↳ CHAPTER TWO:

LILY EVANS ↵

        THE COMPARTMENT WAS COMPLETELY QUIET, all three of the unknown boys staring at the strange girl as if she was Merlin himself. Seren had joined the boys, as she didn't have a bloody clue what to do... And had no friends.

"Why are you here?" James asked his friend's sister bluntly. Seren gaped at the boy, as his hard stare never left her face. Well that was rude. 

"James..." Remus stared at James sternly, he paused reading a book to scold his friend. "Don't bother my sister."

"Well it's true."

Seren turned quickly to look upon the boy besides James, the boy with shaggy black hair was named Sirius.

Who names their kid Sirius?

"You've never talked about her, Moony." Seren glared at him as he talked to her sibling.

Moony? Like, the moon? He told his friends about...?!

Wait, he never talked about me? Ever?

"Rem, HALLWAY. NOW." Seren stormed out of the compartment and waited for her brother to join her. "What the hell were you thinking telling those daft idiots about your secret?"

"I didn't," The young girl gasped at him, as he sheepishly smiled at his sister. "They found out."

"How the hell do three boys find that out?" Seren was completely worried at this point. How could the family secret be revealed? And why hadn't Remus said anything before? Didn't he realise he would be judged for it?

"They're my best friends. They were worried and kept finding me in the hospital."

"Did you hurt them?"

Remus's eyes grew large, "oh Merlin, never!"

"I'm the werewolf, Seren." My brother leaned close as he whispered, his brow furrowed together in a frown. "Not you."

Seren pouted, knowing he was right. However, she was stubborn and didn't want to apologise for worrying for brother.

Seren spun around, away from her twin before walking down the aisle to find an empty compartment away from boys.

        THE YOUNG BRUNETTE SAT IN THE QUIET compartment, her head resting on the window gazing out as the scenery flew past. For magical people, this train sure did move slowly. The compartment door slid open and Seren peeked at the figures entering from her peripheral vision.

It wasn't Remus or his friends.

It was two girls.

One girl had bright red hair and pale white skin while the other had dark brown hair and tan skin. Each were completely different from the other. Both wore black robes with badges that labelled them as Gryffindors. They were in the same house as Remus.

Seren smiled warmly at the duo and they immediately smiled back.

"Hi," Seren began shyly, pushing herself away from the cool windowpane to introduce herself.

"Hello!" The red headed girl replied, a bright smile on her face as she sat down. "My name is Lily Evans and this here is Mary MacDonald. We're third year Gryffindors, we've never seen you around before."

Seren laughed lightly, "it's obvious, isn't it?" She stuck out her hand and Lily immediately shook it, Mary following suit. "I'm Seren Lupin."

Mary's mouth fell open, her eyes wide as she reassessed the strange girl in front of her. "You're related to Remus Lupin?"

"Yes," Seren laughed nervously, sticking my hands underneath my legs to keep them warm. "He's my twin brother, actually."

Both of their jaws dropped down in disbelief.

"Twin? Why haven't you come to Hogwarts before?" Lily shot question after question and Seren smiled at how open and welcoming these two girls were already.

"I transferred from Beauxbatons Academy, actually." She bit her lip, "I needed to stay close to home, I didn't want to be away from my brother." That, was a lie. Seren loved going to Beauxbatons, however, it was true that she needed to be with her brother— for his safety.

"YOU ATTENDED BEAUXBATONS?" Lily shrieked and Seren's eyes widened in confusion as Mary rolled her eyes. Lily's pitch had gotten so high that a student passing by paused to look inside their compartment. 

"Excuse Lily, see, she's a bookworm and top student at Hogwarts and her dream is to be able to attend the Beauxbaton's summer programme for young witches."

"I can help you apply, Lily." Seren offered, Beauxbaton was easy to get into, it was just the cultural difference that was hard. "I can also help you with your French."

Lily smiled widely at her new friend, "you're absolutely brilliant."  

This was a start to a great friendship.
