THE PANDORICA OPENS
P A R T O N E

"YOU ARE GETTING WORSE THAN HIM" river shouted down the phone as finished up in the weapons base on UNIT floor.

"I've been... busy."

River has been trying to get in contact with me for the past 3 months, 2 of them I had a reason not to talk to her but this month, it was more of the fact I knew my doctor was going to be involved and I just saw the other doctor on his last legs and I couldn't comprehend 'moving on' that quickly.

I walked through the fields of unit to my apartment complex on the outskirts.

"We need you, he needs you." River said through the phone as I shrugged on my usual leather jacket over my jeans and top.

"I don't always come when he calls." I mentioned as I slipped on my boots and looked at myself in the mirror.

"He does when you do." River said as I rolled my eyes and picked up my vortex manipulatior off the charging port.

"Thanks for the guilt trip miss Song, I'll be with you in a moment."

I ended the call and pressed in the co - ordinates at which river sent me a couple minutes before.

When pressing the teleport button I landed right in the middle of what looked like Stonehenge.

"What the fuck am I doing in the middle of Stonehenge." I questioned as I heard the sounds of horse gallop in the distance

There was river, Amy and of course the doctor.

My doctor.

I felt a bit emotional seeing him again, of course it's the same person with the same memories, it's the same doctor but he always seemed so different.

"What time do you called this?" I shouted as the 3 dismounted their houses out the attraction and ran into the middle

"Alexia pond, how did you." The doctor turned to river

"Ah that's how you." He finished

"Why are we at stone henge during" I looked at my watch to see what year I was in

"No where near the present." I said, realising how far back in time I actually traveled.

The doctor took his sonic and scanned the stone while river started typing on a console she just grabbed from her pocket

"How is it not old?" Amy asked as she started to touch the outer stone

"It's already old, been here thousands of years." I said

"No one knows exactly how long." River finished for me while typing

"Ok, so this pandorica thing." Amy said putting and arm around me while I just stared at river

"The pandorica." I said looking at river who nodded

"Last time we saw you, you warned us about it, after we climbed out of the Byzantium." Amy continued as the doctor used his sonic to scan around Stonehenge

"Spoilers." River said coming to the 2 of us

"No but you told the doctor you would see him again when the pandorica opens" Amy said

"Maybe I have, but I didn't yet, doctor I'm picking up fry particles everywhere, energy weapons discharge on this site."

"If the pandorica is here, it contains the mightiest warrior in history." The doctor said while standing on a rock "now half the galaxy would want a piece of that, maybe even fight over it."

The doctor jumped off his rock and placed an ear up against it and muffled something under his breath I couldn't quite understand

As the day drew to night, me and river got to work on trying to open the so called tomb the doctor had suspicions about. The doctor stood at the opening of what we hoped was the pandorica with amy next to him as myself and river finished setting up the last few bits

"Ready?" River shouted over to me as I set up the last piece of the puzzle. I nodded and she smiled

After pressing confirm on her handheld, the stone moved revealing stairs down into the tomb that contained the pandorica, or at least that what the doctor thought.

"The underhenge." The doctor said

He proceeded to do his usual inspections, grabbing his screwdriver and pointing it towards the entrance as he continued to walk down

Amy followed, then river, and I left myself till last.

That wasn't very helpful, considering I didn't have the torch, I couldn't see where I was going at all my hands were outstretched to the walls making sure I didn't land on my ass

After pushing our way through the tomb opening, the doctor lit a torch with his sonic and river grabbed the other, using the doctors torch to light her own

With force the doctor unhinge the wood that was holding the huge door shut, both river and himself pushed it open to reveal the pandorica in all its glory

"It's more than just a fairytale." River said

The doctor looked at river confused then edge closer to the box. While edging closer he accidentally kicked something, shining his torch down, you could see it was a cyber man's arm.

"What the." I muttered under my breath

The doctor waved his torch around and got closer, placing his hand on it

"There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior, a nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billon galaxies." The doctor walked around the side of the box

"The most feared being in all the cosmos and nothing could stop it or hold it or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world."

"How did it end up In there?" Amy asked

"You know, fairytales." I answered looking around the cave

"A good wizard tricked it" doctor continued

"I hate good wizards in fairytales, they always turn out to be him." River said handing the torch to Amy who took hold of it and scanning the box

"So it's like Pandora's box then, the story, with all the worst things in the world in it." Amy continued

"You use to read that all the time, it was your favourite." I said and Amy smiled at me remembering the time I spent with her before running away

"You're favourite school topic, you're favourite story? Never ignore a coincident unless you're busy. In which case, always ignore it." The doctor stormed in front of her

"So can you open it." River asked

"Easily, anyone can break into a prison" the doctor said going towards the box again "but I'd rather know what I'm going to find first"

Rivers analyser in her hand started making this beeping noise "you won't have long to wait, it's already opening"

"There are layers and layers of security protocols in there, and they're being disabled, one by one, liked it's being unlocked from the inside" river put her ear on the box

"How long do we have?" I asked

"Hours at most" river replied

"What kind of security?" The doctor asked as I continued to circle the box, I could no longer hear what the doctor was saying, he was whispering to river and I was in my own world, it's only when a bunch of shouting went on I emerged from the other side of the box

"What's all the shouting about, it's not like the Daleks are around " I came from behind the box and all 3 of them looked at me

"Maintaining orbit, I obey. Shield cover compromised on ion sectors" a voice played throughout the tomb

"I think I better shut up now"
