The next morning, Luna slumped in her chair. His teacher, boring old Mr. Harris entered the chamber and saw Luna waiting for him.
"It's a miracle, your early today princess." he teased.
Luna raised her eyebrow.
"Never mind. The sick king ordered me earlier to double my time lecturing you since you didn't show up yesterday."
"Wait, he's sick?" Luna asked, eyes bulging.
"Yes, last night the king was not feeling well. But lets focused on that. Let's move on to your lessons." Mr. Harris cleared his throat and opened the mathematics lecture book. "Today your lesson will be algorithms."
"Seriously, were going to start on that boring one. How about we start on, um, history since you got 2 hours to lecture me."
"Fine. History it is," he reached for his history book and opened it. He fixed his glasses and was about to speak, but Luna interrupt him.
"Mr. Harris can I suggest, since talking about history, Can you tell me about Eldea?" she said, smiling. She can't definitely stop thinking about Bren. Luna was in the middle of her daydream, when Mr. Harris growl got back her attention.
"Princess Luna, didn't I taught you that last three weeks ago?"
"Please recall it. I was barely listening." Luna said.
Mr. Harris glared at her.
"Fine, but this will be the last time I will repeat it."
He cleared his throat, and began to speak, "The great battle between Cardonia & Eldea."
"During Kings Humprey's reign, the ruler of Cardonia-"
"He's my grandfather, right? My father's father," Luna asked.
Mr. Harris nodded and continued, "While in Eldea, the land of elves. Their king was greedy and cruel, he planned to attack Cardonia, to take it and name it as his own kingdom..."
"Wait, I don't remember such things you sure their king was cruel?" Luna interrupt.
"Yes, all the history books say so. Besides your the one who's barely listening, remember. Now, please let me finish." he answered and continued,
"The war between them almost took one year, and unfortunately the king of Eldea was killed during the war. His fourteen-year-old son, Prince Aryan took his place as their new young leader of Eldea."
Luna yawned.
She was getting bored. Luna always suffering from boredom when it comes to lessons like this.
"The prince knew they were no match with the Cardonian knights. He decided to face King Humprey and offered him a peace treaty. In his side his teenage loyal friend-the youngest and bravest soldier they have, Olyver Lofton."
Hearing his last name, enlighten her.
Immediately, she remembers Bren's lastname, a smile formed in her face.
"He supported the prince for he knew it was the right thing, and if the war will continue all the elf soldiers will die. . ."
Mr. Harris paused and turned the next page and continued,
"Prince Aryan came to the castle of Cardonia and meet King Humprey."
"Let me guess, grandpa agreed to the peace treaty, and they lived happily ever after, right?" Luna said.
"Not yet, Luna."
"King Humprey understand the young prince and agreed at the peace treaty his offering..."
"That's what I just said," Luna whispered.
"Wars and fights are just a waste of time. It will only cause disasters and conflicts" Mr. Harry mimicked. "This was the famous line of the Prince."
"After it, all of them cease their fire and the eldean soldiers leaded by young prince Aryan, they returned to their land and the kingdom of Cardonia reclaimed its peace." Mr. Harris closed the book and looked at the princess.
"You know Luna, this story has lessons too, can you guessed it?"
Luna scratched her head. "Don't be greedy?"
"Exactly, because it can lead to excessive desire for more than deserved and hatred."
"Cool. So what happened next to Olyver Lofton?" she excitedly asked.
"Years has passed after the war, Olyver Lofton killed thousands of enemies who tried to attack their land, because of his bravery and greatness, he was chosen to become the general of the elf soldiers."
Luna looked stunned. She remembered how brave Bren was yesterday battling the weird looking ninja lady-who almost killed the princess-just to save Luna's life.
Remembering him, Luna felt her own destiny lock into place.
He's mine.
