3rd person POV

Velocity was nervous.

Very nervous.

They were going into an all-tribe and hybrids school, called Glasswing Academy, which was truly one of a kind. The Dragonets of Destiny themselves had founded their school, which was on top of the cave they've spent most of their lives in. There was even a rumor going around that the name of the school came from a dragon made of glass, which visited the Dragonet's dreams and told them to name the academy that. The Dragonets disagreed, but most dragons believed the theory anyway.

To sum it all up, the school was large, prestigious and inclusive, and since Velocity wanted to be a healer, wouldn't they be excited before their first day of school?

Wrong.

They were nervous, since they had to leave their moms, Opal and Sunshine, who had to take care of the orphanage all alone!

Suddenly, there was a knock at their door

"Velo, sweetie, are you in there?" Sunshine's voice rang out.

"Come in Momma" Velocity replied. Sunshine then opened the door and entered.

Sunshine was a small Sandwing the colour of molten gold. Her wings looked, quoting their Mom, Opal, "Like sun rays caught in an intricate glass sculpture".

"Velo, what's wrong? Are you worried about the kids?" Sunshine asked, worry evident in her brown eyes, which usually shined with happiness.

"YES I AM! What if Violet starts missing me and starts asking you about everything and then Snowstorm has an attack and Mariana falls while trying to fly again and-" Velocity's rambling was cut off when their Momma hugged them tightly and gave them a kiss on the forehead. The bright red Skywing latched on to her as if the world was ending, hugging the life out of her. Sunshine looked them in the eyes.

"We'll be fine. If you want to make us happy, go and learn anything you can at the academy! Violet will be overjoyed at the new information you're going to bring her." She said and then winked. Velocity smiled and let go ofher.

"Thanks Momma! I'm gonna finish packing!" They said with new enthusiasm. Sunshine smiled and left the room. Velocity continued to pack their scrolls into their large back-pouch, a scavenger invention remade for dragons.

'Aaaand that was the last one! I'm done!' They thought to themself, and sighed in relief. Just as they sat down, a small blur of purple burst into the room.

"VELILI! VELILI!" Violet exclaimed. She was a little Silkwing, not even two years old, in a warm, dark purple color. Her eyes, sparkling with curiosity, were army green.

"VELILI! WHI DU HOOMAN HAB HAIR AND I SCALE!?!?!? WHI I NO HAB HAIR!?!?!?" She asked loudly. Some dragons may not understand a word of what she said, but Velocity knew exactly what was her question.

"I don't know Vi, probably because scaengers come from monkeys, and monkeys have fur." They replied calmly.

Violet sat down, sheer amazement evident on her face.

"Hooman com from monki?" She said quietly, obviously not prepared for that answer.

"Yes, they do, Sky told me. Now, go, I'll be right behind you with my pouch." They replied and grabbed the packed sack. Violet zoomed out the door, probably off to tell the fact she just learned to anyone and everyone. Velocity sighed, shook their head, and went downstairs.

The ground floor of the orphanage was a mess. Sandstone was running around with Secretive, while Snowstorm watched, Playfull and and Croa were jumping around Mint, who didn't seem to like it, and Gemini stood off to the side, painting a starry sky.

Velocity went around the chaos, in the direction of a pair Leafwings around her age. 

The first Leafwing was forest green, but part of their chloroplasts, their spike webs and their wings were a semi-cold brown. The other one looked almost the same, but without the brown parts. Both had eyes the color of cold brown. (Oak's design is on the top of the chapter.)

"Hi Oak! Hi Spruce!" They said cheerfully and hugged the taller one. He hugged back enthusiastically.

"Hi Velo! I heard Vi running around with some crazy scavenger facts. It's your job again, isn't it?" Oak asked with a reprimanding tone.

"I dunno...Maaayyyyyybeeee?" They replied with a smile. Oak shook his head, but didn't say annything. Then the other dragon giggled. Velocity looked at him.

"Spruce, don't you dare-"

"SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP." Spruce yelled and then ran away as fast as his legs could take him.

They sighed an let go of Oak.

"When will he learn we're basically siblings? AND I'm not interested in boys!" They cried out, clearly annoyed.

"Well, when you tell him you're not. He's gay, you're gay, and I'm pretty sure that he'll not be mad, but maybe it's just me and my wanna-be-supportive straight ass." Oak said patiently.

"Okay, I'll come out to him, just call him." They said with a hint of "I'm fucking done" in their voice.

"CARROT CAKE!" Oak shouted. A second later, they heard claws sliding off rock, and Spruce was already there.

"Cake? Where cake? Gib cake. Need cake." He spitfired, his pupils large.

"I can give you my slice from yesterday..." Oak started, and Spruce's eyes went even wider somehow. "... if you listen to what Vee has to say to you." He finished. Spruce's gaze then quickly shifted to the Skywing. He was the embodiment of the saying "I'm all ears".

"So, Spruce, I've got somethinng to tell you. They started awkwardly. They then took a few deep breaths, and thought 'YOLO', before saying "I'm greysexual and sapphic."

For a moment, it was quiet.

"So, let me get this gay, you're attracted to girls, but only sometimes?" Spruce asked.

"Well, yes." Velocity responded, sweating slightly.

