Happy Reading Destined Soulmates!

Today is Souvik's 1st birthday, Souvik is Anika and Shivaay's son. For the celebration of his son's birthday they have held a big birthday party.

Shivaay lives in India with his family which consists of his grandmother, his wife and son. His sister in law Gauri, His brother Omkara is living in London, completing his specialisation in painting course.

Anika and Shivaay had a love marriage, just after their marriage Anika's mom died because of a heart attack. Since then Gauri has been living in Oberoi Mansion.

Gauri is 20yrs old, she is in her final year of r graduation. She is dabangg just like her character in the show, fan of Salman khan. She loves her family so much, this new member Souvik is her life.

Omkara is 24yrs old, he is not interested in business, he loves panting, he is a born artist. He loves his grandmother and brother alot.

On Sauvik's birthday party, Omkara came from London. Everyone thought he would go soon after the celebration but he surprised everyone by saying his course is completed. He was so good in his paintings that he completed this course two months before it's completion date.

After the party was ended everyone was tired, so all returned to their respective bedrooms.

Gauri was missing her mom, so she went up on the terrace. She sat on a swing looking up at the sky. Anika treats her so well that she never feels lonely, but still sometimes she misses her in her life. She doesn't miss her mom in sadness, she misses her in her happiness. 

She heard footsteps she turned and looked at Omkara who was walking towards her.

They are not close, never been, they share the most silent relationship in this world. They hardly talk and just smile at each other whenever needed.

They have been living together since 4yrs, but mostly Omkara kept himself busy in his life and be more in his bedroom or his studio.

There are some different kinds of feelings which Gauri feels towards Omkara. She had been teased by her friends with Omkara's name. Even when she thinks about it, she finds the thought cute.

He is the flawless man, she likes his hairstyles. Normally she wouldn't have liked it but on him. Everything looks perfect. Gauri doesn't know these strange feelings but they don't have any kind of relationship, not even friendship. She feels Omkara mostly tries to avoid her.

"Hi" she heard his voice and came back from her thinking world.

"Hi" she replied softly.

"If you Don't mind, can I join you?" Omkara asked nervously indicating the place next to her on swing.

"Yeah, sure" Gauri felt nervous, she simply tugged her hair behind her ear.

"How are you doing? How's college life?" This must be the longest talk in these four years they had.

"I'm good, my college life is boring and way to normal" she said being her normal self.

"That's good because being normal is the tough thing," he replied with a smile.

"How's your life?" Gauri asked him, loving the smile on his lips.

"All is good, I always wanted to be a painter. I'm glad Shivaay understands me" he replied while adjusting his hair.

He has such great hair, better than her.

"Gauri, what do you want from your life?" He asked me and looked into my eyes.

"I want to complete my studies then I want to do a job, I want to be like shivaay jiju" Gauri replied proudly.

"Hmm, that will be great. I feel sad that I can't help. I'm not interested in business at all but I should help. Bhai must feel a burden with all works" Omkara said, feeling sad.

"Hmm, if you have time then you should go to the office and help jiju by being around" Gauri replied.

"Hmm, I'm thinking of giving myself a little time in the office, since I'm here I should help and see business" he was looking so handsome in moon light.

"I think we should sleep" said Gauri feeling stupid about her thoughts regarding Omkara.

"Hmm, good night" Omkara replied

There was sadness in his words. 

They both smiled at each other and with a final "good night" Gauri walked towards her bedroom.

Next day Shivaay and Anika went to the temple leaving Souvik with Gauri. They had said they have to make some important announcement today at dinner. So they asked everyone to be their specially pointing towards Omkara.

Souvik was crying. It's been more than 3hrs they haven't returned. Gauri was trying her best to console him. Finally he slept while drinking milk.

When Gauri tried to call them, their call was unreachable. Later they got a call from the police.

Anika and Shivaay met with an accident. They died at the accident point.

It was a huge loss for their family. Gauri was in shock not knowing what to do and how to react to this. Gauri avoided all situations in her life, even when her mom died but at this point she has a responsibility. She became Souvik's full time mom. She doesn't want to believe the loss or acknowledge it.

Once all the rituals regarding their funeral were done. Omkara was feeling so messed up he didn't have any idea how he would manage all these things. He noticed a change in Gauri how introverted she became.

She hardly talks or smiles. She was always with Souvik taking care of him. Omkara was not any good in his life.

Omkara visited Gauri to meet Souvik. The moment his eye landed on that little body, who was the exact replica of his brother. He got power to fight and save business. He believed this business belonged to Souvik and he will do his best for him.

Later he talked with Gauri and reminded her it's all happened there must be some reasons, but now she has to take her responsibilities.

She looked up at him feeling confused, isn't taking care of Souvik is her only responsibility. She is doing that fine.

