When the movie credits began to roll and the theater's lights gradually turned back on, mumbled chatter softly blurred into one as everyone began collecting their belongings before making their way out of the theater; the scent of buttered popcorn and sweets prominently lingering in the air of the dimly lit hall which Taehyung and you now walked down side by side, eventually coming to a halt a bit off to the side and somewhat away from the crowds where you casually proceeded to lean against the wall while happily chatting about the movie you just had watched together with him— though in the midst of the conversation, you couldn't help but secretly admire how the blue and purple toned led light fixtures which were installed in these halls to create a cool ambiance in here, cast a mesmerizing effect on the olders handsome features, impossibly making him look all the more attractive while he stood in front of you like this.

You didn't even realize how you accidentally had ended up completely zoning out from the conversation until a hand carefully was waved right in front of your face, now snapping you back to reality and to the realization that the older now had moved a tinge closer— his hand casually resting on the wall beside your head as support while he slightly towered over you, prompting you to nervously gulp and stutter a meek ''S-sorry what were you saying?'' which instantly earned an amused chuckle out of the older.

Taehyung: I was just saying how I seriously didn't expect the plot twist there towards the end, but that I also love how perfectly it ended up tying everything together. Don't you agree?

Jungkook: R-right, of course! Same here, it also seemed like they were hinting at a sequel there at the end which would be so cool to see!

A fond smile lingered on his lips as he nodded in agreement while reaching over to gently pat your head, humming softly as he seemed to think for a moment before finally taking a step back as he checked the time on his watch— thus allowing you to somewhat regain your composure and at least make an attempt to hide how flustered you felt; assuming he hadn't noticed already.

Considering the movie had been quite a late screening, the two of you ended up agreeing to grab dinner together beforehand, which to be fair seems logical, yet still certainly ended up feeling like a subtle effort of extending your time spent together. Though despite that, now that it technically would've been the time to go home, it quickly became evident that neither of you felt ready to call it a night just yet as you were stood semi-awkwardly fidgeting on the spot until you both simply couldn't help but burst into a small fit of amused laughter.

Jungkook: Alright this is silly, clearly neither of us feel like parting ways just yet— how about we go grab a drink together?

Taehyung: Sounds like an excellent idea, if my memory serves me correctly then there's quite a cozy bar just one block away from here.

It was hard to hide the way your eyes lit up in a mixture of relief and excitement as you nodded enthusiastically, uttering a bubbly ''Lead the way!'' which instantly earned another warm chuckle out of the older who appeared to be just as excited about the new plans.

Upon entering the bar and leaving your jackets at the entrance, you immediately felt Taehyung's hand gently grab your own in order to lead you through the crowd and over towards the bar area— giddy smiles already firmly plastered on your lips as you both briefly eyed the drinks menu before the older stepped up and ordered for the two of you. With the freshly made cocktails in hand, you both settled down at an available table a tinge off to the side, happily giggling amongst yourselves while enjoying the drinks and good conversation with the occasional playful banter— banter which seemed to thread the line of subtle flirting more than usual, but perhaps that was just your now faintly intoxicated brain assuming things.

Nevertheless, after a second round of drinks and another hour or so of merely just letting conversation flow smoothly, Taehyung somehow managed to convince you to join him on the dance floor. Although you had felt hesitant and borderline awkward following him into the midst of the crowds at first, it didn't take long before you grew surprisingly comfortable thanks to his safe presence, encouragement, and guidance, eventually making you feel confident enough to fully relax and begin swaying along to the upbeat tunes— audibly giggling and wholeheartedly enjoying yourself as Taehyung and you effortlessly just clicked while dancing together.

However, when the upbeat tune gradually toned down and skillfully transitioned into an all too familiar melody, your eyes immediately shot over to Taehyung's equally as surprised ones.

Jungkook: Wait a minute, this is...

Taehyung: ...Our song.

A fond grin spread on his lips as he held out his hand in such a gentlemanly manner while uttering a soft ''May I?'', to which you happily accepted with a warm giggle bubbling past your lips. Allowing him to guide your arms to gently wrap around his neck before letting his hands trail down your frame and smoothly settle at the curve of your waist where they just seemed to fit oh so perfectly; bodies once again effortlessly beginning to sway together in such a magical way while warm smiles permanently remained etched on both his and your own lips— momentarily seeming to forget that you were in a bar full of people as all you could focus on right here at this moment was Taehyung, the intoxicating scent of his cologne which by now undoubtedly must've begun to rub off on you while his body pressed against your own in such an innocently intimate manner, and how there was no way he couldn't feel just how fast your heart was beating right now.

There was something so comforting about being in his arms while gently swaying together in this way surrounded by neon lights, as if nothing else but the two of you mattered right at this moment while you looked into each other's eyes so tenderly.

Jungkook: I always wished there'd be a lifetime where we could dance together just like this— one where instead of passing right through a mere cold breeze at the slightest misstep, there'd instead be the safety and warmth of a physical presence there to catch me.

A soothing hum left the olders lips as you carefully allowed your head to rest against his chest, smiling softly upon both hearing and feeling how his heart beat just as rapidly as your own, although his tone of voice remained just as calm and comforting as ever when whispered into your ear.

Taehyung: And so how does it feel now that it's real— is it anything like what you had imagined?

Without hesitation, you shook your head slowly before uttering a surprisingly confident ''No, it's better.'' which instantly earned a fond chuckle from the older whom reached up to gently thread his fingers through the back of your hair.

