Chapter Twenty-Five: Until The End of Auradon

     So Hades ember?" questioned Ben.
Mal nodded, "Yes. My mother is casting a sleeping curse. Maybe she already has, but this is the only way to break it!"
Carlos sighed, "Are you sure that it will end?"
Mal shrugged, "Spells were made to be broken."
"It's not like we have any other choice, either." added Evie.
"Lead the way," said Jay.

     Mal nodded, "So. In order to set everything back to normal, I need to get Audrey back to normal, reverse the curse, and send everyone back to the Isle. Easy peasy." Ben placed a hand on her shoulder, "I believe in you Mal. I already sent Lonnie and Jane to get everyone to safety as quickly as possible. If they're in the shelter, they'll be safe before the curse even happens." Mal let out a long breath of air, "Let's just hope that the curse hasn't been cast yet. Carlos and Evie, I finished the spell that will get Audrey back to normal," she handed them a vile "Flick a pinch of this dust on her and she'll be good as new." They nodded and rushed off.

     Jay!" he nodded "I need you to make sure everyone has evacuated. And it you see any villains or even the VKs-" He punched his palm, "Bust some heads?" Mal shook her head, "No! Use this magic string. If you throw it at them it has the same effect as handcuffs and will bring them us so we can send them back. Also, keep a look out for Aria and... Uma." The guys gasped, "Uma's here... in Auradon?" Mal nodded, guiltily, "Anyways. I will go find my mother and try to stop the curse if she's already cast it."

     She was about to leave when Ben stopped her, "Woah, wait. What am I supposed to do?" Mal whirled around, "You? You get to safety with everyone else." Ben shook his head, "No way. This is my kingdom and I need to protect it!" Mal shook her head, "I know, Ben! And the best way to do that is to get to safety!" Jay backed up, awkwardly, "I'm just gonna go.. now."
"Mal, I want to help!"
She sighed, "But Ben, you need to be with everyone else! Where it's safe!"
"I said next time I would save you!"
Mal rolled her eyes, "This isn't a game, Ben!"
"I know that, but I'm going whether you like it or not! Why do you not want me to help!? Are you still mad or-"
"No!" she shouted "No... it's the opposite. I don't mind risking myself to clean up my mess, but no one in Auradon. Villains versus villains..." she chuckled "We can handle each other. Don't you trust me?"
He nodded, "Of course I do."
"And... I do love you, Ben. I'm sorry I'm a mess. Now please... go."
He kissed her forhead and started to leave, he turned around, but Mal didn't. She just stood there waiting for him to go... so he did.

     The VKs left Marissa behind and decided to go get their revenge and them commence the official take over of Auradon. "Wait... what is that?" asked Hugh, pointing. Francis and Quinn looking in the direction he mentioned and saw the smoke. "If Marissa were here she'd say, 'fire?'" Quinn joked. "But it looks like... a curse!" Hugh turned to him, "What!? What kind of curse!?" Francis stared at it for a long time, "I'm not sure... either a... sleeping curse... or a toad curse. They look the same." Quinn scoffed, "Well... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's probably a sleeping curse!"
"Well this us fantastic! How are we supposed to take over Auradon when we can't even stay here!?" Hugh yelled.
"I'll try and conjure something that will let us breath it, but it might take-"
"Wait a minute!" Quinn exclaimed "If a sleeping curse was cast by a villain then all villains AND villain KIDS can probably breath it."
"Are you sure?" Hugh asked.
"Well, I'd assume so! Any Auradon people will fall asleep, but villains and VKs should be fine." replied Quinn.
"Do you want to test that theory?" Francis mocked.
"Since it was my idea and I am a lady and a princess!" the bouys rolled their eyes "One of you two should go."
"No way!"
"Then who?"

     Just then they heard a voice calling from behind them, "Alright guys! I change my mind!" It was Marissa. All three of the VKs shared the same look and obviously, the same idea. "Okay Marissa," said Francis "you can be back in the group... IF you show an act of loyalty!" Marissa gave a dumb look, "Like what?" He pointed to the smoke, "Go in there and stay there for a minute taking deep breaths and then come out." She shrugged and said, "Okay." without blinking. Before anyone knew it she was back. "You're not asleep. So Quinn was right." said Hugh. "Of course I was! I always am! Now enough chit-chat and let's go!"

     Uma couldn't find Evie which could only mean one thing, "Blueberry princess switched back! Drat!" But she shrugged. She didn't need Evie or anyone else. Her pirate crew had already left her for their parents to go get revenge, but Uma wasn't for that. She had her own agenda. Getting back at Ben and all of Auradon! "If Evie is back, Mal is probably back too." she said to herself "Which can only mean one thing... I need to destroy her!" She took out her sword.

     That's when she saw the smoke, "Blasted sleeping curse. About to ruin all the fun! Where is everyone anyway!?" No one was in the streets, not even any villains. "Wait a second! They're hiding! That stupid Mal probably told everyone! No matter! I'll find them and make them suffer!" And with that, she was off searching for their hiding place.
