It all still felt so indescribably strange somehow, adjusting to the amount of free time which came as a result of only having one job with a much more sensible work schedule; much unlike the jumbled mess of three you had grown so accustomed to for who knows how long now.
In a sense one could even say the positive change surprisingly had felt a tad overwhelming at first, naturally not knowing what to do with all the free time thus partially serving as a reason why you spent such an arguably exaggerated amount of time on research during your sick leave. Yet now that you were back into a more healthy work-life balance and routine, it all felt far less daunting— instead being able to properly appreciate the opportunity to do more than just occupy your daily life with work from dawn til dusk; finally having time to not only make plans with friends and loved ones, but also properly find a part of yourself again which had been lost along the way.
Today was one of those days, where you got to enjoy the comfort of sleeping in and waking up to the bright daylight which had been seeping in through the sheer curtains of the apartment's floor-to-ceiling windows; promptly upon coming downstairs being encouraged by ghostie to recreate this fancy-looking breakfast bowl which he had seen you like and scroll past on social media some days ago— which for the record turned out absolutely delicious, and later getting some chores done around the place whilst humming along to the tunes of your favorite music playing in the background, followed by a pleasant shower to freshen up after a pleasantly productive start of today.
Days like these used to feel like an unreachable luxury, and frankly it was still a bit hard to process that you no longer found yourself in the dark depths of uncertainty and hopelessness— though thanks to both your brothers and friends' help, it finally felt like you were reaching the light at the end of a dark tunnel you had been blindly walking through for so long. That is of course not to say your finances were anything to brag about at the moment (because they certainly were not), but all you ever wanted was to feel moderately comfortable, and that's exactly what you did now; no more electricity being cut off from unpaid bills, torturous cold showers, choosing between and putting items back when grocery shopping, or those darned past expiration date microwaveable meals.
A sigh of relief immediately emitted past your lips as you quickly headed up to the loft area and plopped down into bed, getting comfortable amongst the soft sheets and pillows before pulling out your phone to scroll through any potential missed notifications and so forth— enjoying your time alone considering ghostie whom typically was attached to you like glue actually had gone out to wander the streets by himself for a bit, presumably hoping to get a head start in this new-ish investigation tactic.
Nevertheless, considering how nothing particularly interesting seemed to be happening on social media, you quickly decided to resume reading a webcomic that you had stumbled across some weeks ago— so far enjoying its art style and intriguing storyline which had readers such as yourself eagerly reading chapter after chapter to see what would happen next.
So far the story mostly had you giggling and kicking your feet lightly with excitement for the main characters, or occasionally anxiously gripping at the device tighter whilst reading on with suspense or even frustration at certain scenes— though when the mood of one of the story's most recent chapters took a gradual heated turn between the characters, you couldn't help but fidget uncomfortably whilst reading on; cheeks gradually flushing a subtle flustered pink at the scenes skillfully depicted on the screen which involuntarily caused your body to react as if it were happening to you.
An audible groan soon escaped past your lips as you mumbled out a faint ''Fucking hell...'' under your breath, eyeing the visible tent that had begun to form in your pants before huffing and uncomfortably shifting once more.
Despite trying to ignore the body's natural reaction in the hopes of it eventually calming down on its own when the story moved past the heated part, to your disappointment, the uncomfortable pent-up frustration seemingly had no plans of fading anytime soon— earning a groaned out ''How stupidly pent up can you be...'' before carefully listening to ensure Taehyung hadn't come back home yet.
Upon making sure the coast was clear, you slowly began removing the pieces of garment in the way, a hitched breath instantly escaping past your lips when your cold fingertips first made contact with the sensitive skin of your lower stomach before slowly trailing down further until your fingers wrapped themselves around your member to hesitantly begin helping yourself.
Jungkook: A-Ah fuck—...
Head soon lulling backwards at the pleasurable friction while your breathing gradually grew more hitched and labored, a few faint whimpers and muffled moans occasionally escaping past your lips whilst enjoying the surges of pleasure each movement brought and eventually quickening the pace slightly— cursing softly under your breath as your back arched subtly once a familiar overwhelming heat finally pooled at the pit of your stomach, helping yourself through the high before the room filled with more of the sounds of your soft pants.
Though just then, the stairs to the loft creaked lightly as a certain male calmly came stomping upstairs, instantly making you scurry to cover yourself up with the comforter while he leaned against the stairs railing— feigning innocence yet being betrayed by the knowing grin currently tugging at his lips as he eyed your current state which consisted of glossy bitten lips and deeply flushed cheeks.
Taehyung: I heard some sounds coming from up here just now, thought you were having a nightmare so I came to check but... I suppose I interrupted something else hm?
An embarrassed whine left your lips as you swiftly threw a pillow at the male in question, only for it to unsurprisingly go right through the unfazed entity whom remained stood perfectly still with that same smirk lingering on his lips, thus earning a groan out of you while you hugged the comforter tighter.
Jungkook: At least have the common decency to leave, don't just continue standing there like a pervert ghostie!
Taehyung: So I did interrupt something—
You swiftly grumbled out a mortified ''S-shut up!'' before reaching for a second pillow to throw, earning an amused chuckle from the entity whom defeatedly put his hands up whilst uttering out a reassuring ''Alright alright, chill out— I'll head back down so you can finish in peace.'', only making the blush on your cheeks grow impossibly darker.
Jungkook: Kim Taehyung!
The entity merely waved and turned around to head back downstairs, though for a split second, you could've sworn there was what appeared to be a subtle blush dusting over the semi-transparent male's features.
