Hello?? Desired is getting a sequel!! I just wanted to make that clear since not everyone has Instagram. <3

______

Isla blinked.

She blinked so rapidly, yet so slowly. She couldn't understand what he'd just said.

''What?'' Her voice was thin, uncertain, ''What did you just say?''

Theodore had something pained dragged over his face, something fallen and heavy, ''She's pregnant, Isla. That's why he wants to leave. She's... She's pregnant.''

Isla looked down at the floor with a frown before she stumbled past him to the bed. Flopping down to it, she crossed her legs. Theodore followed her with his gaze, and he turned around to see her.

''How... how long?'' She asked, ''And how... how long have you known?''

''I was...'' Theodore dragged in a breath, ''I was there when she took the test, and she's... She was twelve weeks along last week. So I suppose it's thirteen now.''

''Thirteen weeks?'' Isla swallowed her gasp, and she sighed, ''You've known for months, and you didn't tell me?''

''She...'' Theodore breathed out before he sat down next to her, ''She didn't want anyone to know, Isla. She didn't even tell Leo until recently. It's... It's hard for her, all of this, and the reason she told me was only because she sees me as her brother.''

Isla looked up at him with tears in her eyes. She could never have guessed this. It was nothing she imagined.

''Does she—'' Isla cleared her throat, slightly shaking her head, ''Does she know what she wants to do? Keep it or...?''

''Of course, she does,'' Theodore said. His elbows hit his knees as he sighed, ''She's... she's scared. She's happy with this, with the baby, and with Leo, but she's scared of what his father will do once he finds out.''

''Does he have to find out?''

''Leo wants to tell him.''

''What?'' Isla shot up on her feet, crossing her arms, ''Why would he want that? It's... It's so stupid, Theo. His father can't know.''

''I know,'' Theodore buried his face in his hands, dragging them through his hair before his eyes were back on her, ''I know it's stupid, Isla, and believe me, I tried to tell Leo that, but he's certain that his father will pardon them if he knows a child is involved.''

''No.'' Isla shook her head, ''He won't. Don't trust Leo when he says that, Theo. You can't let him do that. His father, he's... He's not the man you think he is. He locked Leo up for a month, and he compelled him it was two days.''

Theodore gritted his jaw.

''If he doesn't get what he wants with this, he'll... He'll hurt Mila, Theo. He will hurt her. He sees her as an obstruction, someone in his way. He will make all of this ten times worse if he knows. Leo can't tell him. He's not—''

Isla hushed and looked down at the floor.

This wasn't hers to tell. She knew that.

This was Leo's family. The family who'd once treated her like she was a part of it, but she didn't see any other way out of this if she didn't tell him, if she didn't tell both of them.

They were doing this wrong.

They were doing this without Draco, and that wasn't right. He had fought more for Leo and Mila than anyone else had.

''I think...'' Isla looked at the door, then back at Theo, ''I think Draco should be here.''

Theodore nodded slowly. As if he was already thinking the same thing.

''I think so too.'' He said, standing up. Theo wrapped his arms around her, and he pushed his mouth against her forehead, ''I'll get him, and we'll talk about it. All three of us.''

He did, and Isla spent those short minutes pacing back and forth over the bedroom floor.

She didn't even realize that her boys were standing in the doorway, looking at her as she grumbled and cursed to herself. Isla ended up against a wall, with her forehead pressed against it.

Draco frowned at the sight of her, ''Did you finally break her, or what the hell is she doing?''

''We need to tell you something,'' Theodore walked into the room, and he leaned against the desk, ''Or... she was about to tell me something, but you need to be here for this.''

''That's a fucking first,'' Draco rolled his eyes, looking away from Theodore and back to Isla, who still stood against the wall.

Her eyes were shut. Her own tiny words were the only thing she focused on.

It made Malfoy worried. He'd never admit to it, but seeing her like that, was hurting him. It looked like she was shaking, it looked like she was panicking, and perhaps she was because she didn't notice that they were there.

''Clarke.'' Draco said, and he placed his hand on her shoulder, turning her away from the wall, ''What the fuck is going on?''

Her eyes flickered, nervously and her cheeks took on a shade of shame.

''I was just—'' She shook her head, biting her own tongue, ''Where's Golden?''

''Leo took him for a walk,'' Draco's hand stayed on her shoulder before he dropped it to her waist, and he pulled her in, ''Clarke, tell me what's wrong.''

The side of her head hit his chest, and she looked at Theodore, who nodded at her from across the room, giving her permission to speak Mila's secrets.

Isla aimed her hooded eyes up at Draco, and her chin tucked against his chest instead, ''It's about Mila.''

