SABINA's POV

The next day, I went back to work and Xzavier did the same. Even though I wanted to use the other car that I've been using since we moved in together, he insisted for us to use one car because he wanted to be with me as much as he could which honestly made me giddy.

"Xzav, we already talked about this. It's better for us to hide our relationship for now. After a couple of months, we'll eventually tell everyone but for now, we should wait until I settle down. I mean, I'm just a newbie in CXM."

He huffed. "That's ridiculous. Why do we need to do that? I don't give a damn about what other people say. You're mine and I want everyone to know that."

"Xzav, I feel the same but I don't want everyone to say that I managed to get the job because of you."

"We know that that's not true. You got the job because you deserved it."

"Yes, but—"

"—Are you ashamed of me?" My jaw slacked open upon hearing his question.

"Where the heck did you get that idea?"

"Because you seem like you're not proud that we're together." I reached for his muscled arm and patiently answer his question.

"Of course not. You know how much I love you."

"Then, why do you sound like you're not? Don't tell me, you mind if people judged us unfairly because they don't know our story?" I chewed on my lower lip and then sighed.

"Okay. I'll be honest with you. It's true that I don't want to be judged by the other employees but at the same time, I don't want to strain your reputation also."

His eyebrows scrunched and then stopped the car on the shoulder of the road before facing me unsmilingly. "What are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about. You're rich. You own a lot of business including CXM which is one of the biggest companies in the world while me on the other hand has nothing. I'm just a normal person without anything that I could be proud of. I'm—"

"—That's enough. Don't ever say that again." His tone was stern and slightly angry. He placed a finger under my chin and made me look at him.

"Don't ever say that about yourself again. I don't want to hear you underestimating yourself like that ever again. Yes, you're not rich but so what? I've never cared about that anyway. You're the most amazing woman I've ever laid my eyes on and in a sea of women, I will still find and choose you over and over again no matter how many times I need to decide. You're the only woman for me and no matter where I am, I want you to be there, standing by my side."

"Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." I kissed his cheek and looked into his eyes with puppy dog eyes, feeling guilty.

"You should be." He even folded his arms across his chest which made me chuckle. "I'm more than proud that your mine and yet, you seem to be the opposite when it comes to me."

"You know that it's not like that." I sighed in defeat. "Okay, I agree but let's wait for at least a month. And that's final."

"But—"

"—One month or never?"

"C'mon, Ina. You're not being fair. I hate that I can't be with you whenever I want to in CXM just because you want to avoid any gossip."

"Xzav, we go to CXM because we need to work. We should concentrate on our daily tasks in the company. You're the CEO. You should know better." I reprimanded him and he looked frustrated.

"Ina, we have break times and—"

"—My decision is final, Mr. Montaño. C'mon, let's just go. We're already running late." Even though he looked displeased, he couldn't do anything but to oblige.

When we arrived at CXM, we parked in the underground VIP parking. He held my hand while we were walking towards the elevator and since no one was there, I let him do what he pleases.

We stepped into the elevator and when the doors closed, he snaked an arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"I thought, we agreed to wait for a month?" I reminded him with an arched eyebrow.

"As far as I remember, we're lovers. We're alone here so this is not counted." I shook my head. He really has answers to everything.

"You look great in your corporate uniform by the way." He complimented and then pressed which floor we were going.

"I thought, you would never notice." It was my first time wearing my uniform. A maroon pantsuit that I paired with the same color of stilettos.

"Of course, I noticed. You're so sexy wearing it. It actually shows your perfect curves." My eyes widened when his hand caressed its way to my derrière and shamelessly squeezed it.

"Xzav—" I was about to reprimand him when his lips sealed mine fervently. I groaned in protest but he quickly deepened the kiss and just like that, my senses went reeling. My legs turned into jelly that I had to hold onto him so that I wouldn't fall on my knees.

My lips moved automatically, mimicking his movements. Our hands were already busy doing their own exploration and the temperature in the elevator increased considerably. The kiss was so hot and overwhelming and it almost made me forget where we were until the door suddenly opened and we abruptly pulled away from each other.

I combed my trembling fingers through my hair as several people entered the elevator. I looked at Xzavier from the corner of my eyes and he was smirking merrily.

"Good morning, sir." Everyone greeted him and he greeted them back. When the elevator doors closed, everyone was quiet when a gasp escaped my lips as I felt his naughty hand gently kneading my butt. Everyone looked at me with a scowl and I smiled artificially.

"I'm fine. No worries." I pinched Xzavier's back as revenge for what he'd done and he cleared his throat, acting like he wasn't feeling anything.

When everyone's eyes were no longer fixed on me, I glared at Xzavier who looked so happy of what he had accomplished.

When I reached my floor, I discreetly gave him a sneer before stepping out of the elevator. He looked like he wanted to say something before I went out but because of my sharp glare, he stopped. I shook my head in disbelief. He's such a horny man!

Upon arriving in the office, Sandra and Vivian greeted me.

"What happened to you? We thought, you already quit or something." It was Vivian.

I laughed. "Of course not. I needed to take a day off because I wasn't feeling well."

"Hmm. Be careful, girl. There were employees here before who got sacked because they didn't come to work for several days for reasons like that."

"Bianca is right, Sabina. You're just a newbie here so avoid doing this again." Vivian added and nodded my head.

"I'll remember that. Thank you." They joined me as I walked towards my own table.

"Anyway, someone is waiting for you. She's been here for 10 minutes already." My eyebrows furrowed. I wasn't expecting someone.

"Who is it?" That was when I saw Akira talking to one of my co-workers in the accounting department.

"Akira?" Upon hearing me, she came up to me with a smile.

"I'm glad you're already okay, Sabina. You had me worried, you know." I chuckled.

