"This is useless."
"Wooyoung..."
"No, Seonghwa."
"Stop." Seonghwa set a hand on his friend's arm. "He just broke up with his girlfriend, and you're expecting him to be what? Happy?"
Wooyoung sighed. "He doesn't deserve to be sitting there, crying his heart out, either. It's not fair. She got away with crushing his heart and leaving him alone."
"It's normal to react this way," Seonghwa replied, looking at Mingi softly. "I wish he wasn't in so much pain, too."
"He's not talking to us. I can't help but get mad."
"I know." Seonghwa returned to Wooyoung's bedroom, where Mingi now lay wrapped with the thickest blankets he could find.
"Mingi?" The oldest softly asked.
"What?" the croaky voice replied.
"Can we help you at least distract yourself with something? Food? Games? Uhm..."
As Mingi thought of his options, the front door of the apartment opened, and all three heard keys dangle from someone's hand.
"Oh. Sannie's here," Wooyoung commented. Seonghwa and Mingi looked at him in question.
"Who?"
"My new roommate. Did I not tell you? Hold on." Wooyoung left the room to greet his friend.
"So?" Seonghwa asked. "Anything we could buy?"
"F-Food would be nice." A small, damaged smile appeared on Mingi's face. It hurt to see it. He was trying too hard to think positively.
"I'll go with Woo, then. Think you can stay here in your little blanket fort?" Seonghwa teased.
"Yeah."
Soon the plan was made. Wooyoung and Seonghwa buy food, and Mingi stays in bed — deep in thought. His back faced the doorway so he could only peek at the open blinds displaying its rainy scenery to Mingi. In other circumstances, he would love to see the view. He would even open the window to stick his head out and see the rain. Now he didn't feel strong enough to do so.
"Hello?"
Mingi's thoughts cut. His mind swerved around the unfamiliar voice behind him.
"Huh?"
"I'm sorry for disturbing you. Wooyoung told me not to enter, but I thought it sounded serious, and—" he sighed. "Maybe I should have stayed in my room instead. Sorry, I'll go—"
"No!" Mingi quickly rolled his back to face the man. He squinted, trying to get a good look. The light behind him seemed to prevent it. "I-I'm Mingi."
"San. It's nice to meet you." San fought between approaching the man or just nodding his head. He chose the latter. "May I ask what's wrong?"
Mingi sighed. It hurt already, so telling one more person couldn't hurt, right?
"I... My girl— My ex-girlfriend dumped me. She just left without a word."
"Oh... I'm sorry." San stepped forward slowly until he reached the edge of the bed, on which he sat. The overall gloominess in the room lowered. Mingi suspected it was the man's aura. "People are so stupid sometimes. They don't realize the best moments or people in their life until it's long gone. She made a mistake. A big one."
"R-Really?" Mingi's puffy eyes blinked and looked like glass. San wanted to coddle him. He seems like a big baby.
"Yeah. I wouldn't let a sweet guy like you go if I'm smart. Just know that she's missing out on a good relationship with you."
"Sweet? How did you get there?" Mingi looked down in his lap, embarrassed and confused.
San gave a small chuckle. "You're a baby."
"Huh?!" Mingi placed fists on his hips with furrowed eyebrows. "No I'm not."
"You're pouting."
"You're stupid."
San laughed and set a hand over his mouth, eyes pressing closed in joy. "Cute," he managed to say. Mingi only blushed and looked away.
Before they knew it, Seonghwa and Wooyoung returned with food in their hands. Mingi didn't even notice so much time went by. The sky was in the process of darkening, and the rain stopped. Was he so deep in conversation with San, time went by?
"Oh. You two talked?" Wooyoung asked.
"Yeah."
Seonghwa inched a step closer to observe Mingi's face. "Are you okay?"
"Hm?" Mingi covered his mouth with a blanket. "What do you mean?"
"You look a little red."
"I was teasing him, that's all," San explained with a smile. Seonghwa turned and flashed Wooyoung a knowing glance.
"What? What's going on?" Mingi and San questioned.
It was from that event that WooHwa started hosting group dates now including San. Mingi didn't linger on his heartbreak for long. It was clear to them that his emotions were cautious, of course, but slowly developing to a happier and brighter state of mind.
He would no longer dwell on the regrets of his previous relationship but instead shrug it off and make it a thing from the past.
Seonghwa and Wooyoung knew the change came from one source: San.
The male knew how to comfort Mingi. He knew how to support him. There would always be room for teasing, cooing, and jokes.
San was just the perfect person to help him through it.
One morning when the four gathered for breakfast at an old-fashioned diner, Mingi urgently pulled Wooyoung aside before they could sit. Seonghwa and San were full of confusion as they left.
"Woah, Mingi. What's up?"
"I," Mingi bit his lip. "I think I like someone."
Wooyoung casually mumbled an 'Ah' and crossed his arms. "It's San."
"What? No— I mean— Wait—" Mingi sighed. "Yeah. I do."
"That's cute. I noticed you two clicked the first time you met." Wooyoung patted his friend's shoulder. "So, what's the plan?"
"Plan? Um..."
"Are you going to confess?"
"Right..."
Wooyoung reached up to pat Mingi's fluffy, wavy hair. "Can you say 'I like you' to him?"
"Yeah?"
"That's perfect. It's all he needs to know before asking you on a date," Wooyoung assured.