Reading her confusion in her eyes Omkara replied "you are taking care of your responsibility towards Souvik but what about you? Your dreams? Your career?" 

"I don't know what dreams I have anymore. There is nothing in my life other than Souvik" she replied looking at Souvik's sleeping form.

"Don't be stupid, I know you have your dreams, your life, don't be idiot and spoil it. You can't be here with him always, you need to grow in your life and have your own family just because of him don't feel yourself bounded" he said.

"Omkara, I'm never going to leave Souvik, he is my responsibility. He is my only family. And regarding my college and studies. I will complete my graduation. But what about you? Will you be able to complete your dreams with all office work" she asked him back.

"I don't know, Gauri. But I will try my best to be a good father for Souvik even if it means to leave my dreams" he replied.

That strange feeling surfaces in her heart, she wants to protect his dreams.

Gauri held his hand "Omkara, don't feel yourself alone. I'm there with you and we will face it together. Jiju has taught me something about business and office. Maybe I can help you"

Omkara hugged her, Gauri reciprocated the hug feeling the same pain.

They came together with time, Souvik acknowledged both as mummy and daddy. They had shared countless nights together, sometimes when Satvik was unwell, or when there was some important presentation, or when she needed help with her exams.

They were each other's family, they liked each other and even loved but their love was respectful. They never thought about each other in any other way than friends and family.

Society didn't like how they both were handling things without breaking, and being each other's strength. They started gossiping about their relationship and Gauri's character. 

Both weren't aware of it, or even they got to know a little bit. They ignored it feeling it's useless. Nothing mattered them more than Souvik. Once Dadi approached Gauri and made her understand how these things were affecting her dignity. In the end she realised Dadi was right in her place. Her di, mom and dad must feel bad. How society was questioning her character, her upbringing.

It's been one year, today is Gauri's 

convocation Day. Om was so proud of her for completing her graduation with distinction while handling Souvik and business all together.

Om and Souvik attend her convocation together with dadi(grandmother). They were a complete family. There was some talk running around which dadi heard.

Later at home while dinner.

"Gauri, I think now you should get married" suddenly dadi said, making everyone shocked.

"Dadi, what do you mean?" Asked confused Om.

"Om you must have not noticed but people are talking about you two and I Don't Want anyone harm Gauri's dignity" dadi said clearly.

Om and Gauri have great friendship but there is no love or anything for that they can marry each other.

Gauri simply nodded at dadi in reply. Dadi announced she will start to see guys for her wedding.

Later at night Gauri was thinking what she can do to be around Souvik without any problem and she came up with an idea.

Before she could go to Mom's room, Om was already at her door.

"Om, I was about to come to you" Gauri said.

"Hmm, I need to talk with you too," Om replied.

"Om I want a favour from you, I know it's a very big thing I'm asking from you. But please will you marry me?" Gauri asked with tears.

Om had came to ask her if she doesn't want to marry then she doesn't have to, but now listening to this he doesn't know what to reply.

Gauri pleads to Om "please Om, I don't want to leave Souvik, this is the only way we can be together and I know you want good for Souvik. It's hard for you to find someone who accepts him and it's equally hard for me to find someone who will understand my love for him. I know you won't allow me to take him and I can't live without him. Please Om" 

"Gauri" held her shoulder and added "we will marry" with that he moved out of her room, without giving any expression, he had hid his feelings so that Gauri didn't understand why he agreed in no time.

Gauri felt bad for pressuring him on this marriage but she didn't have any other option.

Dadi was happy to know this, they got married in one week. Their marriage was solely based on Souvik's happiness.

After marriage when they went in their room, Gauri had Souvik in her arms. She made him sleep in a baby crib. Dadi had tried to take Souvik with her but that boy wasn't ready to leave him mom.

"Gauri, I know what you have thought about this relationship but I want it to be a normal marriage" Om said sitting beside her and holding her hands.

She was nervous, they have helped each other many times in a year. They had a great friendship but suddenly after marriage he wants to be her husband.

She knew he was right, she thought she might need time but there was nothing like that, they are together from the last five years. It's more than time anyone would need.

Souvik was sleeping, Om held Gauri's both hands and turned her towards him, he looked at her trying to read her. There wasn't any emotion, she seemed fine.

Finding that she was not sad or angry. She was not denying his rights. He simply moved closer and kissed her cheek.

With this kiss Gauri felt alive, the confusion she had about all these things, about her feelings all vanished.

In a blink she accepted him and her love for him. Gauri hugged him burying her head in his chest.

He reciprocated the hug feeling happy that finally he was complete. He held her feeling responsible towards her. 

Om slowly touched her skin. She was wearing a backless blouse. He enjoyed touching her smooth body. The sensation he was feeling was so much more for him. He stood up taking her with him. He slowly removed her chunri. Now she was standing front of him in only her choli and skirt.