''I figured as much,'' Malfoy let his fingers comb through her hair before his hands were back on her waist, and he held her close, ''What did Leo do now?''

''He didn't—'' She sighed, and she closed her eyes for a second, not even used to Mila's secret herself, ''He didn't do anything. He's... He's just trying to keep her safe in his own way.''

''What happened?'' Draco asked again, impatiently, ''If he hurt her, I'm with Nott about what he said downstairs. I don't have anything against throwing him back into Azkaban.''

''You burnt it down.'' Isla frowned, meeting his stare.

Theodore breathed out a chuckle as Draco shot him a glare, ''Shut the fuck up. If you had the fucking guts to do something at the fact that they hurt her—''

''Draco—'' Isla took his jaws in her hands, and she directed his face back to look at her, ''I was joking. I'm sorry.''

He looked down at her with so much guilt dashed in his eyes. ''Can you just spit it out already?''

Isla nodded. She brushed her thumbs over his cheekbones, ''She's pregnant.''

His brows slightly raised, and his lips parted for a brief moment before being pushed tight again, ''Really?''

''Really. Theo was there when she found out, but she asked him not to tell anyone, and Leo he... he didn't know until recently.''

Draco looked over to Theodore again, and the brunet nodded. Confirming everything Isla said.

The sterling eyes were back on his girl, ''What the fuck is it with you two and your god damn secrets all the time?''

''Draco...'' Isla gave him a pained stare, something hurtful blurred on her face, ''This wasn't Theo's to tell.''

''It's never anyone's secrets to fucking tell. How the fuck—''

Isla let her forehead fall against his chest, which had him quiet.

She never came to him for comfort, it was always Theodore when he was around, but now — now she buried herself in Draco. Her fingers grasped at his shirt, and she pulled herself in the last longing inches.

Malfoy gulped, and he let the hands on her waist travel over her spine. He hugged her back fully.

''So what?'' Draco settled his chin on the top of her head as he looked over at Theo, ''She's pregnant, and what else? Why is this a bad thing?''

''It's not,'' Theodore lightly smiled at the look of them, ''It's not a problem that she's pregnant. The problem is what Leo wants to do with everything around it.''

''Yeah?'' Draco mumbled, letting his hand run up over Isla's back, and he held it over her neck, trying to soothe her as best as he could, ''And what does that idiot want to do now?''

''He wants to tell his father.''

''Oh fuck no—''

''I know,'' Theodore agreed, ''Isla said that too.''

Malfoy looked down at the girl in his arms, still bored tight to his chest, and he felt a rush of proudness coursing through his veins. He knew she could be smart when she wanted to. He'd taught her well.

He loved her a little more for it.

"Smart girl," Draco mumbled against her head, feeling how she clung onto him a little tighter. He dragged his gaze back to Theo, "Is he stupid? Is that it?"

"Malfoy," Theodore said, harsher now, "He's not stupid. He's scared, so is she. All of us are. His father is capable of a lot. We know that."

"He'll hurt her—" Isla picked her voice up, and her words were muffled against Malfoy's chest, "If Mr. Green finds out about that baby, that she's pregnant... He will hurt her."

"I'm not fucking stupid. I know he will, as should Leo. I don't understand why he wants to tell—"

"He thinks he'll pardon them when a child is involved, but he won't, Draco. Not even for Leo. He depended his whole career on the marriage law. He won't let this pass." Isla said, looking up at him, "He will hurt her."

"And that's why the other option is to obliviate her?"

Isla nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat.

Draco slightly scowled, "And he doesn't want to run?"

"No," Theo pitched in, his head dropped to between his shoulders, "He will never agree to that. Mila is certain of it. She tried to talk to him, but his mind was set. It's either taking her memories away, or he'll tell his father.''

''He's a God damn fool,'' Draco hissed, ''Doesn't he understand what's at stake? He got her pregnant, and then he won't do what's right? For them to run away is the only option. They won't make it otherwise.''

''We know.'' Theo sighed, his eyes met Isla's, ''But he won't listen to us.''

''Fucking idiot,'' Draco shook his head before his hands were back on Isla's jaws, angling her to face him, ''If you're ever put in this position, we'll never do this to you. We will always do what's right for you, no matter how fucking complicated it gets. I promise.''

Draco couldn't begin to explain how all of this made him furious. He was mad beyond reason with Leo and his way of thinking.

''We will never put you in harm's way or give up on you.'' He said again, brushing the tip of his nose over the span of hers, ''Do you understand that?''

Her heart missed a beat, and she nodded.