Taehyung: I'm glad, because this is certainly a tradition I hope we can do a lot from now on.

This earned a pleased hum out of you as a content smile lingered on your lips, internally wishing this moment would last forever— though alas, everything comes to an end eventually as the song faded out and smoothly transitioned over to another one a tinge more upbeat again, thus making the two of you slowly pull away from one another. The taller then flashed you a soft grin while uttering a ''Come on, let's get out of here.'' before ever so gently grabbing ahold of your hand, carefully leading you away from the crowds on the dance floor and towards the exit where you both collected your jackets and headed out.

Immediately upon stepping outside, the two of you were greeted by the chilly evening breeze and distant buzz of traffic. Time seemed to have just flown by in there as it already was nearing 2am, though neither of you could care less as you ended up just mindlessly walking together— occasionally bumping shoulders and snickering softly while doing so.

Taehyung: I'll walk you home and then call myself an uber, is that alright with you?

Jungkook: Of course it is, but you really don't have to do that hyung— I can find my way home on my own you know.

His breath formed a faint cloud in the air as he chuckled softly, once again nudging your shoulder gently as he uttered a determined ''Oh please, I know you're a strong independent man, but I still insist.'' which earned a warm giggle out of you in addition to an appreciative nod of approval.

Since the walk home originally wouldn't have been a long one, the two of you wordlessly ended up agreeing on taking a small detour once you got close enough to home, a spontaneous late-night stroll through the park if you will; mutually mumbling something about exercise and fresh air as an excuse to why the previously short route suddenly had extended this way.

Much to your excitement, this little detour ended up being the very reason you two just so happened to witness the first snow of the year together— eyes instantly widening in pleasant surprise at the sight of pretty little specks of snow slowly but surely trickling down from the sky, sparkling beautifully thanks to the warm toned street lights surrounding you two in this otherwise dark night.

Not wanting to waste time, you swiftly turned to face Taehyung with a hint of child-like giddiness, gently tugging at his coat's sleeve while uttering an excited ''It's the first snow, we should make a wish!''— instantly prompting a fond chuckle to make its way past the olders lips whom then nodded encouragingly before appearing to somewhat follow your lead. So you turned to glance up towards the sky once more whilst clasping your hands together and lastly closing your eyes; thinking hard and carefully about what you wanted to wish for, yet quickly discovering how there seemingly only was one thing that your mind kept on trailing back to, one thing which your heart yearned for the most right now.

When you eventually allowed your eyes to flutter open and hands to find their way back into the warmth of your coat's pockets, you slowly turned to glance up at Taehyung, only to discover that he already had finished his wish and now was stood waiting for you to finish your own with such a fond glimmer in his eyes. A comfortable silence momentarily lingered in the air between you two while you exchanged soft grins with one another, and after a while, he took a step closer in order to gently nudge your side teasingly.

Taehyung: So, what did you wish for?

A subtle pink instantly flushed onto your cheeks as you timidly looked away from his curious deep brown orbs, instead now continuing to admire the pretty specs of snow which already had begun to leave a thin glimmering coat of white onto its surroundings.

Jungkook: ...If I say it then my wish won't come true, you know?

A quiet ''Oh, you're right...'' left the olders lips as he nodded in acknowledgment, humming softly to himself before eventually glancing over at you once more whilst opening his mouth to say something— only to have his eyes seemingly lock on on something as he uttered a soft ''Wait, you've got a little...'' before stepping in closer and carefully raising his hand to gently brush off some snow that had begun to gather on your hair. You turned to face him more in order to make it easier for him with a grateful glint in your doe eyes, smiling softly as he let out a content ''There you go, all gone— for now at least.'' when he was done before meeting your eyes as a tender smile found its way onto his lips.

Though instead of retracting his hand, he very carefully let it slide down to caress your warm cheek instead; a touch which you instinctively leaned into in spite of how rapidly your heart currently was beating, gaze softening even more as you felt your entire body grow flustered and gooey from his touch.

Taehyung: H-Hi...

Jungkook: Hi...

Breathy giggles were shared between you both as he kept on tenderly caressing your cheek while your hands automatically reached over to hold onto his jacket; neither of you making any effort to move away, and on the contrary, challenging the distance by leaning in a tinge closer.

Taehyung: Maybe we don't have to say anything after all... Something tells me, we may have wished for the same thing.

A timid smile formed on your lips as you hummed softly, ignoring how evident the blush on your cheeks must've been as you briefly let your eyes trail down to his lip and back up before whispering a sort of challenging ''Yeah? Prove it then, see if you're right...'', which was all it took for him to wrap an arm around your waist and finally lean down to close the remaining distance between you two— lips connecting into a sweet and heartfelt kiss which instantly sent pleasant shivers throughout your body.

Everything just felt so incredibly right as your arms slowly reached up and wrapped around his neck, fingers carefully tangling themselves into his soft locks as the two of you innocently moved in sync while safely embracing one another in the tenderest ways, enjoying the overwhelming warmth, love, and relief coursing through this long-awaited exchange.

After eventually pulling away from the kiss with warm breaths now forming faint clouds in the crisp air, the two of you leaned your foreheads against one another whilst giggling softly amongst yourselves in a mixture of joy and disbelief at what finally just had happened.

Taehyung: So, was my guess right?

Another breathy giggle left your lips as you whispered a soft ''You read my mind.'' before leaning up and connecting your lips into yet another kiss which he more than happily returned.