"I'm feeling better now, Akira. Anyway, why are you here?"

"I'm here because I wanted to see you. I was worried, you know. I thought, you already quit or something." I smiled and held her hand.

"There's nothing to be worried about and I'm not going to quit. I just started this job and quitting never occurred to me. Now, go to your floor before you get late." She smiled.

"I'm glad to hear that. See you later then." She then exited the office.

"Is she lesbian or something?" Bianca remarked and I scowled at her.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well, she looks like she's into you." I couldn't hold back my laugh.

"Akira is not a lesbian for sure. She's just worried about me. We're getting along well and I can say that she's a good person."

"Well, if she's not a lesbian, then she must be very friendly then. I mean, you two just met recently and she acts like this already." Vivian commented.

"Oh, c'mon, you guys. Don't give any meaning to her actions. I'm sure, she means well." They shrugged their shoulders and shortly after that, we were busy with our own works.

It was almost lunch break when I received a text from Xzavier.

'Let's eat lunch together. -Your Xzav'

I looked at the mountain of work on my desk and sighed before replying.

'Sorry, Xzav, but looks like I'm not going to eat lunch. I'll just have some snack here in the office. I have to finish a lot of piled up work today. -Your Ina'

He didn't reply so I continued my work.

"Hey, Sabina. What are you still doing? It's already lunch break." Vivian said. They were ready to go to the cafeteria.

"Sorry but I can't join you guys for lunch today. I'll just eat here because I need to finish all these." I answered, referring to my loads of work.

"Okay, then. See you later." It was Bianca. After they exited the office, I was left alone. I sighed and continued what I was doing. Thankfully, I made sandwich. I'll just eat it later, I thought.

I was so engrossed on what I was doing when I heard the opened door being closed.

I looked at it with scrunched eyebrows just to gape in surprise upon seeing Xzavier, holding some takeaway.

"What are you doing here?" He smirked boyishly while sauntering towards me.

"Well, you didn't want to join me for lunch so I decided to join you here instead. C'mon, I brought our lunch." He then brought out everything from the takeaway bags and placed it on top of my desk.

I suddenly felt my hunger kick in when I saw that he actually ordered Indian foods and they looked mouth-watering.

"You didn't have to do this. I know that you always prefer to go to the restaurant to eat your lunch."

"Yes, but it's different now because you're here with me."

"Aw. My Xzav is such a sweet-tongued guy."

His lips curved with a seductive smile. "Only to you, my Ina." I fought the urge to smile.

"Thank you but I think, I'm not hungry yet. You—" Whatever I wanted to say was cut off when my stomach grumbled. He laughed heartily.

"You're such a bad liar, you know that?" He gently poked the tip of my nose with the tip of his forefinger. "Just thank your boyfriend, will you?" He then winked at me. I blushed. My body was a traitor.

I looked at the door worriedly.

"What if everyone comes back? We need to finish eating before they see you here."

"So what if they saw me here?"

"Xzav! We already talked about this!" I couldn't help but to get irritated. He sighed, surrendering.

"Don't worry, okay? I locked the door. C'mon, eat up. I'm so hungry already." He said that but he didn't eat anything until I began eating first.

"So, how's your day? Looks like you've been so busy." He asked while we were in the middle of eating.

"Well, I was absent yesterday so it's just understandable that my work has been piled up."

"You can bring it home if you can't finish it today." He suggested.

"And Mr. Liang will get mad at me." I responded, referring to my superior.

"And I'll get mad at Mr. Liang if he scolds you."

"Which is not going to happen because we agreed to wait for at least a month before showing that we're together." His lips pressed together, clearly unhappy about it. I heaved a sigh, feeling guilty.

"Xzav, please. Don't get mad at me. This is only temporary, okay?" He gazed at me and when he noticed my sad expression, his face softened.

"Fine. I didn't say anything."

My face brightened and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you. You're the best." He finally smiled and gave me a peck on the lips.

"You should be thankful that I love you so much. You're the only woman I allow to change my decision like this." I beamed at him sweetly.

"I love you."

"And I love you." We shared another passionate kiss before we continued eating. Days went by so quickly and my situation at CXM became better with each passing day. My friendship with Akira quickly blossomed beautifully.

I didn't expect to have a friend like her that I could connect to. After Sammy's tragic passing, I've never had any girl friends until now and it actually made me remember about my times with Sammy. The feeling was almost similar in a way.

"Hey. Good morning, my Ina. Are you going somewhere?" Xzavier asked one morning when he woke up and found me in front of the vanity mirror, doing my make up. He kissed my exposed nape and then my cheek. I couldn't help but to ogle at him seeing his reflection in the mirror, still topless with a messy hair.

"I told you last night that Akira and I had plans today."

"No, you didn't." I rolled my eyes, quickly finished applying the last touch of my make up before facing him.

"I told you while we were making love." He groaned, smoothing his messy hair with his hand.

"I forgot because all I could think about was worshiping you. In fact, I didn't understand a word of what you said. It's Saturday today and I was hoping that we could go somewhere together." I could hear the disappointment in his voice.

"Sorry, Xzav. I already gave my word to Akira. Don't worry, tomorrow after mass, I'll be yours." I looked at my wristwatch. "Oops, I'm already late. I need to go. See you tonight."

"Tonight? And you're planning on making me wait until tonight?" He asked in disbelief. I smiled, cupped his face and kissed him tenderly on the lips.

"I'll make it up to you tomorrow. I love you." I snatched my bag from the top of the bed and exited our room. I couldn't help but to chuckle. Looked like Xzavier didn't like Akira that much. Well because of the fact that he needed to share my attention with her. That was according to him.

I shook my head full of amusement.