"That easy?" Mingi whispered.
"I live with the guy. When it's just us, he likes to comment on whatever cute thing you did that day. Trust me. And if it goes wrong, he's out of my apartment. Okay?"
Mingi laughed. "Woo, don't do that~!"
Returning to breakfast, San noticed that when he met Mingi's eyes, the boy's face filled with a soft tint of red. Cute.
The breakfast was similar to many of the recent meets. What came different was the end, as everyone returned to their cars. They bid each other goodbye and started in different directions.
Mingi stopped in his pace. He breathed in, turned, then shouted out, "San!"
"Huh?" He walked towards Mingi.
"I like you."
"O-Oh?" The question caught San off-guard. Mingi nervously fidgeted with his fingers, waiting for the answer.
"Heh, I like you too, Mingi. Are you free tomorrow for dinner?"
San witnessed Mingi's eyes light up the way he loved to see, and never before has he heard such an adorable 'Yes' followed by a sweet adlib. Nothing made him happier than seeing the male full of such joy.
Call him whipped, but everyone would be as broken as he was at that moment.
Mingi happily ate from his plate with San. Everything was normal, as their close relationship didn't bring any awkwardness after the confession. They sat at an expensive hotel restaurant San chose.
'You have to stay the night," Seonghwa taunted.
Mingi blushed and covered his cheeks. 'W-What?"
'You know what we mean,' Wooyoung added with a grin. Their friend only curled himself into a ball and shook his head.
'Aw. Mingi's just so soft,' they said with smiles.
"Are you thinking of seconds?" San playfully asked. Mingi snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head.
"Oh. No... I was just wondering."
"About?" San leaned closer. Mingi gulped.
"Did you book a room?"
"A room?" Now it was time for San to get all flustered. "Y-You'd you stay?"
"I mean," Mingi felt himself die inside from embarrassment. "Yeah."
"Alright. I'll get the best view for us."
The luxurious rented room looked even better than the receptionist described it. Mingi's eyes sparkled upon seeing the large, tinted window overlooking the city night lights. The cars looked like toys as they resided on the sixteenth floor.
Mingi noticed San approaching him in the reflection. He turned to meet him.
It all felt surreal the moment their lips met. Mingi fell into San's plush lips and enjoyed the man's hands on his waist. It made him feel secure. He could trust him.
Mingi fell on his back onto the bed with a soft thud. The thin gold-colored sheets made him envision laying in a bath of gold. He felt special, to say the least. And he liked it so much.
San laughed after trapping the boy in between him with his hands. He, too, wanted to go soft. So he dipped down to kiss different areas of Mingi's facial features as much as he could until the younger whined.
"Can I take this off?"
"You can take everything off."
"Oh?" They laughed, and San undid Mingi's clothing, slowly removing them piece by piece.
"S-San... I'm kind of—"
"Shy?" Mingi nodded. "I'll join you, then."
Well, now the younger was shy for a different reason. He didn't expect San to... shamelessly strip like that...
Things picked up quickly after that. San grunted in their kiss when Mingi ran his hand over his chest. Just their bodies against each other were enough to provoke a reaction. Mingi came to lick San's fingers so the man could stretch him.
The submissive shut his eyes to endure the scary feeling. San took his hand into his own and squeezed. His number one priority was to make sure his date was alright.
"Can I add more?" San whispered as he pressed his forehead against Mingi's. The latter nodded. Little by little, Mingi got used to the feeling and begged for more — San's dick.
But something made him gasp. "Really?"
San only laughed.
"I felt so embarrassed asking, and you—" Mingi glared and turned the other way as San slipped on a condom.
"Don't be mad at me, baby," San jutted his lips and pressed them upon Mingi's spotless neck.
"Nghh..."
"Does it hurt?" San tried to keep his panic unnoticed. "I can pull out if you—"
"No, I'll get used to it. Keep going." Mingi muttered. San pushed in just about all the way. He rolled his hips tightly against the younger to not cause much movement.
"San~" Mingi struggled to contain the pleasure itching to climb out his throat.
"I know, baby. Keep going. It'll all feel better soon." The two kissed as San increased his speed.
Mingi purred lowly once the rhythm got going. Full of bliss, he threw his arms over his head and arched his back.
San's hand squeezed Mingi's thick thigh while angling himself a little different. Mingi enjoyed that, pleading for him to go faster. Faster until his heart and stomach did a flip.
"S-San! Right there!" Mingi moaned loudly. His lungs gasped for air in the enclosed space they created.
"Can you cum, baby? Can you?" San panted. Beads of sweat formed on his neck and collarbone. What a sight for only Mingi to observe...
Mingi's body shook as he let go. Their climaxes met together as they groaned. Still in him, San couldn't back away from Mingi's aura and body. Neither could his hands, soothing the man everywhere he could.
"Can you sit up?" San whispered.
"Maybe. Why?"
"I need to wash you up."
Mingi groaned in exhaustion.
"There's a bath~," San sang in a soft tone.
"Really?"
"You'll love it. I asked for bubbles."
"Take me."
San laughed as he pulled Mingi, the best he could, up and towards the bathroom. The pair stumbled their way into the bathroom, where they spent another hour or two tossing each other pink, foamy soap and blowing bubbles — love and laughter being their only language.
soft mingi hits different..
