"Why did you take me up here?"

"Why not?" Dante asked, "Surely a dragon has had you ride him before--not intimately, of course."

"No," Ruby said, "I have never had the pleasure."

"Well, there's always a first time for everything, yes? Look at my kingdom," he mused, "Isn't it glorious?"

"I wouldn't know," Ruby told him, "I am orphaned and lived in squalor most of my days because of your father."

"Lies.."

"Not lies," Ruby insisted, "His disdain for humans is quite known which is why I don't like you."

"You think I am my father?"

"The apple doesn't fall far," Ruby snorted, "I am sure your father isn't just ruthless, but a cheating cad."

"A cheating cad, eh?"

"I said what I said."

"You're quite the peach!"

"There's my house! Oh, it looks so tiny!" Ruby shouted, slipping off the scales momentarily before Dante caught her.

"I said hold on."

"All of the land is so beautiful," she said, "I could.."

"You could what?"

"Learn to enjoy this."

"Enjoy my scales or the freedom to fly?"

She didn't answer. Ruby didn't want to give into his prowess, but Dante knew it.

"Oh, come now, little one. You can answer me."

"I don't want to."

"I demand it."

"Demand all you want, but I don't want to talk anymore."

"What's the fun in that?" Dante snorted, "Well, if you don't want to talk, there's a nice little cave I know where we can just fuck."

"Ughhh...I'd rather,-"

"Stay low! Enemies are attacking!"

"What?!"

Ruby lowered herself onto her stomach, still clutching Dante's scales as the dragonoid glided swiftly through the air to avoid any enemy attack.

"We have to get you to safety!"

"But what about you?!"

Dante breathed out a breath of fire as another dragon entered his aura, sending the creature barreling towards the ground below.

"Don't worry about me," Dante said, "You're the one without any strength here."

"I'm.."

"Human..." Dante huffed, "This is about your safety now. I certainly can't fuck you if you're dead."

Ruby scowled, "Even in the face of death, you're an asshole."

Dante chuckled as other dragons from a warring den pushed forward.

"That cave is where I will drop you off and I do not want you to come out until I get you!"

Dante shifted into his flesh form andeyed her as Ruby stepped back into the cave.

"By all means, please do not be a fucking heroine.."

"And what are you being?" Ruby stomped her feet, much to Dante's delight, "Oh, you are justwanting to get under my skin."

"That I do," Dante's eyes glowed agolden hue before he gently pushed her further back into the cave,"Get as deep into that wedge as you can. We can't get in there asdragons so it would be pointless for us to try."

"Dante,-"

"King.."

"Foul..."

Dante chuckled before shifting right before her eyes, "I'll come back for you."

And then, he was gone.
