Seungmin smiled at Minho and his heart melted by just seeing his smile.
( Don't you DARE SAY THAT SEUNGMIN'S SMILE IS BAD!!!!! I WILL BREAK YOUR BONES ONE BY ONE!!!! NOW SAY THAT HE IS CUTE!!!)
Lee know came and both of them were in front of the हवन .
(हवन {Havan} means the fire in the marriage)
Pandit Jung Hoseok was there.
Pandit Hoseok: Now let's start!
(Now, I will only write some of the steps which are done in an Indian marriage because if you see, different regions and religions have a specific type of methods and believes which they follow. The following procedures which is written maybe done in a different way in other regions)
Hoseok started reciting some verses. When he ended, he said-
Hoseok: Now, let's start the Saptapadi.
( the crucial ritual. The term means 'seven steps', with each step corresponding (in the Long Form) to a pair of vows: groom to the bride, and bride to groom. The vows are pronounced in Sanskrit)
Hoseok: First, the groom will take the bride's hand and start circling the holy fire. You have to take 7 rounds and make 7 wishes.
Hyunjin came and tied both of the shawls on Minho and Seungmin's shoulders.
They both got up and started making 7 rounds around the fire.
Lee know: Psst! What wishes should we make? I don't know any of the vows!
Seungmin: Well, I know the important ones which I have to make. Can you promise me the same vows?
Lee know: Uhm.... Ok.
(The ones in brackets are just the info. He doesn't speak those lines)
Seungmin: The 1st vow, I will provide welfare and happiness for you and the children that we bear and you shall help me whenever I need.
(The vow beckons the willingness of both the partners to bring prosperity in their lives; each is agreeing to fulfil their respective role.)
The 2nd vow, we will protect our children and home and promise to stand with me, with my strength and happiness.
(The second vow is where the couple seeks union on emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Since they will be partners, they seek strength for protecting each other through all phases of life.)
The 3rd vow, I hope for a wealthy and prosperous future for both of them and their children and we be loyal to each other.
( The third sacred vow of Hindu wedding is where the bride and the groom pray together for wealth and prosperity and promises to fulfil their spiritual obligations. They also seek blessings for the ability to educate their children and look after all their needs. The vow beckons physical and spiritual loyalty of the bride and groom towards each other throughout their lives.)
The 4th vow, you made my life complete and I promise to respect you. I hope our children are nodle and obedient. I hope that me and you live a long life.
(The fourth vow of the Hindu wedding ritual indicated the importance of a family in Indian society. The couple pledges to strengthen their family together by upholding family values. The couple also expresses gratitude towards each other as well and seeks blessings for their future progeny pray to be noble and obedient. They also vow to be responsible parents to the children and provide them with education and correct upbringing.)
The 5th vow, I call you my best friend and a well-wisher. I thank you and May god bless you. I will love and cherish to my whole life. Your happiness and sorrow are my happiness and sorrow.
(The fifth vow of the wedding beckons the importance of loyalty and dependency on each other. The groom expresses his gratitude and calls the bride his best friend, whereas, the bride, in return, promises to love and cherish their relationship forever.)
The 6th vow, Now that you have taken six steps with me and I am delighted. Would you promise to fill my heart with the same happiness for the lifetime? My answer to this is yes.
( The sixth vow gives the groom the opportunity to tell his bride the depth of his happiness to be able to find her. The bride affirms her affection towards the groom promises to stand by him forever. This vow also beckons the importance of health, peace, and prosperity in one’s life.)
The 7th and last vow, we are now together, and now we will stay together for eternity. God being the witness, I am your husband and I will cherish and honour you for ever.
( The final vow that beckons the completion of the holy union is sealed with a pledge of being companions for life. The couple promises to stand by each other and be true in their relationship always. The oath of loyalty and the willingness to spend a life with not another human being but with a friend, are the things that make the last vow a special one.)
Lee know's eyes were about to water. He was blessed by having such a husband. In his mind, they both said those vows one by one and completed the seven rounds.
