PLANET OF THE DEAD
P A R T F I V E

AFTER COLLECTING THE EQUIPMENT we followed the bug to the front of this ship.

"Commander? Mission complete. Now, we've got to get back to the two hundred, all of us."

The creatures then started to chitter. "Oh, don't be so daft. A captain can leave his ship if there's a bus standing by."

There was loud bang, which startled us all "What the hell was that?" Christina gasped.

"It's the creature. It's not dead."I Said as I looked behind me  

"Maybe you didn't hit just one of them." The Doctor added. "If you hit a swarm?"  

"Do you mean if there's more on board?" Christina eyes widened with horror.

"This ship's built inside a metal sleeve." The doctor said "They can move through the infrastructure, all around us. And those things wake up hungry."

The whole place shook"

Commander, you've got to come with us right now." 

"Come back to Earth. We'll find you a home." Christina said. 

I furrowed my eyebrows, UNIT would not have that and even if they were allowed back they wouldn't last long, imagine what Mickey would do to them

"And that's the word of a lady. Come on." The doctor said, as he turned around ushering me out the way we came. We all stopped waiting for the tritovores but as soon as we turned around it was too late.

One stingray appeared eating and killing the creature as the other raised its weapon. 

"No, don't."The doctor shouted 

The other tritovoure was eaten too

I grabbed Christina's and the doctors hands

"There's nothing we can do." I shouted pulling them  "Run!" 

We ran out of the spaceship sprinting in the sand to the bus trying to get up the small sand hills as fast as we could. I loose go of everyone's hands and use my hands to sprint while Christina carried her bag and the doctor carried the contraption that I managed to grab

suddenly the phone in the The doctors pocket rang.

"Not now, Malcolm!" I heard the doctor shout as we ran.

The bus was in view, we ran down a small hill.

"At last where have you been"

I was the fast out of us three so I reach the bus before them

"Get inside. Get them sitting down." I shouted at nathen and Barclay. Everyone scrambled inside as the doctor waited just outside,

"Now then, let's have a look."

I turned around to see the doctor taking the crystal out of the metal plates

  "So what does that crystal do?" Christina asked.

"Oh, nothing. Don't need the crystal." The Doctor took it out and tossed the crystal in the sand. 

"Oh, I risked my life for that." I shouted at him as the Doctor took the metal plates and placed them on the wheels of the bus, me and Christina following him around

"No, no. You risked your life for these. The clamps." He said.

"But what are the clamps for?" Christina asked.

"Do they turn the wheels?" 

" Yeah, something like that." The Doctor said as we all stood on the bus, the doctor took a seat in the drivers seat, me and Christina standing next to him

" I just need to fix this. Have you got a hammer in that bag?" He asked Christina

"What haven't she got" I said 

"Funnily enough." Christina muttered reaching into her bag giving the doctor a hammer

"Press redial." The doctor said giving me the phone, I did and placed it to his ear

"Malcolm, it's me."  The doctor said

"Ready for what?" He asked I'm confusing down the phone

"We are going to try to get back but listen, there might be something following us. You need to close the wormhole." The doctor said messing with a clamp he placed on the wheel

"Oh, Malcolm, you're brilliant." The Time Lords said into the phone . 

The doctor nodded at me to take the phone

"Doctor alex pond" I said

"How bit is the threat sir" the women asked down the phone

"Sorry, got to go." I quickly replied ending the call and looking at the Doctor who was hitting one of the clamps onto the steering wheel.

"Done." He nodded then groaned as it all began to spark.

"It's not compatible. Bus, spaceship, spaceship, bus. I need to weld the two systems together."  "

And how do you do that?"Christina asked

"We need something non-corrosive." The Doctor said. 

"Something malleable." The Doctor described. "Something ductile."

  "Something gold..." I whispered looking at Christina. 

"Oh no, you don't." She shook her head., looking between me and the doctor

"Christina, what is it worth now?" The Doctor asked her as Barclay walked up holding out a wristwatch

"Hey, hey, use this." 

"I said gold." I smiled at him . 

"It is gold." 

"Whatever you say."

"Christina." The doctor said,  Christina watched as Barclay returned to his seat and looked at the passenger, she huffed and reluctantly took the goblet from the rucksack and held it. 

"It's over a thousand years old, worth eighteen million pounds." She said warning the doctor.

"Promise me you'll be careful."

