Warning: You're about be introduced to a lot of people, members from other groups, so maybe note down names haha but if you've read my therapeutic series (Lust Wears Red, Intoxicating, etc) these should be familiar.

Test Me - Melanie Martinez (Jimin's Part)

YOUTH - Troye Sivan (Jeongguk's Part)

"You have to come back Jimin. It's been four days. Even though your schedule is cleared up for the next five months, we still need to practice the choreography to better prepare."

The red wine slowly glides down Jimin's throat from the glass, soft legs crossed with the black silk robe barely grazing his mid thigh as he sits on the leather couch, watching over his own hideous performance from a month ago of this stupid competition. Everything about it is horrible; outfit, performance, make up- Fuck, let's not even get started on the execution of the show.

What a disgrace.

It could've been better if he wasn't for his partner not showing any emotion throughout the entire performance. Not only that but he also lacked any skill in regards to his pirouettes and his jumps in general- Just atrocious.

Pathetic.

Made Jimin look so pathetic.

"Jimin! Are you even listening to me?"

Taemin's voice blares at the small speaker of Jimin's phone, provoking a scowl of utter annoyance to sneer Jimin's lips as he pulls the glass away from his lips.

"Did you find me a new partner?"

"Well no-"

"Then I don't want to hear it!" He barks back in a brutal snap, "He's weak! He fucking dropped me Taemin! Either you find me someone else or forget about the damn show!"

And he hung up, throwing the phone somewhere far from his reach on the sofa. Unable to suppress his glare to the large television screen before his eyes just as he paused the clip right on the pas de deux hold, fighting back the cringe of the execution.

Everything about it was horrible.

His partner's posture, emotions on his face, Jimin's own hesitant glare in his eyes to the position knowing damn well they're not doing it correctly in front of an audience.

Humiliating.

This show was the last one Jimin had, and it was enough to leave him shaken to the very core in paranoia on finding a perfect partner.

No, this is not happening again.

He refuses to be so embarrassed like that again by some stupid idiot who can't tell the difference from his first and third position. Now by a guy who can't even carry him while he only weighed less than 125 pounds. He has to follow a very strict diet in order to keep himself light enough to be lifted for his partners, so he's actually doing a lot of work on his behalf on making it easier, but if he's working his ass off then he expects his partners to do the same as well.

Not so damn hard.

Now much more annoyed, Jimin puts his wine glass on the rustic wooden coffee table in front of him before storming to his feet to the island counter in the kitchen where the wine bottle and his pointe shoes are. He snatches the shoes and sits on the barstool to slide it on, his face determined and lips snarled as he ties the strings to his ankles before getting to his feet.

He didn't even bother putting on bandages for his toes as his blood was only fueled by rage, probably knowing in the back of his head that he will definitely regret it later, now going to stand in front of the large wall window where the long space is purposely for him to practice.

He only stares out to the city in a monotone stare, not impressed by it anymore, before getting to position and instantly let himself be taken away by the music in his head. Obviously it was a reckless move to practice without the proper warm up, but all Jimin could think about is perfection.

His performances has to be perfect, even if his stupid partners lack it; he can outshine on his own because that's what he knows what to do best.

And it will because he never fucking fails, he won't ever again.

The pills are shaking on the palm of Jeongguk's hand, staring up at his wide doe eyes while he grimaces back, taking them at the usual time he always does. Without thinking about it so much, he swallows it down and takes a large sip of water to push it down his throat. Four sips later and the pills are long gone down his stomach, waiting for them to do their job in mellowing down his anxiety episodes.

It takes time, sometimes it feels as though they don't work for shit, but Jeongguk knows the second he's out of it he'll lose focus and things won't exactly turn out in his favor. Or for the team in general, so it's not like he has a choice.

Staring at the bottle of his prescription for a moment or two longer, he puts it on the table beside his bed and stands up, going to open the door.

Immediately he's being hit with the loudness of his teammates from this large dorm, forcing a flinch to coil his facial features immediately.

Coach Jung Hoseok has advised that in order for the team to have a better potential together as a team, they should live together when the season comes by. When it comes to vacations they're able to leave and stay wherever they please, but at the end of the day this is their home for competitions or in general if they want to stay there.

