"Shubman," Ishan muttered, looking up from his phone as an idea suddenly struck his mind.

Shubman, who was looking through his bag to find something comfortable to wear for the night, looked up at him with an raised eyebrow.

"Come here," Ishan said, gesturing Shubman to come towards him quickly.

"Kya hua?" Shubman asked, keeping his bag aside and walking towards Ishan.

"Sit," Ishan muttered, pulling him down to sit beside himself, "Look" He said, showing his phone to Shubman.

"A map? What are we supposed to do with it?"

"It's the map of this place, we already know this hotel is surrounded by a big jungle, right?"

"Haa, so?"

"I just searched a little bit about this and you know there's not much dangerous animals around and the scenery is to die for."

Shubman frowned, "I don't understand Where's this going."

"Wanna go get some fresh air?" Ishan grinned.

"Wait, in the jungle? You've got to be kidding me." Shubman exclaimed, disbelief spreading on his face as he realised that Ishan actually wasn't kidding.

"Goodness, are you serious? You know, we are strictly instructed by the professor to not do any stupid shit," Shubman said, going back to get his clothes out.

"Dude, where's the joy in following instructions? Come on, it'll be fun."

"I don't relate to your definition of fun."

Ishan sighed, getting up from the bed and approaching Shubman, "Sneaking out is fun, you know. Have you never done it?" He asked, poking Shubman's shoulder.

"Yeah, in high school." Shubman exclaimed, "I'm not in high school anymore,"

"Exactly, that is why we gotta keep the kid inside us alive," Ishan beamed.

"Come on, don't be a fattu," He added, poking Shubman again, receiving a glare.

"Please, Meri Jaan," Ishan mumbled, fishing out his most useful weapon; his puppy eyes.

Shubman rolled his eyes, "Fine,"

"Great, grab your phone," Ishan smiled brightly, shoving his own phone in his pocket and grabbing Shubman's hand as they got out of the room.

"What are we even gonna do after sneaking out?" Shubman asked as they reached the ground floor.

"Just roam around, what else-"

"What are you both doing here?"

Ishan stopped talking midway, his eyes widening as well as Shubman's when they heard their professor's voice. They gulped, turning towards her.

"Wo hum- wo-"

"We were a bit hungry so we're just going to fetch some food, Mrs. Banerjee, " Ishan answered calmly even though he was freaking out inside.

Mrs. Banerjee looked at them for a few seconds before nodding and leaving them alone.

"God," Ishan breathed, grabbing Shubman's hand and running out of the hotel hastily.

They breathed heavily as they got out of the main door of the hotel.

Shubman giggled, "This was actually fun,"

"Told ya," Ishan winked.

Expect the road leading to the hotel, it was deep, dense forest everywhere. They walked more deep into the forest, cautiously. It was completely quiet, the only sounds being the breeze ruffling the tree leaves, the dry leaves crunching beneath their feet and the sounds of different typs of insects.

Shubman gulped, "Damn, this is kinda scary,"

Ishan chuckled, starting to hum lowly, "Gumnam hai koi, badnaam hai koi, kisko khabar kaun hai wo-"

"What the fuck, Ishan? Shut up," Shubman squealed. His heart pounding in his chest as he got extra conscious of his surroundings.

"Sorry," Ishan laughed, "Koi na, main hoon na," He smiled, grabbing Shubman's hand and squeezing it a little in comfort.

"Tu hai tabhi to main yaha fasa hoon," Shubman mumbled, rolling his eyes, "Agar koi bhoot-voot mujhe utha ke le gaya na, that would be your fault,"

Ishan snickered, shaking his head, "Sweetheart, I know you read a lot of books related to paranormal creatures but they aren't real,"

Shubman scoffed, "Be serious, dude, we both are literally in a course that search for evidence to prove the reality of paranormal forces,"

"I also studied Anomalistic psychology last year so," Ishan shrugged.

"Plus some researches says paranormal forces don't tend to humans with any reason or benefit," He added.

"What if they have a reason?" Shubman asked.

"Wait, you're right," Ishan mumbled, stopping.

He turned towards Shubman, "I fear the ghost wouldn't be able to resist how cute you are. It will definitely try to take you," He grabbed Shubman's hand again, pulling him closer, "Stick to me, sweetheart, okay?"

Shubman blinked, his cheeks turning pink, "You're ridiculous, Ishan."

Ishan chuckled but didn't say anything. They went over some bushes, turning behind a huge tree, only to come across a sight that left them breathless.

It was a beautiful place, a small lake surrounded by greenery all around. Long trees, small plants, many bushes filled with various flowers. The full moon shone on the place, bathing everything in its pretty glow, the whole of the sky was littered with twinkling stars, creating a roof of enchanting beauty all over the place. Fireflies flew around the place freely, adding to it's beauty.

Wow. Ishan stepped forward, seemingly in a daze. This place is so familiar. Have I been here before?

"This place is so familiar," Shubman whispered, his eyes stuck on the lake in front of him.

Ishan's head snapped towards him, his heart pounding in his chest. I'm probably going insane.

Shubman's legs walked towards a direction on it's own.

Ishan frowned as he held his hand, pulling him back, "Where are you going?"

"Oh, I'm just gonna look around here a bit more,"

Ishan raised an eyebrow, "You aren't scared anymore?"

