The island… that was all that Saeko could think about ever since they had gotten back to the city and the coast. Normally, Saeko is calm, composed, with a little bit of sadism behind it all, but ever since her experience on the island she can hardly focus on anything at all now. All of that had taken place weeks ago by now but she just can't let what had happened go.

It especially doesn't help that she's currently on a quick supply run with the same person she was with back on the island as well, Rei Miyamoto. Both originally rivals for Takashi's attention, now they're hardly ever seen with one another. The island gave Saeko and Rei a genuine identity scare and who could blame them after what had happened. 

The two pass numerous numbers of the undead and the dead on their way above the streets of the neighborhood they inhabit. Walking along the walls of people's homes to avoid getting too far into any conflict with a group of 'them'. Rei shudders a bit as she looks down at them all crowding the streets, her words getting caught in her throat as she follows behind the violet haired woman in front of her.

"Do we really have to do this now? It's so dark I can hardly even see anymore…" she mutters.

Saeko stares at her from over her shoulder, her hand placed on the back of her murata-tou katana.

"That's the point, we don't know how many people are still alive and besides…" she looks away from her, a small bit of pink dusting Saeko's cheeks and nose. Staring at the dead beneath her and so badly wanting to cut a few of them down, "We need supplies now. We get this done now and we can sleep and relax later."

Despite Saeko's mature and more monotone attitude to this all, she's really quite nervous. Rei has been on her mind ever since the island incident, she's hardly gone even a few hours without the girl coming to mind. 

Rei groans to herself but doesn't fuss, besides she doesn't really need a reason to stay out here longer then she has to. Both girls hurrying along the stone walls towards a pretty massive looking supermarket. 

'The power is clearly out thanks to the earlier EMP a couple weeks ago, but surely there's some edible food in there right?' Saeko thinks to herself, Rei keeping her covered as she observes the parking lot from around the corner that is absolutely crowded with more of 'them'.

Both women watch for a moment before Rei grumbles annoyed and sighs loudly. 

"Ugh, can we just go already? I'm freezing my ass off right now," she complains clearly annoyed. 

Saeko nods at her, trying not to think about how nice Rei's butt must look but ultimately failing when she drops quietly down a ledge and watches Rei follow suit. Her skirt being lifted as she falls and giving Saeko a very nice flash of Rei's panties, 

She freezes for a moment and calmly tries to turn away from Rei, grumbling quietly and rubbing the bridge of her nose, trying to stay focused. 

'This girl is going to kill me I swear…' she thinks, unsheathing her blade and walking forwards out into the parking lot that is filled with 'them'. 

Both Rei and Saeko are quiet as they approach. The dead roaming around aimlessly thanks to their inability to see and only a few being cut down by Saeko's blade whenever they got too close. Rei staying back, every now and then getting to admire Saeko's grace and control when she swung her weapon. 

A few of Saeko's spins or slashes spinning her skirt around for Rei to get a look at what was underneath. Both where blushing a bit now because of this, Saeko taking a shaky unnerved breath. She could feel her excitement growing, dripping a bit down her thighs after slashing through the corpses that plague this city.

"There, come on, we should hurry before anymore show up," Saeko insists, wiping any blood from her blade before sheathing it and walking towards the entrance of the store. 

Rei felt herself getting weaker as she saw her 'rival' fight the way she did. Following the young swords woman inside of the store, noticing that Saeko's steps were becoming much more… inconsistent. She didn't know how to put it exactly, but she noticed a subtle little shake in Saeko's legs with every other step she took. 

It was weird but Rei's not going to bring up a small detail like that, Saeko looking around and listening. She hears multiple groans from the dead as she and Rei close the doors behind them, the violet haired woman looking at Rei who's just as focused as she is. 

"Rei, try to prevent yourself from using that if you can," Saeko says, referring to her bayonet strapped to her body. 

She rolls her eyes at Saeko, "I'm not stupid Mrs. Busujima, I know how to handle myself…" her tone is obviously annoyed however it's very much so forced. 

Saeko keeps her thoughts to herself as disappointment washes over her a bit. She wants to be a little bit more to Rei rather than her rival for Takashi but as far as she knows, Rei couldn't say the same. 

"Right… let's just hurry then," Saeko says while hearing another groan or two to her left. 

