Friend.

That word. That one single word can bring up anyone's day in just a snap! People all love it when they have "friends" to support them, love them, and care for them.

"Friends" are something that everyone needs to have in order to "survive"

So why are most of the friends we make are fake? Why are real friends so rare to find?

Why do these "friends" we make make empty promises and say empty words?

Why do they say they're going to be there for us when, in reality, they're not?

Are they afraid to tell the truth? To hurt our feelings?

Why? Why do they do this?

Don't they see what they're doing? Don't they see the false hope they're creating?

Why would you make someone feel better with a lie than to make them feel terrible with the truth?