It's not bad really, maybe at first there were a lot of fights here and there but after the third year it got easier somehow. Jeongguk has never gotten into problems with anyone and perhaps that's because he doesn't speak. If he does something wrong, like leaving the stove on, he will just get told to look out next time but nothing so harsh as a shout to his face.

He's the youngest of the team after all, so they're not so brutal on him. To be fair, his team has been the best family he's had since he was an orphan and didn't have a family. They even have taken it upon themselves to learn sign language in order to better communicate with him rather than having him struggle to form sentences or use a tablet.

They have grown into the habit of talkingto each other in sign language around him now because another thing he struggles with is loud noises.

His eardrums are very sensitive to loud noises, and hearing aids don't typically help when it comes to that, even if he lowers the frequency. So whenever he's around loud noises it just aches his ears horribly, so that's why he usually competes without them to not be bombarded with the cheers or the sound of the start of the race.

He's been doing this sport for years, without anyone knowing about his deafness or speech deficiency, so now he can say it's muscle memory to do his part to win.

That's what tends to happen after experience.

So Jeongguk upon hearing the loud commotion, he turns off his hearing aids and approaches the living room where he heard the noise is coming from; now hearing only faint buzzes or voices as though they're miles away.

There's a total of eight players living here, all of them Olympic athletes for either four Speed Skating events and the relay race. That's why they're together since they're the star athletes in Hoseok's program. Would make sense to keep them together to gain better chemistry.

"Everyone shut up! Jeongguk is here, voices down!"

Now that, who Jeongguk noticed sign while also exclaiming out to the group, is the captain, Kim Hongjoong; He's probably the shortest one here but he's definitely fast as hell when it comes to team speed skating, always the anchor to catch up if their team is strayed behind.

He always comes out first since he practices hard to grow faster.

Not only is he super fast but he's a good leader. He keeps everyone together and is someone easily reliable when it comes to certain issues you have and giving advice. The team loves him, specifically to throw him around because of his short height, but he doesn't really care.

Unless it really starts to piss him off, but that's usually when they catch him on a bad day.

Actually he was the one that motivated his team to learn sign language for Jeongguk, mentioning how it's important that they learn to communicate in whatever means necessary for it. Everyone listens to him since they give him a lot of respect, so he's definitely a big shot in the league.

Immediately everyone's voices toned down with a few eyes trailing to Jeongguk, who indifferently walks past the couch of aggressive players trying not to scream over Mario and Sonic Winter Olympic Games they're playing at the moment, and goes to the connected kitchen while turning on his aids.

He's not really hungry but definitely is looking for something to suit his hunger-

"Hey Bambi, catch."

Jeongguk turns around and sees a granola bar flying to his direction, instantly catching it with a twitching smile to exactly what he was looking for. When he looks up he sees one of the players sitting on the island with a friendly smile on his face, all the while eating a bowl of cereal to his lap.

This is the angel of the team, Kim Woosung.

Many people in the league refer to him as Jack Frost because of his snow white hair but also because he's an amazing starter. He sets the team up at a good pace for relay races, taking control of first place easily. They always say he connects well with the ice whenever he's out there, another reason why they give him that name.

Truth is, Jeongguk learned a lot about skating because of him. Even though he was already experienced, Woosung taught him a lot more strategies and tactics that can be helpful for his solo races. They worked well once he put that to use on the field, so he's very grateful for that.

But the real reason Woosung is referred to as the angel of the team is because out of everyone here, he's the extremely friendly teammate they have. He's not as chaotic as most, but he's extremely sweet and takes care of everyone equally. The team also takes care of him as well but he goes more far and beyond. He's never snappy or shows if he's angry, he's always so tender that just makes everyone here bust a fat crush for him -Not literally, but the point is everyone has a soft spot for him.

That's why Jeongguk's smile widens to the sight of him and signs a thank you before opening the granola bar and taking a bite out of it while going to the living room, where the real chaotic mess is.

The team is practically fighting with the air as captain Hongjoong does the snowboarding on the game, either cheering him on or making him even more nervous to try to win. He's handling himself at 2nd place well but obvious the team doesn't like second place.

Either you win or win.

That's the motto.

"For fuck sakes! Move! What are you doing- Don't go in there! YOU DUMB BITCH!"