Shubman pouted, "I was never scared,"

Ishan chuckled, "Okay, as you say, sweetheart. Go,"

Ishan left his hand, feeling a strange jab at his heart as soon as he did so. He shook his head, walking closer to the lake. Sitting down, he looked at his reflection in the lake that stared right back at him along with the reflection of the bright full moon.

He flinched back, his heartbeat fastening as he saw a glimpse of two blurry figures in the water. Blinking his eyes repeatedly, he looked back at the lake but found nothing.

What if there's actually a ghost or something? Ishan thought, scanning his surroundings. I'm definitely going insane.

"Hey,"

"Ah," Ishan squealed, his hand on his chest before he relaxed, noticing it was just Shubman, "God, you scared me,"

"What did I do?" Shubman mumbled, sitting beside him, concerned, "What happened? Are you okay?"

Ishan took a deep breath, nodding, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You don't look fine," Shubman asked, reaching out to gently rub his back.

Ishan smiled, his shoulders relaxing, "I am now."

"If you say so," Shubman smiled back, turning towards the lake and staring at the reflection of the moon.

"Oh, here. I got something for you," He mumbled, taking out a well kept black rose from his pocket.

Ishan took the rose from his hand, softly touching the petals with his fingertips.

At Ishan's questioning look, Shubman smiled, "Remember you told me, you love black roses. There's huge bushes of black roses nearby so I got you one,"

"Thank you," Ishan mumbled, caressing the rose softly, "It's beautiful,"

"But not more than you," He added playfully.

"Shut up," Shubman rolled his eyes 'causing Ishan to chuckle.

"Hey, do you mind if I place my head on your shoulder?" Ishan asked softly.

Shubman smiled, inching closer to him, "All yours."

"You or the shoulder?"

"Whatever you want,"

Ishan leaned closer, smiling softly, "And what if I want you?"

Shubman's smile dropped, a strange, strong ache spreading throughout his chest, "Don't flirt with me," He murmured, glancing away from Ishan.

Ishan frowned, "Kya hua?"

"Nothing," Shubman replied, still not looking at him.

"Shubman, look at me," Ishan said, turning him around to face him, "Kya hua?" He asked again, their gazes locked together.

"I don't want you to flirt with me," Shubman said.

"Okay, as you wish," Ishan replied, forcing a smile, "Can I know why though? Do I make you uncomfortable?"

Shubman shook his head rapidly, "No, there's nothing like that, it's just- um,"

"Hm?"

"Agar hame aapse mohabbat ho gayi to?" Shubman asked through a whisper.

Ishan's face dropped, his heart thudding in his chest again as he stared at Shubman.

"Pachtayenge nahi aap," Ishan whispered back after a while, smiling softly.

"Bhool mat jaiyega aap ye baat," Shubman mumbled, not tearing his gaze away from Ishan's pretty-pretty brown orbs.

"I won't," Ishan smiled.

Shubman looked ahead as Ishan leaned his head on his shoulder, both of their heart thumping rapidly in their chests as they sat together in silence.

"It's so strange how this place feels so familiar," Shubman spoke after a while.

"Tell me about it,"

"Do you as well?" Shubman asked, glancing at Ishan.

At Ishan's nod, he sighed, "It's just, like I feel a connection maybe? I don't know how to say it. Like I-"

"Don't understand how a place you've never been to before can feel like home, right?" Ishan completed, "It's weird, I know,"

"Hm, It feels good though," Shubman smiled, dipping one of his hand in the water, shivering slightly as the cold liquid touched his skin.

"Do you wanna go back?" Ishan asked.

"Let's be here for a few more minutes, please," Shubman muttered, wrapping an arm around Ishan's shoulder and leaning his head onto him.

"Okay," Ishan mumbled quietly, a soft smile spreading on his lips.

"This was so cute, wasn't it?" Abhishek smiled, keeping his iPad aside.

"It was," Mayank agreed.

Both of them were sitting in their balcony, watching a random movie on Abhishek's iPad. The cold night breeze brushed through them, making them shiver slightly.

Abhishek sighed, leaning back on the couch while looking at the moon, "Having watched this movie, now I'm kinda craving a cute relationship like this as well,"

Mayank frowned, "Why?"

"Huh?" Abhishek looked at him, confused, "I mean it's nice to have someone who'll look out for you,"

"I look out for you," Mayank pointed out.

"You do," Abhishek smiled, "But someone with whom you can share all your feelings and trust them with all your secrets,"

"You don't trust me?" Mayank asked.

"Off course, I do, Mayu," Abhishek chuckled, "Someone with whom I can cuddle?"

Mayank rolled his eyes, "You can cuddle with me,"

"You like sleeping alone," Abhishek pointed out.

"I know," Mayank smiled, "Chal, khada ho, mujhe neend aa rahi hai," He mumbled, walking inside to the bed. Abhishek smiled, following him inside.

Mayank lay down on the bed, pulling Abhishek to him as soon as the latter sat on the bed. Wrapping his arms around Abhishek, he closed his eyes to sleep.

Abhishek chuckled, "Seriously, Mayu?"

"Good night, Abhi. Sleep well,"

Abhishek laughed, snuggling closer to him, "Good night."

-

Hey, people. Tell me, do you want me to add more Abhiyank moments?
