Chapter 3
After an hour, they made it thanks to Sakuma's immense speed. Sakuma guides Konoka through the forest and toward the withering, old cabin. Despite its external appearance, it's surprisingly cozy on the inside, but the inside was also quiet, not a single sound to be heard. Nobody was there, and the walls were stained with dried crimson blood, and shredded organs decorated the eerily quiet room.
Sakuma stands idly, knowing what happened, but she tries to deny it.
"A-Are you kidding me? Where is everyone?" She says looking scared.
She stares at the carnage and tries her best to deny what she knows is true, but she fails. Her sister has passed, and there is nothing that can be done about it. Sakuma couldn't handle the overwhelming grief and collapsed in tears.
"I-I was too late; I've failed to save her." She said, succumbed to sadness.
Konoka wraps his hand around her body and embraces her, feeling bad about what she is going through, almost crying with her, but he can't, the fire in his eyes evaporates all other emotions, all but hatred, hatred for the Piranha Pack for what they did, and now, he's more determined to destroy them.
Then, the sound of ear-splitting screaming fizzles out the flames. It came from deep inside the grove the cabin lies within.
"That must be the Piranha Pack!" Konoka thinks to himself.
He looks back at Sakuma, who can't forgive herself for being too slow. The thought of destroying the Piranha Pack and seeing a smile on Sakuma's face fills him with vigor and determination, Konoka rushes into the grove to find the killers, but he left Sakuma behind...