And that right there is the personal motivator of the team, Choi Minho; He keeps the team energetic and gets really competitive during practices to make sure they're trying their best because best believe he is. He's all about sportsmanship and has been awarded for that due to his chemistry with the opposing competitors that he always seems to get along with- Even if he wants to destroy them out on the ice.

He's a great person, the only one here with a stable relationship too.

Well, so he has mentioned. Truth is Jeongguk has heard him fighting with his girlfriend over the phone a few times, but never gets himself involved in it since it's none of his business to snoop in.

Minho's a tough man, he can handle himself.

The poor captain is practically a squealing mess as he continues to play to reach first place and suddenly cheers loudly when he does, earning a wave of indoor voice cheers for Jeongguk's sake as he sits down on the sofa to watch as well.

Instant control for the remote began to become a battle, everyone equally fighting for it until it finally lands onto the aggressor of the team with a mean scowl, making the rest fumble back to sit as he chooses his event.

Ah, got to love him.

Kim Karma.

His red hair isn't the only thing that's as vibrant and intense, but also his personality. Karma is known in the team for being actual Karma, in the rink at least; Good or bad Karma. He usually skates sometime in the middle of the events but if the competition is extremely intense than he and Hongjoong would switch places because Karma will most definitely not hesitate to be first place for the first event.

Hongjoong is a safe skater, Karma isn't.

He's reckless and would make anyone end up sweating in their places because of how risky he is. He takes open opportunities or makes the opportunity to be ahead. He's aggressive to himself, almost as though he leaves a trail fire behind him every time he skates because he gets so damn angry. His anger fuels his performance and it's a massive boost that pushes him to move forward.

Now outside the rink, he's more indifferent and monotone but he does participate in any activities that the team does; While complaining the whole time. It's almost like he has a tender heart when he wants to but a very thick mindset, no one teases him about it since they knew better than to test him.

Oh and he also has a twin brother, Kim Taehyung, who's a pair figure skater. They're identical twins but the personalities are clearly.... Different. There's been a few times Jeongguk has met Taehyung personally, and he's much more tender than Karma's temperament. He's very shy but once he performs he becomes a whole new person, fierce and elegant, and from what Jeongguk's heard it's definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Everyone watches intensely as Karma chooses the ski event with his Shadow character, which pretty much suits him well. Meanwhile Minho decided to join to play multiplayer, just to spite him, and things definitely did get a bit more interesting.

Only forty five seconds into the game and the two are aggressively going at it, trying to surpass each other with loud yelps and curses to the other players that would pass by them. Hongjoong is being the motivator that he is with a hooded eye Seokjin beside him watching, who Jeongguk wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for his head peeking up from the blankets.

Kim Seokjin, the most laid back and unbothered teammate.

He's always tired, probably the one who sleeps in the most too so he's definitely well rested. He radiates confidence when he's in the team on the ice, being another anchor skater with a steady speed to keep pace during races- so best believes he really important when it comes down to it. It's probably the only time you'll ever see him interested in anything because he usually just has a monotone stare all the time.

It's not that he hides his emotions, he just doesn't care about things. He's the calm motivator when the team gets too chaotic, helping them to breathe when it gets out of hand. His voice is very calm so it suits him rather well to keep everyone relaxed all the time.

Due to the fact that he's always sleepy or laying around, everyone just loves to cuddle onto him whenever they see him because he just looks so comfortable. He doesn't mind it, since they're all friends, but he does fall asleep faster and for long periods of time while holding onto whoever is on him.

Would be nice to have that type of energy to just be cool all the time.

The front door suddenly opened just as Minho's was holding back his aggravated scream when Karma passed him, who held onto a devious smirk to his soon to be coming victory.

Jeongguk averts his eyes to the pair who entered into the dorm while closing the door behind them.

Ah, the best friends.

There's always someone in the team who are like magnets, never leaving each other's side once unless forced to by the coach.

That is Felix and Ten for you.

Ten is a solo skater, like Jeongguk but for the 500m event, and he is the snappy one out of everyone. He puts people in their place, no matter the place or time or if they're even in a bad mood.

Okay, maybe snappy isn't a good word; He's very blunt, but in a good way. He's close to zero communication with the team, he just does what he's told and gets the job done. He's that person that doesn't seem so approachable by how mad he looks most of the time, but that's just his resting face.

