Cemetery Poem
I was one of the countless members in battle
Even though I didn't actually fight
I aided soldiers who were in need of help
I was a prideful mother as well as a devoted wife
I awoke everyday with a glistening smile on my face
Now I am buried in a cemetery with 473 acres
Now I hear the crunching of leaves being trampled
By fascinated observers
By children who came to explore over 600,000 graves
By the loyal dogs trying to comfort their owner
Each time someone passes my grave they are captured
By my granite tombstone which has a perfect portrait of me chipped into it
And there are always fresh flowers at my grave which pleases me enormously
Sometimes I regret not living more but I know I didn't die in vain
I'm grateful for the dozens of people that I aided
And even though I don't have the biggest granite tombstone in the cemetery
I still get boutiques of flowers at my grave
And that's just fine with me
There is one specific lesson in life that I learned
And it is that a team is made up of various units
Even though I don't go honored with an American Flag
I still appreciate every second of the amazing life that I had
