Part 36 - I'm sorry
😂😂 I'm well aware of the situation!! I'm trying to get it right, I promise 😅. Enjoy ^.^

"You're such an idiot!"
The first thing I heard was Luke's voice. Right after a blasting pain in my head attacked me, making me remember what happened.
"Can you at least say something?!" Luke yelled again, and I opened my eyes.
I was laying in the bed I hardly recognized. Delirious was sitting in the chair, having his face hidden in his hands, while Luke was pacing from one corner of the room to another.
"I could have heard his screams from downstairs, you fucking moron! You truly are heartless man," Luke continued, not having any ideas that I was awake.
"I've protected you ever since your mother died. I've been cleaning your mess, excusing your behavior, but this was over the limit. This kid doesn't need your bullshit in his life," Luke was whispered, and I slowly sat up.
"I want to go home," I spoke up, noticing I was already dressed up.
"Evan!"
I was pulled into the hug, looking at Delirious, who was still sitting in the chair. His eyes red and puffy, his face wet from the tears. The expression of a broken man.
"Ok, c'mon, let's go home," he commanded, pulling away from the hug.
I got off the bed, giving myself a few seconds to stop the dizziness. Luke was waiting for me in the hallway, so I walked towards him with the last gaze at the older man in the chair.
"I'm sorry."
His words stopped me in my moving, his broken voice touched my heart so deeply.
"Evan, c'mon," Luke demanded my attention.
"What are you sorry for?" I asked him in whisper.
"I didn't want to hurt you, I was-" I didn't let him finish his sentence.
"Oh, but you did hurt me. You ripped my heart right from my chest and you tore it apart."
I turned myself to Luke, walking towards him.
"No! No, Evan, don't leave! I need you, please, don't..."
I smashed the door closed, taking a deep breath.
"Evan, I-" Luke wanted to speak up, but I stopped him.
"Don't say a word. I just want to get out of this house, away from him and away from you."
"I understand," he whispered back, leading me out of the house.
I got into the car, wishing to be far away from this place. The whole ride was sunk in the silence until we reached my mom's house.
"I'm so sorry, Evan. You didn't deserve any of that," Luke spoke up, while I was unbuckling myself.
"I don't want to talk about that," I replied, opening the door.
"Evan," he called out after me, stoping me.
"Say hi to that sexy teacher of yours for me, will you?" he smirked at me, making me roll my eyes.
"Bye, Luke," I whispered, closing the car's door.
I quickly walked to the house, knocking on it. The moment my mum opened the door, I hugged her like my life depended on it. I felt suddenly so safe, in the embrace of a true love.
"Evan! I haven't seen your for a few days, come in," she said, pulling away from me, while I shook my head.
"No, we're not staying here. Pack all important things, we're moving out."
"What?! What happened? Is some other gang after you?" She asked all worried.
"Please, we need to go now."
We can stay in hotel for a few days until I find some place for us. Anywhere is better than so close to him.
After I called a taxi for us, I waited for my mum to get her stuff, nervous that any passing second Delirious could walk in. I was thankful my mum didn't question all what was happening, maybe she knew I would tell her in some time.
I sat on the couch in our hotel room, exhausted from the passing out and from the anxiety. I closed my eyes for a few seconds, when I felt my mum sitting next to me.
"Do you want to talk about it now, or should I wait a little longer?"
"I'll tell you, I promise, but not now," I replied in whisper.
What am I even going to say to you? So much happened to me that I'm afraid you wouldn't understand a single one.
"And that bruises on your neck, hun? Some gang war?" She touched my neck, while I stood up.
"Please, let's just go to sleep. I have school tomorrow," I sighed, going to my new room.
I need to go shopping after school, since all my belongings are at his house. I'm sure Bryce and Ohm will understand.
That night I couldn't sleep at all. First half of the night, I was woken up by the calls from Delirious, which I successfully ignored until I was so frustrated that I wisely turned my phone off.
