/1\ Arrival
The ship launched into the air and everybody held on tight until they reached no gravity. They had to stay in their seats until they found the actual ship they would be staying on though. After a few minutes, a click from the ship sounded and alerted them they had connected to the other ship. Instantly, the three younger ones jumped up. "Let's wait a minute." Laff says and stands up, lending a hand to Joocie who unbuckles and stands with the help of Laff.
Everybody then starts getting up as the door they had walked through earlier to get on the smaller ship opened. It revealed what looked like a cafeteria. The two youngest instantly ran to check it out. Shotgun didn't follow and stayed next to BakBak who was checking his wrist watch again for notifications. "Let's head inside I guess." Laff says and grabs Joocie's hand. Socks follows after the two and soon does everybody else. The door closes and a disconnecting sound alerts the ship. The smaller ship had disconnected and was headed back down to earth. Luckily their luggage had already been transferred from a different ship.
"Everybody take a seat." Laff says as everybody makes their way to the middle table which had a red button on it. "You can let go of my hand now Laff." Laff looks over at Joocie and quickly let's go of his hand. "Sorry mate." Joocie smiles, "That's alright Laffy." Laff covers his gas mask with his hands as Joocie goes and sits next to Muffin. Laff recollects himself and sits next to Joocie. "Well Gentlemen. Welcome back-" He glances over at Socks. "Welcome TO the Skeld." He glances around at everybody who were looking at him. "As you all know, I am second in command." He mumbles the last part and slightly glares at Socks but stops when somebody grabs his hand to comfort him. He continues as Joocie tangles his hand into Laff's own, "And I scheduled for us that today would be a free day. You have today and tomorrow to get your rooms settled. After tomorrow, our tasks will be selected. Each day you will have a minimum of about 6 tasks. And you must complete them correctly. Or the ship will not work right. Now..I would like everybody to bring your attention to Socks, our.. captain.." Socks looks around to see everybody look at him.
He glances over at Laff who motions to his wrist watch. Socks grins at Laff who just rolls his eyes. Socks pulls up his wrist watch and reads out loud a message, "There will also be certain things to do in order for our lives to be kept. There can sometimes be errors that will need to be fixed. Such as Oxygen, you can fix by typing in the code on the two keypads located in O2 and Admin. Reactor meltdowns that are located in reactor and require two of the crew's hand prints. Anybody can scan your handprints for it. Comms, to which we can no longer hear anybody trying to connect with us from earth. It will need to be fixed by lining the right radio waves to the example shown. And the lights, which can be fixed by flipping on all the switches in the electrical box, located in electrical. Sometimes it may not be just the lights and could be that all the power in the ship had been cutoff. Which will result in nothing working at all except your built in spacesuit flashlights."
Nadwe and Blaza start flipping their flashlights on and off. Meme smacks the two from across the table which makes them stop. He then motions for Socks to continue. "As for your rooms. Each room has your name labeled above the doorway so there should not be any mistakes. We will also remind you about the vents. We recommend to not crawl in them, unless your trying to give someone a fright. Due to the constant reports of a disfigured human figure being seen crawling in them..."
Socks looks around the table to which most of their eyes were wide. "We never heard about that warning before.." Joocie mumbles, unsettled. Laff grips Joocie's hand a bit harder to try to reassure him. Socks continues, "We believe you should all keep a close eye on your crew mates and look out for unsettling behavior. But anyway, your tasks will appear on your wrist watch each day. DO NOT IGNORE THEM. Or you may cause an argument between friends. The red button on the table is for emergency meetings. You will also have a megaphone on your suit belt in case you are suspicious of a place in the ship that needs fixing or for any other things in general, including injuries. There are speakers in the cafeteria that echo throughout the ship, alerting you of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sleep time. You have to be in your rooms by 11 because the heating units in the ship will be shut off in every area except your own rooms. If you are found to be in a predicament where you are not in your room or somebody else's by that time, you can only pray you won't freeze to death. Food will be sent to you by one of our smaller ships and you will need to bring in the boxes to the cafeteria. Any questions you need answered? Message us and we'll get to you right away. Enjoy your trip." Socks shuts off his wrist watch.
"Well.. some parts of that message were totally not unsettling.." Tbh says nervously. "That's never been a message sent to us before. We haven't even heard about... the vent issue.." Wictoria says holding onto her husbands arm. "I'm sure they are just playing a prank on us." Nadwe says and looks over at Shotgun who still looked horrified. He tugs on BakBak's space suit grabbing the man's attention. BakBak looks over at his brother, noticing his horrified state, and has Shotgun rest his head on BakBak's shoulder as he rubs his arm to try to comfort the teen. "Let's go get our rooms settled.."