Isla couldn't help but lengthen herself a bit on her toes as he pressed his mouth to hers. Malfoy kissed her slowly before he suddenly pulled away.

''I'll go talk to him. Perhaps I can beat some fucking sense into him.'' Draco muttered, withdrawing from her touch, but the second he was meant to let go of her, he stopped.

He took one look at that girl, and it had him caving.

''Fuck—'' He pulled her against him, kissing her again, ''You are fucking poison, Clarke. I hope you know that.''

Isla smiled against his lips, kissing him before he forced himself back, and he quickly vanished out the door.

Her sight snapped to the brunet as he brushed his hands over his face, tugging at the curls covering his skull. He looked tired, exhausted.

She'd almost forgotten about the fact that he'd been at the hospital earlier that day and that she'd overwhelmed him with Golden the second he came home.

Her heart ached a bit as she stumbled up to him, gesturing towards the bed, ''Come here, love.'' She whispered, ''We should go to bed.''

Theo didn't say much. He just nodded as she began unbuttoning his shirt, tugging it down over his arms. Gazing over his chest, she could see where they'd put the needles this time. It was so new.

She leaned in and kissed that spot. That reddened part underneath his collarbone. He felt his pulse quickening as she did that.

It felt good to him that she tried to comfort him with her touch. He could really use it.

Theodore tucked her hair behind her ears, and he brought her chin up while peering down at her, ''I love you. You know that, right?''

Isla knew what he meant by that.

In all of this, she felt stupid for doubting him before. She felt like a fool for what she thought of him. He would never cheat on her. She knew he wouldn't, and she despised herself for even thinking that in the first place.

''I know,'' She whispered, her fingers brushing over his bare chest, ''And I'm sorry. I didn't... I didn't mean to accuse you earlier.''

''I know you didn't.'' He said. There was relief on his face. He knew Draco had hurt her in those ways before, that he'd lied to her by telling her he'd been with someone else just to make her stay away from him.

''But I need you to know, Isla—'' Theodore let his thumb brush over her bottom lip, ''I would never do that to you, ever, and I mean that. You never have to worry about that, alright? It's you that I love, and I could never hurt you.''

Isla nodded before her lips were pushed to his. Something that hurt in her chest didn't feel as aching as it'd done before.

''No matter who you choose, or how this ends, I will never love anyone who isn't you. I am yours, no matter what you do.''

Tears rimmed in the corner of her eyes, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Their foreheads pressed together, ''How am I supposed to do this, Theo? It's happening soon... I'm meant to choose so soon, and I can't. I know it's stupid and selfish and... I just can't.''

''I know, love.'' He kissed the tip of her nose, folding his arms around her. Theo straightened his spine, and he picked her up, ''I know it's hard. I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now.''

Isla buried her face against his neck as he took steps up to the bed where he sat her down at the edge of it, and he looked at her, ''But you need to promise me that you do what's right for you, alright? No matter what you're feeling right now, when you fill out that paper — you do what your heart tells you to do.''

Isla silently watched as he unbuckled his pants, letting them fall to the floor. He reached for her dress, dragging it up over her head and dropping it to the same pile his pants laid in.

Then he laid down on top of her. His heart against her chest. His pain eased. His breaths didn't tremble as much.

She always took his pain away.

''What if...'' Isla whispered, reaching for the covers and pulling it over them, ''What if both of you are my heart? I'm not... I'm not even my own person anymore. I'm half you and half him.''

Theodore placed a kiss on her neck, ''I love when you say that.''

''And I love you...'' Her voice was so low, so pained and stained in everything she'd been putting off, ''Both of you. I rather let you two have each other than make this choice.''

''We're nothing without you,'' Theo said, silently, ''I think we were once... I think we wanted to try a couple of years ago, but it wasn't working. We didn't work because something was missing, Isla.''

Her fingers brushed through his curls, down his bare spine.

''There was always something missing between us, and I never knew what it was until you came along.'' He kissed her neck again, speaking lowly against her, ''I think we both knew the second we saw you, when we understood that you were assigned to us... that there it was, that last piece we both needed to be whole.''

The tears in her eyes were back.

''You always say that we do so much for you, love, but you really have no idea what you've done for us. Malfoy, he was a monster before he got to know you. He was so lost until he found a home in you, and I...''

Isla held him a little tighter, spreading her thighs for him to be as close as he could.

''I was always in pain. No one could take it away until you did. It doesn't hurt with you, Isla. You took it all away.''

''I love you...'' She whispered. Her voice was barely heard.

''And I don't say it enough. Neither of us does. You saved us as much as we saved you, if not more.''