The second half of the night I was haunted by his image. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw him. His beautiful blue eyes, his soft and caring expression he had so rarely. Everything I loved so much about him.
I overslept the alarm clock, mainly because of my turned off phone. Still so tired, I grabbed my things and walked out of the room. My mum was already in the living room, watching some show.
"I thought you wanted to go to school," she smiled at me mischievously.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I yawned, taking my jacket.
She stood up and walked towards me. My hands were in hers in a few seconds, in a soft grasp. She looked directly into my eyes, while I felt so guilty for all this time I had been lying to her.
"I know you're tired and exhausted from all things you have been doing for me, for us, and you don't even know how much I appreciate that. The only thing I wish for now is you to be happy again. We're fine now, we don't need money, we still have some left, and I have a job interview in a few days. Can you leave that gang? Can you go back to school and focus on it?"
I closed my eyes, fighting my tears back. I nodded my head and opened my eyes again.
"I will do my best, mum."
"Alright, sweetheart. Just promise me, you'll focus on yourself from now on. You don't need to put everyone else above you, just for once," she smiled at me, letting go off my hands.
"Bye mum," I waved at her, before I closed the door.
"Have fun there."
Have fun at school? You watch TV too much, mum.
I reached the school in a less than thirty minutes. I didn't regret I missed a few classes again, even though I had a feeling Ohm was going to interrogate me for that. And I was right.
Just as I was on the way to the other classroom, I was pulled aside by my teacher.
"Follow me."
I sighed, not in the big mood for what he might have had in his mind. The moment we walked into his room, he mentioned me to close the door and sit down. He casually sat on the table, watching me carefully.
"You want to speak about it?" He started, and I pressed my lips together.
"There's nothing... nothing to speak about, mister Ohmwrecker. I did what you advised me to do," I replied, not really comfortable speaking about what happened.
"You spoke to that man, right? And did you told him about your feelings or did you told him your goodbyes?" He asked carefully, and I closed my eyes just for a few seconds.
"I told him both things," I answered silently.
"How did he reacted? Looking at your neck
I'm not sure what the answer could be," he said, looking at my neck.
I quickly tried to cover my neck, avoiding my teacher's gaze. There was a few seconds of silence, before he took my hands into his.
"There's an important event this Friday. You're still my Sugar Baby, as well as I'm still your Sugar Daddy. Be my date at that event, it would mean a lot to me," he smiled at me.
"I don't have anything to wear though, neither am I in the mood," I replied, wishing to go home and just stay there for the rest of the days.
He leaned in, softly kissing me on the lips. It was a sweet and innocent kiss, nothing more behind it, but it made me blush either way.
"I promise it's going to help you to forget. And don't worry about the suit, I have it all covered. Now, we need to get Bryce and-"
Ohm's speech was interrupted by the knocking on the door. I quickly stood up, trying not to look too suspicious.
The door opened, revealing my headmaster. He looked at me, before his eyes ended up at Ohm.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, Ryan, but can I talk to you in a private? It's going to take just a few seconds." He walked in, and I looked at my teacher.
"Sure. Don't forget about what we agreed on, Evan," Ohm smiled at me, and I nodded, quickly walking out of the room.
I wanted to close the door, but my curiosity won over everything else. I let the door opened just a little bit, so I could head better. I just had to know, what was so important that our headmaster had to talk to my teacher in private.
Maybe something from Ohm's previous life?
"I didn't interrupted anything important, did I?" The headmaster asked.
"No, I was just going through Evan's latest results. The kid had real potential in him, trying to get the best out of him," Ohm replied, and my lips curled into a smile.
"Alright. I need you to cancel everything you have tomorrow," the headmaster announced.
"What? Why?"
"Scott Girberg, our school therapist, was found dead a few days ago. They still didn't found his killer, neither they have any suspects nor witnesses. His wife wants to give him a proper funeral and she invited us. I'm going to cancel the school for tomorrow, telling the kids we're going to his funeral. I just wanted you to know in advance, because the cops are going to ask every teacher a few questions in hope to find any leads."
What?!