"OMC I HAVE NEW SHIP MATERIAL!!! I ALWAYS KNEW YOU HAD SOMETHING GOING ON FOR SUNNY!" Spruce yelled, and Velocity blushed at the mention of their celebrity crush. "Oh, and sorry I shipped you and Oak, I was dared to by a person who... knew too much." He blushed heavily, his green scales seeming even greener. The Skywing grinned evilly.

"Oooh, does our little Spruce have a cruuush~?" They teased, making the smaller Leafwing blush into oblivion.

"HEY! I'M OLDER THAN YOU! NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU'RE A MOUNTAIN FOR CLEARSIGHT'S SAKE!" He yelled, flustered.

"What's all this noise!?" 

The trio immediatelly froze. They looked at each other, the message in their eyes evident.

'We're fucked.'

A large Skywing, red-ish orange in color, entered the room. She was big, tired and angry. Her sunset-pink eyes angrily searched the room.

"TO THE KIDDOS: I'M TRYING TO SLEEP! SO QUIET!" She yelled, making the dragonets disperse quickly in all directions.

"AND NOW, TO THE TEENAGE DRAGONS" She looked at them with that sentence. "AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN SCHOOL OR SOMETHING!?!?!?"

Oak and Spruce looked at her, confused, while Velocity had a look of pure terror on their face.

"OH MY THREE MOONS" They shouted suddenly, making the Leafwings jump and stare at her.

"What's-" Oak started, but the Skywing didn't let him finish.

"I WAS SUPPOSSED TO TELL YOU WE HAD TO GO OUT FOR SCHOOL IN TWO HOURS AND THAT YOU HAVE TO PACK, SINCE IT'S A ONE-HOUR-LONG FLIGHT!!! THAT WAS HALF AN HOUR AGO!!!" 

Spruce froze, while Oak had a look of pure terror on his face.

"WE HAVE ONLY HALF AN HOUR FOR PACKING AND SAYING GOODBYE TO FRIENDS!?!?!? OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT-" He sprinted into his room, presumably to pack his things.

"I'm just gonna go eat his cake." Spruce said and went into the cooking room to get the treat, while Opal, who was the large Skywing, retreated to her room, probably to go back to sleep. Meanwhile Velocity started muttering under their breath.

"Okay, I'm packed, now I just need-"

"Velili is leave?" A heartbreakingly said voice sounded next to them.

Violet sat there, tears in her eyes, before hugging the red Skywing tightly, as if she was scared that they would leave as soon as she lets go.

"Vi, I have to got to school to have a chance at being a healer in the future." They said, but the small Silkwing didn't let go regardless. Velocity sighed.

"How about this: I'll learn a lot of new things in school, so maybe I'll be able to answer more of your questions!" They said enthusiastically. Violet froze, clearly analyzing the thought.

"Okai, but Velili bacc sun pwease? I mis Velili." She said, making puupy-dog eyes at them.

"Of course! I'll be back by winter break! Now, go and tell Spruce that we leave in 15 minutes." They said, nuzzling up to the smol bean. She laughed, and nyooomed to the kitchen.

TIME SKIP, SINCE THIS CRAP IS TAKING TOO LONG

Somehow, they made it there in time. They landed on the specially-made area where the entrance was. A red and orange Rainwing came up to them.

"Hi, I'm Sunset, and I'm one a many responsible for touring freshmen and giving them instructions! Okay, so I need your gender and pronouns. If you have more than one set, tell me! I'm female and my pronouns are She/Her!" She introduced herself while holding a sort-of scroll with a wooden plaque with two openings.

"My name is Velocity, my pronouns are They/Them, and I'm Non-binary." They responded.

Sunset nodded, before writing something down of the scroll-slip in her talon and slipping it into the plaque. She then attached it to a ribbon and put it around their neck.

"Now everyone knows you pronouns and you won't be misgendered! Here's your schedule, you're part of the Opal winglet." She handed them more scrolls and went to greet another dragon.

'Huh, Opal winglet. Pretty coincidental.' They thought, before looking at the paper.

They started to sweat. They forgot that the papers were written by her celebrity crush, and now they were blushing.

'Focus, you camelface!' They reminded themself, before going back to reading.

'Oh thank the Moons Oak is in the same winglet as me.' They thought. It was the first uplifting thing in the school. The only things left were the cave number and their schedule.

'Huh. I'll be busy this year.' They thought while going towards the "CAVES" sign. They spotted Sunset again, who seemed to be looking for another 'freshmen' to tutor.

"Hey, Sunset, where could I find Cave 12?" They asked.

"Go to the end of the hall, and then turn right. It's just behind the corner." She said, and went off to a Seawing who looked absolutely lost.

They went to the cave, and saw a moss bed, a leaf hammock and a ledge. They settled of the ledge, throwing their bag over it and waiting for their clawmates to arrive.

Hi, It's me again. Here's the first chapter of Destiny Falls! I'd like to quickly mention that Oak and Spruce were adopted from eva23hope, btw thay have amazing adopts. Seriously. Go follow them.

Also, I know I said I'd do a face reveal at 100 followers, buuuuut I want to do it with my 50 follower Q&A, and I made a batch of eggs in my adopt book that need to be all adopted out, since to get one you have to ask a question for my Q&A.