Biting her lip softly as she feels the need and dampness from earlier filling her midst once again. Rei walking past her and going straight to work while Saeko decides if she should indulge in herself a little. It has been a long time since she had gave in to her true nature and the small handful of 'them' that she cut down outside was far from enough to satisfy her sadistic needs. 

She looks over to where she saw Rei go, the brunette having gone the complete opposite direction as her, she looks back at her katana and stares into it. 

"Perhaps… just a little bit wouldn't hurt," she whispers, correcting her stance quickly as she starts to patrol aisle to aisle. 

Saeko didn't see Rei for some time in the darkened store but she did hear the young girl fighting. It didn't sound to Saeko like she was struggling so she instead set herself up on top of a shelf. Waiting as some of the dead passed her before she would swoop in and collect her slaughter…

It was a bloodbath each and every time, and Saeko loved it all. Every moment her weapon sliced through one of these poor souls brought her closer to an ecstasy filled climax. She stopped and took a breath as she stomped a dead walkers back, pinning him down before letting her murata stab into his head. 

A smile of sadism on her face as she stares down, 'I forgot how wonderful this felt! The real me I…' she stands up normally once more and looks ahead of her, seeing one more of 'them' for her to enjoy. Charging the turned woman down and grinning with a sickening glee, 'Yes!!!' she exclaimed in her mind, swinging and easily cutting straight through the walking corpse's torso. 

She feels her body shaking, her arousal only increased but she didn't finish, she wasn't even close to it yet either and frustration quickly took her over as she gave a half hearted shriek. Attempting to recompose herself after so much excitement.

"Fuck… I-I'm wet again…" she mutters, looking down at her thighs and stockings that she can feel being more and more dampened now. "I need to find Rei so we can hurry…" 

Saeko sighs, starting to regret her decision a little now as she can't even stop shaking. It's nothing very noticeable sure but she doesn't want Rei to grow suspicious, especially since she literally gets off at cutting someone down. 

It took a little while to find her as Rei's grunts had subsided earlier. It got to the point that Saeko even feared the worst for her companion that she's come to have affection for but thankfully she found her in the back rather than scanning the aisle for anything edible.

Saeko hugs her sides softly and sighs, shaking her head and trying to rid herself of any impure thoughts she might be having and instead focus on getting supplies for the group. Hoping these thoughts will just leave at some point, but of course that's not going to happen.

"Rei, there you are," she calls out quietly, a quick shudder washing over Saeko as she realizes she's still wet and needy right in front of her crush. 

"Finally, you have enough fun out there with those things? I could hear you from back here!" she exclaims. 

Saeko feels a little embarrassed as she comes over to Rei's side, "I only wished to clear them out nothing more, now why are you back here?" she asks, glad that it's so dark that Rei can't see her face. 

"All the food out there is either molded, too thawed to be good, and whatever was left that was good to eat is gone already. I thought I'd check back here while you were… busy…" she mutters, the tone in Rei's voice sounding weirdly suggestive but Saeko paid it no mind. 

"Smart, did you find anything then?" she asks. 

Rei nods and brings out a bag she has, showing a ton of different canned foods, waters, snacks, ect.

"It's not really much but it'll get us through for a bit. Though really I think we should have just looked through some nearby homes, at least we didn't waste our time," despite Rei's extremely agitated tone, Saeko can't help but smile a little.

She loves this about Rei, the fire the young girl has and the fury she can bring to anyone who dares cross her. It's honestly pretty cute, Rei tries her best to act tough and intimidating and she can be just that in certain situations. It's just too bad Saeko isn't able to see it that way, well for Rei that is.

"You sound rather displeased Rei," she says, reaching down into the crates that Rei was searching through, wanting to carry a few things herself as well if there was anything left.

"What, you saying you wouldn't rather be sleeping right now?!" she exclaims much louder than she should have. 

Saeko shrugs, looking at a box of ramen and reading it, "Well… not really no," she admits catching Rei off guard a bit, "To be honest I already don't sleep much as it is. Though, lately I have been… rather restless, or more so then usual," Saeko explains.

Rei listens intently, it's actually been quite awhile since she's heard Saeko talk so much. Her voice is… different however. It sounds softer, more careful and not just because they need to be quiet. However that's not exactly Saeko's normal tone, she's usually confident and calm but sounds unsure of herself even now.

