Chapter 2
Manami's POV
Although the walk was gruelling, and lonely, I made it nonetheless to the big school. I stood in front of it, taking a deep breath of air in, before smiling. Just as I was about to continue walking, however, I heard a squeak of a male, probably about as old as me, which made me turn to see him begin to fall. I quickly used my quirk to create a hand which caught his fall, probably surprising him, because he yelped when he saw the big hand out of fear. I walked over, waving at him.
"Sorry about that, I just thought I'd catch your fall so you wouldn't get scratched up." I told him, smiling, offering my hand to him. He took it as I pulled him up, putting the hand away and back to me.
"I'm Manami Hamadashi, it's nice to meet you." I told him, my smile still plastered on my face. The boy's face lit up just as I said my name and smiled back, shaking my hand as well.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya, and I've heard all about your family. I take it you're on the hero side of the family though, correct?" He asked me. I froze, not knowing how to answer. I didn't know him enough to tell him, 'Oh no, I was a villain the first 7 years of my life', and so I decided to go with the good old part truth thing.
"Uh, yeah, I am. I'm living with my aunt, Coldfront, while my parents are away." I partially lied, making Izuku smile.
"That's so cool! Hey, do you wanna head to class together?" He asked. I nodded, taking his hand and dragging him to our classroom. Once we reached it, I opened the door, revealing some guy in glasses yelling at a kid.
"PLEASE PUT YOUR FEET ON THE FLOOR, NOT ON THE DESK!" He yelled, making me cock my head to the right a bit. And that's when it hit me; that kid was the blondie from a few days ago.
"Ugh." Izuku looked at me, as well as the Blondie, and that's when he was off the desk, and right in front of me.
"YOU!" He yelled at me. I smiled, waving at him, before putting my straight face back on and walking past him.
"Yeah, me. I never knew that you were so obsessed with me, Blondie." I told him, spinning back on my heel with a playful smirk spread across my face. I could hear him growl, and his hands started sparking up.
"Hamadashi, I never knew that you knew Kacchan!" Izuku exclaimed, gaining the classes attention. I looked at Izuku, before looking at "Kacchan", and glaring.
"I don't; I accidentally bumped into him on a sidewalk and didn't "Apologize". I didn't because whenever I'm bumped into, people never apologize to me. And people never even got as offended as Blondie here when I didn't apologize." I replied, taking a seat next to a boy with white and red hair.
"SHUT UP!" Blondie yelled. Just before he was about to uppercut me, the door opened, and revealed our teacher. And I'd recognize that sleeping bag anywhere.
"Morning class, I'm your homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa. I know this is a bit sudden, but put these on." He told us, handing us some PE uniforms. I looked back up at him, and immediately knew what was going on.
And oh boy, was the class gonna be pissed.

"But what about the orientation?" Uraraka cried out. Yeah, I knew all of the girls' names, since we all introduced each other in the locker room while changing.
"If you're gonna become a hero, you don't have time for all of that." Aizawa replied. I think that was the millionth time I've heard him say that. He would always tell me that studying and rules would just delay the time it would take for me to become a hero.
"You've been doing all of this since Junior high, right? Physical fitness tests in which you weren't allowed to use your quirk." Aizawa continued, directly looking at me. I gulped, not knowing that he'd be so strict at first. Then, he looked at Blondie.
"Bakugo, you were first in the practical exam, correct? What was your highest score on the softball throw?" He asked him. Blon-I mean, Bakugo thought about it for a bit (Which I didn't think was possible), before answering.
"Uh, 67, I think.." He muttered. Aizawa nodded, handing him a softball. I understood what he was doing.
"Alright, then do it with your quirk. I don't care how you do it, just don't leave the circle." Aizawa instructed. I shifted my weight from one leg to the other, crossing my arms to see what he could do. I never really gave him the chance before, so I was interested in what he could do with those fireworks.
"Okay....then...DIE!" He yelled, throwing the ball. 'Die?' I wondered, hearing the ball hit the ground quite far away.
"Know your maximum first," Aizawa told us, holding up his phone. It read 705.2 meters. I was shocked, knowing that I probably wouldn't do as good as that, unless I were to use copycat.
"This seems fun!" Mina yelled, clapping her hands together. That gained the attention of Aizawa, making me nervous. I tugged on Mina's shirt, gaining her attention, before shaking my head, telling her that that wasn't a smart thing to say.
"It looks fun, huh? You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that?" Aizawa asked, before smirking. I gulped, wondering what he was coming up with. "All right then, whoever comes in last will be deemed someone who doesn't have potential. And that will result in expulsion." He told us. I sighed, knowing he wasn't serious. Aizawa was only trying to get the students to try their hardest.
"Expelled?! But it's the first day of school! No, even if it wasn't, that's still unfair!" Uraraka yelled, other students agreeing with her. Before Aizawa could speak, I spoke up, taking his side.
"I hate to say this, but the entire world is unfair. Natural disasters, big accidents, selfish villains, calamities whose time and place can't be predicted. Japan is covered in unfairness." I said, staring down at the ground. I didn't want to explain why he was right, I didn't want to side with him either, but he had a point.
"You're seriously siding with him?!" Izuku asked me. Then, the boy I sat next to earlier stood beside me, grabbing my shoulder with his right hand. It was surprisingly cold.
"She has a point though." He said. Uraraka nodded, because she couldn't argue with that. I turned to look at the boy, smiling at him.
"Thanks for that." I told him. He nodded, before Aizawa began to speak once again.
"For the next three years, U.A. will give you hardship after hardship. Go beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you've got." He finished. I went from nervous to serious. I couldn't do a lot of what I knew how to do, but I could still do some of it.
It was time to not lose, hopefully.
