"Welcome........ Lover boy", Vivek teased me. I ignored his comment and went to kitchen for water. I grabbed a bottle from refrigerator and fell on couch beside him. After leaving Chaitra at her place, I returned to our flat.

Siva and Vivek are still in their shorts and T-shirts. Siva is busy in packing his bag. Vivek is flipping channels in TV.  I drank some water and leaned back. I closed my eyes, Chaitra appeared in my thoughts. When I was about to leave from the dorm, she called me, at that time I saw her eyes. There was nothing in her eyes. But there was something, which I didn't understand. What's that in her eyes? At that time I didn't bother to understand it because I didn't want it. I loved that something without knowing it. But now, it was disturbing me. It is continuously flashing in my mind. 

Her mystic eyes with a spark of unknown peace. While looking into her eyes, my whole world switched off. I didn't know what's happening around me? where I was standing? what I was doing? I literally forgot myself. What filled in her tiny black eyes? Did she effect me? Yes, she did. I am very clear about that. She is effecting me more than I expected. I still have a question. Why she is effecting me? No..... She is not effecting me. I am the one who is effecting because of her. Why I have been affecting only because of her? Why? Someone patted on my arm. I opened my eyes. Vivek was looking at me with raised brows.

"What?" I asked.

"Don't you want to share about today?" he asked. 

"Why you want to know?" I raised my brow. He has very interested about Chaitra from the beginning.

"May I know why you are so interested about Chaitra? Because from the beginning you are very excited about her." I asked.

"I also observed it", Siva added.

Vivek switched off the TV and turned to my direction. "It's just... like..... I never listen from you that you are attracted to a girl. You never shared anything like this before. So... I want to know what's that special in that girl? why you are attracted? who is that girl in the original? That's it", he shrugged.

"Yeah, I also want to know what's that SPECIAL?" Siva chuckled as pressing the word special.

"I really don't know. Actually I also want to know that."

"Okay then, tell us what you know about her?"

"Umm... she is a simple girl. She is also from Vizag. She loves her family and friends. She likes black and white colours. She loves to explore. I thought she was so calm and less talkative, but no she is active and talkative. And...", I counted with my fingures.

"Please stop it," Vivek interrupted. "Do you find any thing special?"

"Nope"

"Nothing? At-least a single special thing?" Siva asked.

"Nope"

"Then what you did in past 4 hours?" Vivek dismayed. 

"Just think once. You may get at-least a single special quality that impressed you", Siva said.

"I already said, there is nothing special in her. She is just simple, good and talkative girl, that's it."

From the beginning I attracted to her smile. I knew it. But why? There is something in that pretty smile. It's very bright, pleasant and genuine. From this evening her mystic eyes added to the list. What's that secret hidden in her eyes? How much I try to distract myself, that much I get into her thought. I denied that she is special. But no, there is something special that always dragged me towards her. I didn't accept it at my friends.  

"What about her boyfriend?... I mean about her relationship status?" Vivek asked. From where he asked this questions?

"I don't know", I said. I managed to be calm and un-effected.

"Don't you ask her?"

"No"

"Why?"

"I don't care", here I lied again. I actually cares. The thought about her boyfriend making me crazy. I strongly wished that she must be single. Why I am thinking like that? 

'Ah...... Chaitra......, What have you done to me?' I muttered to myself, raised from couch and headed to my room. I could no longer handle Vivek's dangerously stupid questions. He is here just to piss me off. 'Come on Varun, just keep her side and do your work' I started my packing. Meanwhile I got a call from Vishwa. I disappointed him earlier. I behaved way too rude and selfish. But I am feeling what I did is correct. I don't expect that he can understand that. 

"Hello...... Where are you?" He asked.

"At my place"

"I just dialed to know where you are that's it", he hesitated.

"Okay....." I don't know how will he react, if I ask about Divya.

"I'm sorry for afternoon", I apologized.

"It's okay I can understand"

He said he can understand? Really? It's a sign of relief.

"Umm... What about Divya?........ I mean how....how is she?" I managed to ask.

"To be frank........ she is not fine. I don't blame you for that........ I was very....... very angry on you at afternoon. But...... later I understood...... what you did is correct. She said everything about your conversation. She explained her point of view..... But I saw your's...... when you were with that girl........ So, this time I didn't need any explanation about yours."

That's why friends are best. Vishwa is best example for that.  

"Did you say anything to Divya?.... I mean........... about Chaitra?" I hesitated.

"No, I think that's your job. You have to explain yourself."

"Yeah"

"What did YOU decide?" he pressed the word 'you'

"I didn't decide anything", I huffed. "I want to take time."

