~Evil Evie~
Chapter Ten: Evil Evie
Evie texted Aria to meet her at her dorm; she said she has an outfit for her to try. When Aria told Uma about it, she got suspicious. "This is perfect!" says Uma. "What's perfect?" asked Marissa. "Evie might be onto her, but she just cornered herself." Everyone besides Marissa nodded. "I don't get it," she says, dumbly. Uma groans, "It's the perfect time to spell her, duh!" Marissa stared blankly at her.
Francis shook his head, "It doesn't matter. I'll explain it to you later. For now, Uma: you tell Aria what to do and then-" Uma cleared her throat, "Francis. I'm not dumb. I got it, so don't tell me what to do... After all, I am the leader." Francis snickered, "You're funny. But no, I am the leader."
Quinn split them up, "Stop guys. We can fight about this later, okay? Let's just hurry up and make whatever it is we need to make before Evie and the others get even more suspicious."
With a little bit of head-butting, Uma and Francis struggled to work together to get the potion right. But eventually, they formed a potion , put it in a vile, and gave it to Aria. "It's simple: You got to Evie's dorm and while she's not looking, slip it in her drink." Aria sighed nervously, "What's even guaranteed that she has a drink?" Uma rolled her eyes, "It's Evie. I'd bet on it. And if she doesn't, say you're thirsty and ask for drinks."
Aria nodded, skittishly. Deep down, she knew it was wrong, but she longed so badly to be accepted so she agreed to follow threw. Putting her glasses into place, she walked over to Evie's dorm room and knocked on the door. Evie opened it, "Aria!" she exclaimed, happily "Come on in."
Evie pointed at a chair for her to sit in, "So... today I had a new outfit I designed for you, but I just need some measurements and some input from you." Aria then questioned, "What's this for?" Evie put her hands on Aria's shoulders, "For fun, silly. I do this for all my clients."
After a while of measuring, small talk, and ideas for the outfit, Aria still hadn't spotted a drink. "Um... I'm a little thirsty, do you think that we could get something to drink?" Evie smiled, "Of course! What would you like?" Aria instantly said, "Do you have any sparkling water? It's my favorite."
They walked over to the fridge. "You're in luck, I think Doug just put this in a few days ago because we were celebrating our 3/4 mark to the castle I want to get. Since graduation is just around the corner." Evie got a glass down. "D-Don't you want some too?" Aria stuttered. Evie shook her head, "No, I'm okay." Aria felt a bead of sweat roll down her forehead, "Aw, come on, enjoy my favorite drink with me." she laughed nervously.
Evie shrugged, "Okay." she put another glass on the counter and poured some water into each of them. As she went to put the water back in the fridge, Aria quickly poured the potion into Evie's glass. The potion dissolved into the water, turning into the clear color of the water.
Evie rejoined Aria a few moments later and picked up her glass, "Cheers." she says. "Cheers," murmured Aria. They each drank the water. Aria looked intently at Evie's face to see if anything was happening. Evie looked down and then back at her, confused, "What?" she asks "Did it get on my chin?" she dabbed her chin to check. Aria shook her head, "No, no. I just thought-" Evie moved her head, waiting for her to finish her sentence. "N-Never mind, let's just get back to it."
Aria's mind was racing as thought of fear kept popping into her head. "Did I do it wrong? Did I miss something? Was there something more I was supposed to do?" she thought. But the worst fear of all was what the VKs would think when she had to tell them that she failed.
Evie set her sketch book down, "Okay, we're almost done here. I just need one more-" she nearly collapsed to the floor. Aria stood up and held her arm, "Are you alright, Evie?" She nodded, "Yeah, I just suddenly got really dizzy." Evie slid again and held her head, "What's happening?" she whispered. Aria's eyes buldged, "It's working."
Evie looked up, "What's working?" Aria smirked, "The spell." Evie shook her head weakly, "Sp-Spell." She slumped around a few more times before completely falling to the floor. A cloud of navy blue smoke formed around her. Then, she stood up, flipped her hair around, and smirked at Aria.
Evie looked completely different:
She held an apple in her right hand, but then, with a evil grin on her face, held up her right hand. There was her magic mirror. Aria gasped, "I-I thought that was in the museum." Evie shrugged, that's not the only thing you thought." Evie took a bite of the apple and then waved her hand in front of her. The lights shut off and a cauldron appeared before them. In it, was green smoke and boiling water.
Call the others," Evie instructed. Aria obeyed and soon enough, Uma, Francis, Marissa, Quinn, and Hugh joined them in Evie's dorm. "Good work, Aria." Uma chuckled "I'm impressed. Now we can use that magic and evil that was always hidden inside of Evie to finally take over Auradon. Evie curtsied and placed her hands on her hips.
Uma looked into Evie's eyes, "No one can see you anymore. You're now a part of the group." Evie shrugged, "Fine by me. Whatever needs to be done, for the end of Auradon." she laughed evily, but quiet enough so no one outside could hear. Uma pulled out Mal's spell book, I'll put a protection spell around the dorm so no one can disturb us and from now on, this is like our hide out. And everyone needs to keep it a secret."
After casting the spell, Uma folded her arms across her chest, "Hmmm..." she says "Are you up for breaking some hearts?"