The violet haired woman looks up and refocuses herself quickly as she sees Rei staring at her intently, "Sorry, I realize that my sleeping habits aren’t the most interesting topic. We should hurry before any of 'them' wander inside here," despite Saeko's insistence, Rei can't shake the sudden change in Saeko's personality. 

What happened to the strong confident swords woman she had known at the beginning of all of this? It's been very apparent to everyone in the group as well that no one has changed more than Saeko lately after the island incident.

"No it's fine, actually you never really have told us about your home life, why not? Is there a reason you've been 'restless' lately?" for once, Rei sounds like she genuinely cares for the kendo captain. 

Saeko is a little thrown off since she's not used to this side of Rei. The young kendo captain sighing as she looks away and stands back up, her bag not even half way full. 

"I didn't know you would even care much…" she mutters, holding her arms tightly and showing a great deal of anxiety to the beautiful brunette behind her. "I've just been thinking about what's happened lately I suppose. This virus and all the people who have died during it, it's all still a lot to take in I suppose." 

Rei would normally believe this where it still the first few days of this pandemic. However after nearly a months worth of surviving and staying alive in this broken world it's hard to see this as anything but a lie. 

"That's it?" she asks getting Saeko's attention very quickly, "I mean sure it's bad but… you seemed to have accepted this all really well at the beginning. Hardly anything phased you, wanna tell me about what's really been going on?" she asks. 

A displeasure comes over Saeko, now she's wishing she hadn't decided to have this conversation with Rei. The woman looking over her shoulder a little as she looks at the girl behind her. 

"It's just… I guess we've changed a lot during this time. I think about that at night all the time. And the… island incident comes to mind as well…” Saeko says this so silently it’s not even above a whisper. 

It’s only because it’s so quiet that Rei is able to just barely hear what the sadistic killer had even said, “Wait, the island?!” she exclaims, Saeko flinching and clenching her eyes closed already regretting that she brought this up at all. 

However before she can do anything to defend herself for having these thoughts, a loud banging starts to come from behind Rei further down the storage of this store. Muffled grunts and groans of the dead following with the pounding of the metal shutters. 

Rei and Saeko refocus as even more of 'them' start to bang on the shutters for the delivery trucks. Saeko gasping as she hears it break with a loud clang, the dead making their way inside the store…

"Shit! We were too loud!" Saeko says, turning to go out the way she came in with Rei about to follow only for one of 'them' to come out from behind the door!

Saeko is already going for her murata but Rei is much faster, coming from Saeko's side and stabbing the corpse straight through his face with a cry.

"Get the hell offa her!!!" she shouts, Saeko watching with both shock and amazement at her companions show of valor. 

The young girl Saeko's come to greatly admire turning around and looking at her, angry and protective.

"You okay?!" she asks, Saeko looking at her in a daze and a light red blush over her face, if it weren't so dark you'd almost be able to notice it.

Saeko shakes her head and tries not to get distracted in this life or death situation, turning around and getting into a proper stance, "Y-yes, I'm fine, thank you for that," she says, her tone a fake confidence as Rei slams the door shut, "Look for a way out Miyamoto, please! I can handle them." 

Thankfully Rei trusts Saeko enough to know that she can handle a few of 'them' on her own. Saeko going straight to work as the dead start to approach, crowding the storage room while Rei searches for a way to escape. The dead quickly littering the floors as Saeko's murata slashes through them with ease, it's almost as if they're paper being sliced through. 

Saeko's heart is pumping so much more than it usually does, even more so then it had when she was attempting a climax earlier. The way Rei fought to protect the violet haired swords woman giving her a new found strength she didn't even know she had. At this rate she could cut down every single one of 'them' before Rei finds an exit but that would be rather foolish.

"Hey! I found something!" Rei announces as Saeko cuts through another one of 'them', an army of the dead still piling in through the giant open shutters door while their 2nd route is about to be compromised.

The psychotic killer turning around and looking to find Rei on top of a bunch of boxes right below a small opening in the ceiling that must've been left open before this apocalypse. 

"Come on, let's go! Unless you want to stay there with 'them'!" she shouts, Saeko not missing a beat as she hurriedly makes her way up to Rei.