''Were you...'' Isla tilted her head a bit, looking down at him, ''Were you in love with him? Before me, I mean?''

Theodore felt an arch on his lips, ''I think I wanted to be, but it was complicated back then, before the war, before Pansy. As I said, there was always something missing.''

''Do you—'' Isla let her fingers stroke circles over his spine, ''Do you think he was in love with you?''

''No,'' Theo said, and his tone slightly dropped, ''I don't think Malfoy knew what love was before you. I think he thought he knew, but he didn't. He spent years trying to convince himself that he was in love with Pansy, but he wasn't. I know he loved her, but not that love that makes you fall in love.''

Isla loved them both a little more now. She couldn't help herself.

She fell in love with them all over again.

''You showed us what love is, no matter how we treated you, no matter how many times both of us walked out on you, no matter how much we hurt you, Isla. You loved me through my secrets, and you loved him despite his past, despite what you know his family did to yours. You stayed no matter what, and you loved us through it.'' Theo nestled up to her a little closer.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she pushed her mouth to the top of his head.

''Thank you for saving him, love... and thank you for saving me,'' Theodore whispered, ''We wouldn't have made it without you.''

She shook her head, and her hands landed on each side of his face. Tilting it up, Isla pressed her lips to his.

''No—'' She trembled. His words struck something deep inside her. It touched her soul, and it ached her heart, ''Thank you, both of you.''

Theodore kissed her back for moments before his head was back on her chest and his arms tucked around her.

It would be the absolute death of her, doing what she knew was coming.

Choosing between them.

She'd been so caught up in their love that she didn't spare it a thought anymore. It was the recent weeks she'd thought about it more, and it became unbearable when she did.

She didn't want to think about it. It would kill her. Not only her but everything and everyone around her.

Isla felt something aching in her chest.

Before, there had been a breaking point where she believed it all to be too much, too heavy.

There had been too many breaking points.

They were too young for this. They shouldn't deal with matters of this size when they hadn't even graduated.

Isla had tried to fight before.

She tried to fight with everything she had, they all did, and they failed every time.

Leo's father did nothing with what she accused Ava of. He let it slip. He laughed at her, and he locked his own son up in her place.

He knew about the abuse Theodore had to go through as a child. He tried to use her true legacy against her far too often.

He set the law.

He forced young souls to fight and battle between their hearts and minds to keep something as ridiculous as the bloodlines in check.

After the war, he took power, and he turned their world into something even more obnoxious.

He did this. He was the problem. It was too much.

Isla couldn't take it anymore.

She needed to do something.

She knew what she needed to do.

"I'm sorry for this..." Isla whispered against his curls, and just as Theodore meant to brace himself up, asking her what she was talking about — she mumbled the magic to make him unconscious.

Theodore fell over her again. His body felt so heavy on top of hers as she hugged him tightly.

Isla held that boy so close to her chest.

She was a fool for doing this. She knew she was.

He would hate her for doing this, but he couldn't know. Theodore would talk her out of it.

He would convince her that there were other ways to go, other things to do. She didn't have to do what she wished to do. He could help her. And he would've.

Theo would put himself on the line for her every time if he had to.

Isla couldn't have that.

Slowly, she slipped out from underneath Theodore, and she tucked him into the covers of their bed.

After putting her dress back on and grabbing that vial Blaise once gave her, the vial she'd promised herself she would keep hidden, the magic she swore to herself wouldn't see the light of day. She didn't want it to be displayed because somewhere — she still cared for Ava.

Somewhere in his own ways, she knew that Leo cared more for Ava than for himself.

Isla tried to respect that. She really did, but she couldn't anymore.

Mila was pregnant, and no matter how she felt about the fact that they'd hid it from them for weeks — that was her absolute stop.

That was where Isla put them all above everything. She needed this to end. She needed to stop this, and to her — it didn't matter which friendships she sacrificed for that to happen.

Mila was pregnant, and she feared what the Minister of magic would do when he found that out, if she didn't do anything first.

With the vial in her hand, she marched downstairs. Sneaking past the living room, she heard both Leo and Draco's voices echo.

She was breaking Draco's trust again. She knew she was. She didn't want to. She wanted to bring him with her. She wanted to tell him everything.

She couldn't.

He risked too much already.

He was facing prison himself.

Fred's trial wasn't over with, and she knew that the wicked ruler over their world was doing everything in his power to come between all of them.

Isla couldn't risk Draco.

She'd rather have him hate her, not trusting her if it meant that he was safe.

Silently unlocking the front door, she slipped out, and she disappeared into the shadows of the night.

Not knowing if she would make it back.