"I just..... want to know........... Are you loving her?...... I mean.......... Do you want her in you life?", he asked. I understood, he didn't want to ask, but he wanted to know. I observed hesitation in his voice.

"I'm not loving her. I can tell that for sure....... About having her in my life?........... that's too far from reality now."

"Umm..... get yourself ready. A ride is waiting for us.......... I'm telling now, you are the one driving the bike" he chuckled.

"Sure until my turn", I also chuckled. "Bye"

"I will meet you at your place after an hour"

"Okay" I cut the call.

We were 10 people and 5 bikes. Earlier we thought about 10 bikes but later we realized, it became hard to drive continuously, that to 7 days. So we decided for 5 bikes so we could manage in shifts. It saves fuel, expenses and less pollution also. 

Every morning I used to text Chaitra. A little Morning chat. Whenever I got time, I texted her. She replied immediately whenever she saw the message. Many things changed between us. We shared about our days. I learnt about her. I defined her character from the information I had. My discomfort and uneasiness at her gradually faded away. But my attraction is becoming strong day by day. I don't bother about that, may be because I like it. Still I don't know about her relationship status. Every time I wanted to ask her, but stopped. I'm not ready to accept the fact, if she has a boyfriend. I strongly believe she is single, but still not ready.

We were in western ghats. Hilly area that too winter season so it is very cool even in the afternoon. We halted for a break at small local Dabha. We wanted to try regional food, so this type of Dabhas will be best. The place is very pleasant and nature friendly. Actually it's like part of that nature. I love this place. Far from fake world. No.... world is not fake, it just balanced between real and fake, the 2 sides of a coin. May be it supposed to be like that only. Nature is always pure and exhibits aura of peace. Then Chaitra flashed in my thoughts. I checked the time. It's our lunch time in college, so I dragged out my phone and dialed her. I walked few feet away from my batch. After five rings she lifted.

"Hello", A smile curved on my face by listening her voice. 

"Hello Chaitra"

"Am I disturbing you?"

"Noo", this simple answer gave relief.

"Lunch break right? I thought you might be free. So I called you."

"I'm free.... Tell me where are you? How are you? What are you doing?....."

"Ohh.... Breath......Give me some time to answer." She is too talkative.

"Take as much as time you want." she chuckled.

"Okay. Had your lunch?" 

"Not yet.... What about you?" What she is doing without having lunch?

"I had..... Why you didn't eat?"

"Actually I came to C block with Savi. From here we will head to cafe."

"Oh okay"

"How's the day?", she asked. I was telling about my day. I listened some disturbing noises from her side.

"What's that noises?"

"I don't know. A group of boys here ........." she suddenly stopped and I heard her scream and that noises increased. After that nothing from her side. Our call went off. My heart raced. If anything happen to her? I can't even handle that thought. I redialed her but she cut my call. 'Chaitra just lift the call, what happen to you' I distressed. My nerves tensed and sweat rolled down my forehead. Vishwa came to me. I didn't even notice him. 

"Woh!...Why you are sweating in this weather? What happen?", he confused. I didn't answer him. I again dialed her, this time she lifted.

"Hello Chaitra.... Chaitra", 

"Haa Varun", my nerves relaxed after listening her voice.

"What happen to you?"

"Nothing I'm fine", she said very casually. Everything was fine for me.

"You stopped talking suddenly and I listen some roars. Is everything fine there?" 

"All good... just some boys suddenly started fight. I don't know why?" 

"Okay take care. Go and eat something. I will call you later. Bye" I wasn't in any state of talking and distressed also. So I quickly bid a bye. Who the fuck they were? Didn't they find any other place to fight? All this took away my breath.  

"I think I'm not the one who needs care. Actually that's you, so please take care of yourself", I heard her chuckles. She is always so sweet.

"Okay...." I chuckled "Bye."

"Bye."

Vishwa is still standing there. He totally confused. 

"At-least tell me now what happen?"

I gave a crazy smile and placed my hand around his shoulder and dragged him with me. He gave a worst look, from that I understood all his untold list of curses. I simply turned my head to other direction to see beautiful nature. I felt very light but something very heavy. I couldn't describe it. I didn't even know what is it?

After that everything went great. My daily routine changed a little. Chatting with Chaitra whenever I got time, newly added to my list. From Kerala we all headed to our respective homes. Vishwa and I went to my home. I introduced him to my family. My mother liked him a-lot. Rest of the 3 days we roamed the city along with my childhood friends. We had a great time. For me those 10 days were best. Today we started back to our college. First time I have a great reason to go back.