Punting many of the dead out of the way with the back of her swords hilt and climbing up onto one of the boxes. Her ankle being grabbed by one of the dead that just barely managed to grab her. 

Saeko gasps and turns around, "Saeko! I'm coming hang on-" before she brings out the m92 she had, quick drawing it and shooting the undead woman in the face without any hesitation. 

Rei stares both dumbfounded and feeling a little fluttery. Maybe it was some extra adrenaline or something but she couldn't really tell or take her eyes off of Saeko as she climbed up to Rei with little visible discomfort to her after getting grabbed and possibly almost bitten. 

"Come, we should go before they follow," Saeko insists, Rei nodding with her little antenna things bouncing as she climbs up into the opening of the ceiling first and Saeko with her. 

Both are quiet as they crawl their way through the ceiling. It's dark but there's plenty of vents and pipes near them that they can see where they're going. Or Rei can at least, Saeko can really only see up Rei's skirt not that she's complaining of course.   

Attempting not to stare as they both crawl through the ceiling of this now undead filled store, the two girls spent a good while looking for a way to leave and Saeko was all the worse for it. Despite her being a respectful person with others, she was getting a little needy seeing up Rei's skirt for nearly half an hour. She was beyond elated when she finally found a small opening in the ceiling that was almost right in front of the store's entrance.

Rei dropped first and looked around, there was a sea of 'them' all pouring in and out of the back storage door that had been completely unhinged from its frame. Saeko was almost completely silent when she dropped, grabbing Rei's shoulder and startling the brunette a little as she turned around swiftly.

"Let's go, if they're all distracted we shouldn't waste time…" she says, Rei about to lecture the swordswoman for scaring her only to stop when she sees the look in Saeko's eyes. 

It's… hazy, or somber would be a better word to use. For whatever reason, Saeko doesn't look too pleased or focused anymore and Rei can even see she's shaking a little. 

'Maybe she's cold? Or maybe getting grabbed earlier did get to her?' she wonders, putting her aggressive nature aside and relaxing as she follows Saeko out who's already walking away.

Many questions and concerns laying at the end of Rei's tongue as she and Saeko leave the disastrous scene behind them…

Thankfully on the way back, there were very few of 'them' as most had been cleared out by the group or made their way towards that same store the two girls were just at. The whole way though, Saeko was silent which is pretty normal for her sure, but she was scared to look back at Rei as they walked.

She could feel the brunette's eyes on her the whole time they walked, she knew that she wanted to continue their conversation from earlier and ask Saeko more about the island. The group had all decided very quickly that they should forget whatever had happened on that island and for the most part, half of the group didn't even remember what happened while they were all high. Rei being one of those people as well, or so she claims that is. 

Saeko however remembers a little bit of what happened and while she isn't proud of it, she recalls what happened rather fondly. Even if she doesn't really remember much, which is saying a lot considering the events of that night.

"So, uh, we made it out alive," Rei points out, feeling the tension and trying to lighten the mood a bit. 

Saeko nods and grunts to her in acknowledgement, she doesn't really know what to say which is probably a first for the psychotic killer. Rei's expression quickly changes to one of annoyance when she sees Saeko's unwillingness to engage but she doesn't make much of an effort to continue talking to her now. If she doesn't want to at least look back at her then she won't bother, for now at least. 

Walking all the way back to the house that they and their group have all held up in for these last few weeks in complete silence. Saeko carefully climbing down from the ledge she and Rei had walked up on and sighing as she approaches the dark two story home. There's very little evidence that there's anyone living here currently, to any random stranger who passes by this home it would just be another abandoned house. 

Saeko quietly opens the door to the home and creeps inside, Rei following her as a few far away groans are silenced by the closing of the front door. Rei gives a loud and relieved exhale as she slumps against the door, closing her eyes and taking a moment to regain herself.

"Rei? Are you okay?" Saeko asks, still not looking at her. 

Despite Saeko's concern, Rei's aggressive nature gets the best of her, scoffing at the kendo captain and giving her a slight glare. 

"Yeah, I mean I'm just tired as hell and almost died to a ton of those freaks for a few scraps of food so I'm doing great!" she chimes in a very sarcastic tone. 

Saeko huffs and starts to walk away through the silence of this house, clutching her murata to her breast as she walks up the stairs towards the bathroom.