"I promise." The Doctor said taking the hammer and started breaking the cup

"I hate you."  Christina muttered as I shook my head disapprovingly

"Don't give me that look" the doctor leaps to me

"This is your driver speaking. Hold on tight." The Doctor warned as I held a bar near the front for the bus .

"But what for?" Barclay stuttered. "What's he doing?" 

"Do as he says," Christina said back before whispering to the doctor

"what are you doing?" 

The Doctor then started  the bus.

"Come on. That's it. You can do it, you beauty." He said. "One last trip."

The bus slowly rose as I smiled looking out the front windscreen

"It's working!" 

"Ah, you are so kidding me." Barclay gasped. 

"We're flying." Nathan said shockingly "It's flying." 

"He's flying the bus." 

"It's a miracle." 

"Anti-gravity clamps." I said realising what I picked up earlier

"Didn't i say? Round we go." The doctor turned the bus around instantly so we were facing the wormhole making me and Christina nearly falling

"Doctor,they're coming," Carmen shouted. 

"Do you think this thing will survive the journey back?" Christina looked at him

"Only one way to find out." The Doctor said

"Next stop, Planet Earth!" Christina joined in with me at the end as the Doctor drove the bus through the wormhole with the swarm closely behind us

Everyone screamed and the bus started to shake before we flew out the tunnel back on Earth and into the air. 

"It's London!" Barclay gasped. 

"We're back home." Angela shouted. 

"They did it. They did it!" Nathan cheered as the Doctor laughed and I beamed into the London

Just then you could hear the sound of bullets on the bus

"We're not alone then." I Said Looking our at the stingray creatures that followed us. Taking the phone out of my pocket I redials the number putting it on speaker

"Malcolm, close that wormhole." The Doctor said "Yes, sir, My pleasure, sir."

The ending sound rang through the bus . 

"He's hung up on us." The Doctor looked at me

"Redial"

"Malcolm!" 

"Not now, I'm busy!" He replied ending the call. 

"He's hung up again." The Doctor shouted

Out of annoyance I rang again"Malcom, Alex pond on the phone, don't you end this call or I swear I will."

"Don't listen to her." The doctor said as I stared at him with annoyance for cutting me off

"It's not working," Malcolm told us. 

"We need that signal. Right now we have got billions of those things about to fly through." 

"Well, what do I do?"  Malcom asked

"Loop it back through the integrator, and keep the signal ramping up." 

"But by how much?" 

"Five hundred Bernards." The Doctor shouted .

"Do it now!" I ordered

"Yes!" Malcolm cheered. "Yes!" 

"Doctor,." Nathan shouted. "It's coming for us."  Referring to the stingray like creature

"Oh no, you don't." The Doctor muttered turning the wheel and hitting the Stingray before straightening the bus.

"Did I say I hated you?" Christina looked at the Doctor. "I was lying." She leant in to and kissed him

I whistled at the two of them as the doctor looked like he struggled for breath the passengers cheered and clapped.

  "Well..." the Doctor swallowed his voice. He grinned straightening up

"Ladies and gentlemen, you have reached your final destination. Welcome home, the mighty two hundred." He said slowly landing the bus on the ground as UNIT Applauded us.

I got off the bus first, followed by Christina then the doctor and other passengers.

"That's Alex pond." I heard someone shout as everyone stood hands to there heads saluting me

"Stand down soldiers, future Alex pond here, someone call Martha, make sure I don't come to the stingrays in the sky, I remember I really wanted to."

"Yes sir." Someone shouted and I smiled turning around the meet the two.

"We made the best team" I Said as I hugged Christina, she took my hug back.

"Ever need a helping hand, a way out of jail, phone unit and repeat the numbers 381. I'll be with you I'm a snap of my fingers." She nodded at me

I turned to the doctor and he held his arms opened for me. I smiled I wrapped my arms around his neck as he picked me up and spun me around.

"Until next time Alex pond." He replied

"Until next time doctor." I said turning to face all of unit.

Using my vortex manipulator I typed in my coordinate to present day, my house.

"Clean up, don't mention this to little me, see you soon"

I was instantly teleported to my own house, with a sigh of relief, I flopped onto my sofa. Taking my glasses off my top and throwing my leather jacket I picked up in the side

On the coffee table Was the bag I took to South Wales, I smiled thinking the doctor must've brought it back, then I remember Rory.

Tears escaped my eyes as I saw a leaflet next to my bag

It was an ad for a flat share, on it was a post it not and in scruffy writing it read
