it, he was my friend anyways. We went to the gate and waited for the girls.

Shennie was intelligent so I was not surprised with her results. When Shennie saw my results she was so shocked that I was the one all the students were talking about it was not just a rumour, it was true. She had wrinkles across her forehead and her mouth was half opened. She had an "unbelievable" look. I was so happy to leave that empression on her.

I escorted her as always, and Violet was with us. I didn't want to let her go but I just had to. She is so caring and sweet. I can't wait for the holiday to finish already. Nevertheless, I was now looking forward to spending this holiday with Alvin. I really miss that soul. I can have as many friends as possible but Al will always be the best of them all. We have come a long way to just throw our friendship away just like that.