"Yes I… suppose I should have expected that," she mutters, "I hope you won't mind but I'm going to bathe first please. Between us both I believe I'm the most dirty," she points out. 

Normally Rei would refuse but the defeat in Saeko's voice for some reason just sort of breaks Rei a little bit. And she knows why Saeko is suddenly acting so off, but she doesn't know how to approach her about it yet.

Saeko left calmly, the safety of this abandoned house helping her relax a little bit now as she walks up to her room, putting her hand on the door knob before stopping. Slowly looking back over her shoulder and seeing the door that leads to Rei's room across from hers. Both had thought it best to call dibs on rooms for the top floor for safety reasons. 

Saeko shakes these thoughts off quickly however, grabbing her cleaner clothes like her jeans and the tank top that Takashi gave her a while back. They aren't as flexible as her school uniform skirt or her own personal skirt but she doesn't exactly need to fight when she's asleep now does she?

Leaving her room and rushing into the bathroom, she closes the door quietly and turns the light on. It's silent and all she can do is listen to the sounds of her heart beating in her ears. Quickly turning the water to the pretty large bathtub on to try and rid herself of this uncomfortable silence, her mind rushing with anxiety. 

Maybe she's overacting, all she did was mention the island after all, but then again this is the girl she had been crushing on and most of them have tried to forget the island ever even happened. Takagi especially since she was the one most freaked out by the entire experience.

She felt true peace come to herself the moment she entered the bath, untensing for the first time all night. She bathed at her leisure, no one was awake anyways other than maybe Rei so she could enjoy this time to herself. Allowing herself to soak in the tub for a few moments to clean herself of any blood she may have still on her, and trying to let her mind become clear even if only for these few moments. 

As she was about to close her eyes however and give in to the warmth of the water, she heard a knock at the bathroom door. Regaining herself quickly as a quiet soft voice broke through from the other side.

"Saeko? Can I come in please?" it's Rei, her voice isn't really demanding though which is a first.

She's silent for a bit but doesn't ignore the brunette's request, "Yes, come in Rei, please."

The door opens and Rei walks in, already naked with a towel around her body and a change of clothes with her too. Saeko tries not to stare and moves her legs up to her chest so Rei has room to get in with her if she wants. She sighs and lets the towel around her drop down, all of Rei’s gorgeous stunning body on full display for the psychotic killer who cannot bring herself to look. Too afraid that her eyes would be met with harsh judgement although this was definitely Saeko just exaggerating.

She jumps a little as Rei slowly steps into the bathtub, giving a long satisfied sigh as the water graces the exhausted young woman with it’s warmth. 

“Ah! That’s so much better!” she huffs, Saeko chuckling through her lips as Rei sits down to relax with her a bit, not yet realizing that she’s naked with her right now. “Sorry to barge in here just now but I couldn’t wait to do this, I just felt so… gross after that,” she explains.

Saeko understands completely, as much as she enjoys the never ending slaughter, even she can become a little sick of the constant blood and stench of rotting corpses. 

“No please it’s okay, we should enjoy ourselves a little bit together, it’s been some time since we’ve both been at peace around the other,” Saeko pointing this out does make Rei recognize that she is right about that. 

“Do you always talk this way, Saeko?” Rei asks, Saeko not understanding exactly what she means, “You always talk so… maturely, but I’ve heard you lose that tone before.”

Saeko doesn’t think too much about this and holds her knees, trying to get herself a little more comfortable, “I just do, back at the school I wanted to set a good example for the younger kendo students. Luckily my father gave me plenty of opportunities to do just that,” she explains, her eyes becoming focused and passionate to Rei as she speaks, “I will admit however, I do sometimes get a bit out of control. I suppose I’ve been looking for a reason to let loose a little.” 

Rei nods and pauses for a moment before she kinda moves a bit closer to the purple haired swordswoman. Their legs slightly touching each other's as Saeko's attention is refixed onto the woman sitting across from her.

“So… is that what you were doing back at the store?” she asks catching Saeko off guard. 

“Excuse me?” she replies, confused. 

“Back in the store I heard you fighting and kinda… watched a little bit,” Rei’s eyes lock onto Saeko’s who’s starting to get a little worried now, “You were so into it and the way you fought was… it was almost inhuman!” Rei exclaims but she sounds excited and is smiling, like she was glad to see Saeko that way. 