When he smiles, it's definitely something else since that happens once in a blue moon.

Not even with Felix does he talk so often yet they're close because they share the same love language; Physical contact. Ten speaks through pats on the back, hugs, gentle caresses on the head, things like that. But when he does talk it's always expected for something wise to come out of his mouth because he's just so.... Intelligent.

As for Felix, for skating wise, he's the all around personnel. If the coach wants him to participate in the team relay race he will or if he wants him to compete in other events then he can do that too, excelling in both areas. He practiced all his life for this and it's almost a privilege to be able to just be placed in any position and skate amazingly and accurately. He's very skilled and pretty fast, always having fun with it.

The team refers to him as the king of skating because of his previous bronze and gold medals, but he doesn't really like to show it off. He enjoys having fun and makes sure everyone does as well, just to ease off tension in the group. Sometimes during practice he would even blast music to get everyone in the mood to feel pumped.

His strategies always work.

He's the second youngest aside from Jeongguk, but damn talented.

Jeongguk looks up to him a lot for sure, even if he's a small little fluff ball of giggles and pranks like a child.

And that's the whole team, representing South Korea in the Olympics and training for long hours while participating in competitions to still keep their title at being the Jewels of Korea. They always bring something home for sure after every competition, so it's definitely exciting whenever the season starts.

Now the Olympics are over, Jeongguk taking a gold medal for his 1500m speed skating while the relay team took in a bronze, feeling proud of it either way. A few others in the team took silver or bronze for their events too, which is definitely a big deal with Felix taking in another gold.

And it's only just the beginning on what's to come ahead.

"Ten! Felix! Come over here now, you're going to miss this match!" Hongjoong hollers enthusiastically from the sofa, making sure it didn't sound too loud, bouncing a bit with his squealing smile. Seokjin rolls his eyes to the way his body moves to the motion but doesn't say anything when Felix suddenly throws his body over his to cuddle to his body.

Seokjin twitches a smile, removing his arms from under the blankets and wraps it comfortably around Felix's body like a teddy bear.

Ten sits beside Jeongguk, patting his head wordlessly before looking at the scene of Minho and Karma aggressively now pushing against each other as a source of distraction, an unpleasant frown fixing his lips, "Can you not kill one another?"

"You know how they get when they compete," Woosung's soft voice caresses the wind like an icy chill, sitting to Jeongguk's other side with a bowl refilled with cereal, "Speaking of competing, doesn't Seulgi have a skating competition tomorrow?"

Minho nearly snaps his head back when he hears the name of his girlfriend, earning a loud squeal when Karma screeches in joy when he comes out in first place, "Hell yes! Your pathetic and irrelevant ass lost to me! Ha! Karma is undefeatable!"

This perked a quiet chuckle from Jeongguk's lips, who received a tender caress on his cheek by Woosung's finger adoringly. Meanwhile Minho only rolls his eyes to Karma and turns to Ten, a defeated expression on his face, "Yeah, which is giving me anxiety because it's with this one's brother-"

"Um my brother is the one doing the hard work in lifting her into the air," Karma snaps back, throwing the control to Felix's awaiting hands to play, "Whatever, she better not end up slapping him across the face with the skate."

It looked as though Minho was ready to snap back but Hongjoong quickly got involved, "What time is the show tomorrow? Would be cool to get support since the figure skating program always watches our competitions."

Felix and Ten - not by choice- goes up to play on the Wii now, meanwhile Minho drops down on the couch while Karma trails off to the kitchen, "This performance isn't anything serious since the Olympics already passed, but it's more of a show for the town on the gold medalist and what not. It starts at seven."

"Then we definitely should-"

"CAN YOU STOP GETTING IN FRONT OF ME!"

All eyes landed to Felix nearly throwing a tantrum as they played the Speed Skating game, with Sonic and Princess Peach characters. Sonic is in the process of blocking every entrance for Princess Peach to pass, only coiling with Felix frustration while Ten twitches a smirk to his annoyance.

Well, this is the team.

Welcome to the Men's Speed Skating team representing South Korea, where they're always something going on no matter how minimal the situation may be.

Yet... Jeongguk wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.