Om kissed her face, every inch of it. He moved towards her lips. He stopped and looked at her. She was shivering with his touch. There was a pleasured expression on her face. She was waiting for his kiss with closed eyes.

Om slowly closed his eyes and claimed her lips. There was a spark; they both felt it. The kiss was soft and slow. It was their first kiss. Gauri reciprocates the kiss surprising Om.

Gauri tiptoed and pulled him close to her body. Om deepened the kiss and realized his decision was right. This was the most right thing he ever did.

Om moved down and kissed her neck sucking it, Gauri felt all new with his touches. All emotions were so new, so good that she couldn't feel anything at this moment. Both were lost in their new world. Gauri felt shy and turned. Om took that as an opportunity and kissed her neck while back hugging.

His hand was on her milky stomach touching it smoothly. Sucking her neck. It was pure bliss.

Om's hand moved to her choli's string before he could pull and undone it. They heard Souvik's cry.

They both run to him. Om took him in his arms and started to pat his back. He stopped crying.

"Gauri go get change we should sleep it's late" Om said slowly so he won't disturb Souvik.

Gauri nodded in reply and went to change.

Gauri felt so different but so right. She avoided thinking and went back to the bedroom. 

Souvik was sleeping on bed and Om was sitting beside him, Om smiled at her.

Gauri slept on bed beside Souvik, Om went to change. Gauri was waiting for him to return. Feeling something inside her stomach, maybe it was a butterfly, it was her first kiss. She had never felt this way before.

When Om walked in he found Gauri was sleeping. Without disturbing her sleep, he slept on the other side of Souvik, keeping him in the middle.

Gauri's hand was on Souvik's stomach. Om held it lovingly and drifted into sleep.

Next morning when Gauri woke up there wasn't Souvik or Om in bed. Gauri realized it was the first time in a year she had undisturbed sleep.

Om must have taken care of Souvik at night when he had cried in hunger.

They had slept together before also while helping each other at the time of his presentations and her exams. At that time he learnt to take care of him. He always tried his best to take care of him and her. He had been a best father figure for him.

They were already his parents in every possible way.

After getting ready Gauri walked down to the dining table and had breakfast. She feed Souvik with her hands.

Later they both left for office together with Souvik like always. Gauri helped him in office work since her exams ended Om had asked her to join business and she did. She is better than him in handling office work.

Om was waiting for her graduation so she can take care of the office, he can get free, little time for his passion. They had a playroom for Souvik in the office.

Since they are married so many things have changed but both are happy because it's changed for the better.

Gauri thought everything would be the same in the office but to her surprise it wasn't. After knowing that she is Mrs OSO everyone gives her more respect. Om and she was welcomed with bouquets, everyone congratulated them.

Gauri was wearing a red saree, Om was wearing a brown suit. He was having 2yrs Souvik in his arm while his one hand was wrapped on Gauri's shoulder protectively.

In office Om had different kinds of feelings, he wanted his wife and Souvik close to him. He moved to his cabin and looked at Gauri's cabin and felt so happy and relaxed there Gauri was so engrossed in work. He looked towards Souvik who was sleeping.

He didn't knock because he knew he might disturb them. He simply walked in her cabin and slowly locked the door.

He doesn't want any disturbance if things turn differently he thought to himself.

He sat on a chair and put files on the table. Gauri looked at him, a little shocked, then just smiled at him.

Soon he too got engrossed in checking the file of a company which he was about to buy.

Gauri was typing something on her laptop when her desk phone rang. Seeing her busy, Om picked it up.

"Hello" 

"Hello sir there is a call for you since you weren't available in your cabin we called on mam's" she said explaining herself.

"It's okay, just transfer the call on mam's telephone" then he talked with the person.

Souvik woke up and was crying, leaving all work behind Gauri picked him in her arms. She started walking and consoling her son.

Still on call Om saw this and felt to paint this beautiful moment, he couldn't understand much on call because he was distracted with the scene. his wife and his son.

He just cut the call with "hmm"

Souvik who had now stopped crying was looking at his papa. Om extended his arms open for him. Souvik came to him.

"Daadaa" he said happily.

Om kissed his cheek happily.

"Gauri, let's have lunch" Saying that he walked towards the door.

Gauri followed him, she was feeling hungry.

When they were having lunch in the canteen, Rudy joined them.

Rudy is Omkara's best friend who works under him.

Gauri was feeding Souvik once he was full and she had her lunch.

She enjoyed Rudy's company; he was talkative and a cool uncle for Souvik.

The day was uneventful, a plain normal day, soon they were on their way back to home.

I'm back with a short story. This will be hardly a 2 or 3 shot story.
