Hyerin lifts up a red dress and smiles. It's small and too short for my liking. I shake my head, frowning. She scoffs and throws the dress back in her wardrobe.

"This is the fifth dress I show you, can you be more comprehensive?" She sounds upset.

I raise an eyebrow.

"I would be more comprehensive if you told me what the hell is going on."

Hyerin shakes her head and signals towards the door. I roll my eyes, she's already told me more than three times. Her mother can hear us, and I know that. The real question is, why doesn't she want her mother to hear us? What is so bad that she's trying to hide?

"You'll put this one on, and don't complain." She finally says tiredly. A black dress falls over my lap. "No excuses, Areum."

I stand up, walk towards her and whisper:

"Where are we going?"

"Where do we go every weekend?"

I stare at her for a few seconds. She knows what happened with Jungkook, and she's still forcing me to go.

"And if I'm not ready?" I ask. "What if I don't know how to confront this?"

"Are you talking about Jungkook?" She asks, and I confirm by looking at the floor. "Areum, calm down, you don't have to talk to him if you don't want to."

I raise my gaze.

"You're pulling me into this circus again because of Jimin, right?" Her face confirms it. "For the love of God, Hyerin!"

"It's because I like him a lot!" She screeches with emotion. "Please, he told me that he has something important to tell me."

"That's what everyone says when they want to sleep with someone." I respond, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Because now you're the expert, right?" She says in a seductive tone.

"Shut up!" I say, blushing.

She gets closer to me and pouts.

"Please, come with me..."

The idea of seeing Jungkook doesn't sound good at all. I don't know what I'll tell him, or if I would even bring it up. He hasn't called me or sent me a message. And just because he showed up to my house and we had a small talk doesn't mean anything.

Yes, we've kissed, but that was different. Inside of me the hope grew like an unstoppable ball of snow that kept growing, falling from a mountain that's miles of meters high. I'm afraid that when I'll want to stop it, it will end up destroying me.

However, I have a certain curiosity. I want to know if he'll look for me, or if he'll want to tell me something...

"Okay." I nod and she tries to hold in her screams. "But only for a few hours."

"Calm down, we won't go for a fight today. Only a party."

"There won't be a fight today?"

"This fight is only for the men." She rolls her eyes. "It's going to be a massacre."

I stand up from the couch abruptly.

"Will Jungkook fight?"

"Of course." Hyerin sees the tension in my eyes and smiles. "Relax, he always wins and he practically comes out untouched."

"Practically?"

"Yeah, but today is "everything goes" night." She smiles at me with innocence. "They generally destroy each other how they want, and that's why they don't let the "ladies" assist."

Even though she had a sarcastic tone, it doesn't seem funny to me. The "everything goes" is a very violent fight. I've seen it a few times on TV: they put them in a large cage like animals, and they hit each other. The only difference is that they can kick each other, push and hit each other on the floor. The only thing that is not allowed are the low hits.

"You know? This talk isn't making me feel better." I say, shaking my head.

"Jungkook is a professional, you shouldn't worry." She says with a smile.

"Hyerin."

"Yes?"

"Is it worth it?" My question takes her by surprise. "I mean: the lies, the sneaking out late at night, are they really worth it?"

She shrugs her shoulders.

"I don't think I have the answer for that yet. I mean, one doesn't know what might happen in a few months, if we'll be going out on double dates or if we'll even be talking to them."

"You didn't answer my question."

"Your question doesn't have an answer, Areum. You can't do things in life and then predict what happens next." She sighs. "You need to let yourself go; jump into a pool with your eyes closed and see what happens."

I laugh.

"Even though it might be empty and I might hit my head at the bottom?"

"What counts is the jump, not what happens next." She hands me the black dress again. "Plus, by what you've told me, your pool has lots of water."

"Just because we went out doesn't mean it was a date, Hyerin." I say, frustrated. "We haven't talked since then."

"I don't know, I think it's your turn to make the first move."
