TIME OF THE ANGELS
P A R T T H R E E

I FELT HANDS ON MY WAIST as I approached the last 2 steps of the ladder, pulling me off and helping me down.

I looked up at the doctor as he handed a flash light to me.

I nodded my head, a thank you to him and followed him to father Octavian side, turning the flash light on. But it wasn't doing much use for the dark.

"Do we have a gravity globe?" The doctor broke the silence in the cave as I heard Amy and river reach the bottom.

"Grav globe." Father Octavian ordered.

One of his men gave the globe to the doctor. As Amy said

"Where are we, what is this?"

"It's an aplan mortarium." Both me and river said at the same time

"Sometimes called the maze of the dead." River finished as the doctor stepped forward with his gravity globe.

"What's that." Amy asked.

"Well you happen to be a creature of living stone." The doctor turned and threw his flashlight to me, I caught it.

He then kicked the globe into the air and it rose creating a bright light to fill up the whole cave.

"Ha!" The doctor smiled as he grabbed his flash light out of my hand and put it in his pocket

Everyone watched the new find intently, all the statues and the 'city'

"The perfect hiding place" The doctor finished

"Well I guess this makes it a bit trickier" Octavian said using his torch to shine at each statue

"A bit yea." I Said as I glanced around the cave

"A stone angel on the loose amongst stone statues, a lot harder than I prayed for." Octavian finished

"A needle in a haystack." River said as we all continued watching the city

"A needle that looks like hay. A hay like needle of death. A hay like needle of death in a haystack of statues. No yours was fine." The doctor rambled as every continued to look around

"Right, check every single statues in this chamber, you know what your looking for, complete visual inspection." Octavian ordered as his men started to search

"One question, how do we fight it?" He finished

"We find it and hope." The doctor said taking out his flash light and dashing for a door. Amy on his tail.

River going to follow But was stopped by Octavian grabbing her shoulder.

I stayed behind the two, listen to what was happening

"He doesn't know yet, does he? Who and what you are."

"It's too early in his time stream." River said watching as the doctor disappeared

"Well make sure he does work it out, or he's not going to help us."

"I won't let you down I have no intention on going back to prison." River said as Father Octavian let her go. Leading out of sight.

"Father Octavian, it's been a good while." I came forward by his side, he watched me and I looked up at his eyes

"Leave river alone ." I smirked as I pushed past him. I knew she was in jail, but I didn't know why, too early in my time stream.

I followed the stone walls to see and hear river and Amy talking about the doctor, who was pretending not listen, looking at the stone walls

"Doctor it's the other way up." I Said stay in next to rivers side and referring to the device in his hand

"Yeah." The doctor said glancing at the three of us as river took out a needle grabbing my arm

"You are totally his wife." Amy said as she watched river take my right arm. Pulling up my sleeves revealing the 'life' tattoos, if I lose a person, I add another line to represent there life with a real tattoo pen that I acquired.

"Oh Amy Amy Amy this is the doctor we are talking about." River places the needle in my arm and I flinched

"Do you really think it could be that simple?" She finished with the needle before putting back from wherever she got it.

"Yep" Amy said as I snickered walking to meet the doctor

"When did you get tattoos." The doctor asked as I pulled Down my sleeve of my jacket.

"It's to count how many people I've lost on my travels, if I knew them, liked them, they deserve a place on my arm" I replied just as the sound of gun fires filled the cave.

We all dashed back through the entrance to see one of Octavian men. Quite Young. Apologising

"Sorry, I thought it looked at me." He said to Father Octavian

"We know what the angle looks like. Is that an angel?" He pushed

"No sir."

"No sir it is not, according to the doctor we are facing an enemy of unknowable power and infinite evil so it would be good, if we can remain calm ."

"What your name." The doctor cut Octavian off

"Bob sir." Bob said to the doctor

"Oh, that's a great name. I love bob." The doctor smiled a goofy smile

"It's a sacred name, we all have sacred names they are giving to us in the service of the church." Octavian finished

"Sacred bob, more like scared bob now eh?" The doctor said, standing in front of the two men

"Yes sir." Bob said glancing at his feet

"Good, scared keeps you fast, anyone in this room who isn't scared is a moron" Father Octavian gave the doctor a glare which made me snicker

"Carry on." He said backing away from the two