"I uh… thank you? I don't really know what to say, I don't usually get compliments from you like this," she chuckles, thinking Rei is actually making a genuine effort to be a bit nicer right now.

"Yeah well… I just thought maybe you could use it after earlier," she admits, referring back to Saeko being grabbed and nearly bitten. 

Saeko laughs beautifully to herself, covering her mouth as she leans closer to Rei, "I was fine Rei really, you don't have to worry so much about that, I've been grabbed by those things before anyways," despite her assurance to Rei, she just couldn't shake this sense of wronging to it all.

If Saeko was telling the truth then why was she so shaken after the experience? The entire way back here Rei could see Saeko's mistakes and the faults she made when she was walking as well. 

"Yeah but you were just so shaky after that!" she points out, "You were walking weird too on the way back so… I just thought maybe…" she stops, stuck and not sure what to say before she buries her eyes in her knees, "Nevermind, I'm being dumb just… forget it." 

Rei half expects Saeko to possibly take advantage of her in this flusterment but maybe that's just their rivalry for Takashi talking. However, Saeko is taken aback by this if just a little, it's not like Rei to give up on speaking her mind. 

"Well… you aren't exactly wrong," she mutters, the swordswoman feeling her anxiety rise as Rei looks back up a little, "I was a little shaken by something." 

Rei's head rises up a little bit more, curiosity peaking her, "Well then, what? I don't really understand what could be scarier than almost being bit like that." 

Saeko's eyes become a little more serious but there's still… somberness in it, would be a good way to describe it. The young swordswoman taking a deep breath before she says anything else. 

"When we were in the storage rooms talking I… shouldn't have done it, really, but mentioning the island was what did it… I think," as much as she wanted to avoid this subject, she also decided it necessary she just bring this up now instead of later.

There's a lot of shame on Saeko's face and even now you can see her shaking from nervousness. Rei doesn't lash out or anything however, she's just a little confused. 

"The island? Well what's got you so worked up over that?" she asks, the purple haired psycho shifting and rubbing her thighs together a little. "I thought you said you didn't remember what happened anyways." 

Saeko is paralyzed, she did say that but of course she was lying, why would she want to admit to anyone she remembered and enjoyed what had happened that night? It felt like she couldn't breath, and if it weren't for the way Rei was looking at her she probably wouldn't have continued either.

"I… didn't remember much perhaps but… I-I do have some faint recollection of it… o-of you," she stutters and Rei is shocked at both her confession and attitude to it all. 

A little lost for words, she responds carefully, "I… you do? I wouldn't expect that, at least not after how wasted we all were. It wasn't your fault though you know, you and I weren't in control of anything I-" she stopped when she saw the look in Saeko's eyes. 

They were glossy, almost like glass, and staring at her so intently, the swordswoman forcing herself to say it to Rei. 

"That's not it Rei, I-I know it wasn't either of our faults, b-but I… the way you felt," Rei inhales sharply, "I-I… I-I… can't say it, I'm sorry!" she apologizes, her voice just sounds so defeated now and there's a hint of hysteria in it as well as she quickly stands up from the bathtub.

Rei's caught off guard as Saeko hurries to grab her towel, not even wrapping it around her and even leaving her clothes behind. Too in distress to focus on anything else but leaving this place. Unfortunately for Saeko, Rei isn't okay with any of this, the woman she knew Saeko to be was not like this. She was always so strong and confident and every move she made was graceful and precise. To see her genuinely hurt, it upset Rei so much even if they are rivals for Takashi. 

Grabbing Saeko's hand as she was just about to grab the bathroom door to leave, her towel clutched to her chest and both girls' bodies glistening a little from the water. 

"S-stop, don't Rei please…" Saeko begs to her, the shame of this entire topic too much for Saeko to bear.

However, Rei didn't let go, how could she after everything she just heard from Saeko? 

"No…" she says firmly, taking the other hand Saeko had on the door's knob and taking her away from it. "Saeko…" she whispers. 

Rei accidentally rubbing the front of her body against Saeko's back. She hears her gasp loudly, knocking the wind right out of the distraught woman and making her melt right there for her. It was an accident, but Rei's breasts pushed up against Saeko's back perfectly to the point that she could feel how fast Saeko's heart was pounding.
