✴️ ᴀ ᴩʀɪɴᴄᴇꜱꜱ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀ ᴍᴀɪᴅ ✴️

Though everyone was busy in the kitchen, Chara found a way to escape.

She was assigned to wash all the used pots, plates, and other kitchen utensils. But there were still no dishes to wash.

She explored through the east and west wing of the castle. As she continue to roam around, somehow she felt something was familiar, but she can't understand why.

She paused at the portrait that caught her attention.

A picture of Baby Aileen, and Baby Luna.

Both young girls, looking cute while cuddling each other inside their cradle, sleeping peacefully on their soft, silky blankets.

This was the same portrait she saw the other day, when a squire was leading them to the maid's dormitory.

She noticed it was the only portrait that includes Baby Aileen. All the rest were Luna's. A picture of a midnight haired princess from her youth, towards her teenage days.

Chara's eyes focused on Aileen, as she gently caress her picture with curiosity on her eyes.

She heard many humors about the young, blond princess's lost.

Some says, Aileen was only a months old and she was kidnapped right after the queen's death. 

But because of the reason she wasn't found anywhere, unknowing why. Some people concludes, Queen Helen—her mother— took Aileen with her so she wouldn't be lonely.

Chara had no idea why she was curious about the princess life, or why does she feel weird at all the sudden.

"Hey, you there!" a female voice called.

Chara looked at its direction, and shocked to see who it was.

Princess Luna! She was walking towards her direction.

Chara began to panic, not knowing what to do.

Luna was now standing in front of her. She noticed they have the same height.

Chara only stared at the princess for a moment. But when Luna growled, Chara was back to her senses. She immediately bowed her head to show respect.

"State you name, girl?" Luna asked in a grumpy voice.

With a jolly voice, Chara said, "Your highness, my name and my job here, is written on my tag, here in the left side of my blouse, see?"

Chara's eyes widen in shock, soon to realized the way she just talk to Luna. She talked to her like she was only a normal girl, or like she already knows her, and not a princess who was in a higher rank than her.

What is wrong with me! Chara thought miserably.

Luna arched her eyebrow, and glared at her. She could guess she was one of the new maid, and this is her first day inside the castle.

"How dare you talk to me like that." Luna's eyes darted at the silver steel tag the blond girl was saying.

Her name was carved on it, and also the word, ᴋɪᴛᴄʜᴇɴ ᴍᴀɪᴅ below.

"Kitchen maid, huh? Did you know your suppose to stay in the kitchen all day, and work on some dishes? If not, you already know it now. Your not here to take a tour around the castle, keep that in mind." said Luna, and poke her index finger at Chara's forehead.

She chuckled, and left the girl standing alone.

Chara watches Luna walks away. She didn't expect Luna was not nice as she seems.

She sighed defeated, and went back to the kitchen where she belongs.
