Y/N's POV

Mark opened the passenger's door for me like a gentleman and gave Jack a little shove into the back seat. He was in a bitchy mood because Jack insisted we go pick up Samantha. I didn't mind,however. It was interesting to watch love unfold right in front of my very eyes,even if it was my best friend.

"Especially if it's my best friend." I thought as we pulled out of the driveway and down the road. The car beeped a few times,telling me I needed to put my seatbelt on. I wasn't used to wearing one. I had turned off the little reminder in my car and always rode without it,I guess in hope that if I got in a crash I would die. Ah,good old suicidal days. Definitely not behind me,I'm sure.

Mark glanced over at me as the annoying alarm went off for the second time and I sigh as I pulled the seat belt across my torso and buckled in. For some reason I held my breath at the little pressure it put on me and sat uncomfortably straight as I looked out the window at the passing trees and suburban properties.

"So where does she live?" Mark grumbled,not taking his eyes off the road. It wasn't that he didn't like Samantha,he just didn't like using car gas like this. Also he was obviously having an off day,which is alright because most if my days are like that too.

Jack sat in the back seat with his earbuds in,smiling out the window as I directed Mark down a series of roads and streets. At last we pulled into the driveway of her quaint,blue and white house with many windows but little space. In a flash,Jack was at her door,escorting her to the car and opening the door for her. He was overdoing it but Samantha clearly appreciated his effort.

"Hey,Sammy." I greeted,turning around and giving her a smile.
"Hey,girl." She replied. She wore a huge grin on her face which matched her pink cheeks.
Before Jack could close his side of the car Mark was already pulling out of the driveway. I heard the two love birds giggling and talking in the backseat as we made our way to Pizza Hut.

"Do they still have the buffet?" I asked Mark,trying to start a conversation. It felt weird,listening in on Jack's clumsy pick-up lines and Samantha's goofy replies.
"Guess so." Mark mumbles,turning left into town.
"You gotta get over your attitude." I muttered to him. He looked over at me with a frown on his face before looking back at the road. He sighed and loosened his grip on the steering wheel.
"Ok sorry." He apologized quickly.
"What's up with you anyway?" I asked. I knew he must be having a hard day but his moods were switching fast,which was really starting to tick me off.

"Nothing." He grumbled with the tone of a 3rd grade bully who didn't get what they wanted.
"I'm not an idiot,Mark. Let's try this again. What's up?" I growled. He was really starting to press on my nerves.
"I'm just stressed." He sighed again "Trying to entertain all my house guests. I over did it when I made videos with them and by the time you came along I was worn out. Also Romeo back there kissing you didn't help much either." He used his head to gesture to Jack in the back,who was too caught up in his own little world to notice what we were talking about.

"Oh..." I say quietly,looking back out the window. After a long pause I finally said "You know,he didn't mean to kiss me like that-"
"I know,Y/N. I know." Mark snaps "You keep telling me that but it doesn't change anything. That mark on your neck is still there. It still happened."
"I know,Mark. I know." I match his tone of frustration. "And I forgive him for that. I don't know if you do."

He makes a sharp turn into Pizza Hut. Whether on purpose,or by accident,I don't know. He practically swerves into a parking place and turns the car off,then looks at me with an angry glare. I try to copy it but it soon melts into fear when I remember the last time we had this discussion.

His expression softens and he says,"Look,Y/N,I'm sorry. Things have been stressful but that's no excuse for me to be such an ass. Will you forgive me?" He holds my hand and gives me puppy dog eyes.
I roll my eyes but a smile creeps onto my face,"Ok,you weirdo. Now let's go. I'm hungry."
Mark smiles and kisses my hand before turning around and yelling "We're here! Let's go!"

The two love birds jump at Mark's volume and blush as they let go of each other's hands and get out of the car. We walk to together into Pizza Hut,me holding hands with Mark,and Jack and Samantha holding hands.
"So I guess this is a double date." Mark smirked. Samantha held her head forward so her hair hung over her face in embarrassment and Jack's eyes widened and he blushed. I snickered and Mark let go of my hand to politely open the door "M'lady." He said.

Samantha and I walked in and somebody showed us a booth we could have. As we headed over there I heard Jack whisper to Mark quite loudly "Mark,seriously,shut up. That was awkward."
I turned around and saw Mark shrug and say casually "I didn't think it was. You guys are cute together."

I directed my attention back to Samantha and what she was blabbering to keep myself from laughing again. Mark's little joke had gotten Jack more flustered than I thought he would and it was hilarious.

Once the boys finally caught up with us the waiter came with some plates so we hastily grabbed one and rushed to the buffet. Jack and Mark shoved each other like little kids until I broke between them and got the last pieces of cheese pizza. They both glared at me as I walked back to our booth with a victorious smile on my face
