COLD BLOOD
P A R T O N E

"I'M GOING TO GO below the surface, to find the rest of the tribe, to talk to them." The Doctor speaks calmly and slowly, he is sat on an arm-chair which is wrapped in plastic, while me and Rory just stare at him with disbelief

  "You're going to negotiate with these aliens?" Ambrose asked.

"They're not aliens. They're Earth-liens. Once known as the Silurian race, or, some would argue, Eocenes, or Homo Reptilia. Not monsters, not evil. Well, only as evil as you are. The previous owners of the planet, that's all. Look, from their point of view, you're the invaders. Your drill was threatening their settlement." The Doctor paces slowly.

  "Now, the creature in the crypt. Her name's Alaya. She's one of their warriors, and she's my best bargaining chip. I need her alive. If she lives, so do Elliot and Mo and Amy , because I will find them. While I'm gone, you four people, in this church, in this corner of planet Earth, you have to be the best of humanity." The Doctor tells them.

"And what if they come back? Shouldn't we be examining this creature? Dissecting it, finding its weak points?" Tony looks at the Doctor

  "No dissecting, no examining. We return their hostage, they return ours, nobody gets harmed. We can land this together if you are the best you can be. You are decent, brilliant people. Nobody dies today. Understand?" The Doctor questions. 

Nasreen claps for the doctor, obviously no one joins in.

The Doctor automatically left and i was not far behind him, much to Rory protests and neither was Nasreen

"No, sorry, no. What are you doing?" The Doctor asked us 

"Coming with you, of course. What is it, some kind of transport pod?" Nasreen pats the outside of the Tardis.

"You said yourself I'm practically your parent" i shrugged as the doctor came to terms with me coming already so he ignored me

  "Sort of, but you're not coming with me." The Doctor spoke.

"He's right. You're not." Tony walks towards them both.

"I have spent all my life excavating the layers of this planet, and now you want me to stand back while you head down into it? I don't think so." Nasreen argues

  "I don't have time to argue." The Doctor stands in the way of her getting onto the Tardis as I squeeze through.

I walked in taking my usual sit spot in the jump seat, chucking my bag behind me

"Welcome aboard the Tardis. Now, don't touch anything. Very precious." The Doctor pulls a lever. 

Nasreen looks around "No way. But, but that's, this is fantastic, What does it do?" 

"Everything. I'm hoping, if we're going down, that barricade won't interfere."

The Tardis shakes and I held on but the other two are knocked to their feet

"Did you touch something?"  The doctor looks at me as I put my hands up in the I surrender position showing I didn't do anything

"No. Isn't this what it does?"

  "I'm not doing anything. We've been hijacked. I can't stop it. They must've sensed the electromagnetic field. They're pulling the Tardis down into the Earth." 

The Tardis comes to a sudden stop, making all of us fall, but me especially off my seat   "Where are we?"

The Doctor scrambles to his feet pulling me up and then ran to pull the doors open, I followed him.

He puts his hand out, I looked from behind him at the loose soil that is  raining down from the hole above the Tardis

We all got out

  "Looks like we fell through the bottom of their tunnel system. Don't suppose it was designed for handling something like this." The Doctor looks about.

  "How far down are we?" Nasreen asks while looking around.

"Oh, a lot more than twenty-one kilometers." The Doctor responds.

  "So why aren't we burning  alive?" Nasreen furrows her eyebrows.

"Don't know. Interesting, isn't it?" The Doctor replied .

"It's like this is every day to you, the two of you."

I was pulled from my thoughts and shrugged my shoulders

"Sorta."

"Not every day. Every other day." The Doctor runs off, we all quickly follow.

"We're looking for a small tribal settlement probably housing around a dozen Homo Reptilia? Maybe less." The Doctor walks in a like down the tunnel, I was hot on his tail

"One small tribe?"

"Yeah." 

"Maybe a dozen?"

"Ah." We looked down on the  entire civilisation.

  "Maybe more than a dozen. Maybe more like an entire civilization living beneath the Earth."

I followed the doctor and nasreen as we all walked along pathways of this underground town

"This place is enormous and deserted. The majority of the race is probably still asleep." The Doctor took out his sonic screwdriver.

"We need to find Amy , looking for signature anomalies."

"But, Doctor, how can all this be here? I mean, these plants?" Nasreen asked

"You'll be surprised on what you don't know about in this world." I Said as nasreen watched me with amazement, as I overtook her and the doctor while entering a tunnel

"Must be getting closer to the center of the city."I Said

"You're sure this is the best way to enter?" Nasreen asked

"Front door approach! Definitely. Always the best way." The Doctor told us

I shook my head "that's your best way, but your always peace on earth and that malarkey" I muttered as an alarm sounded

"This is why we don't go in the front way"

An alarm sounded, a female voice gave a warning saying Hostile life force detected, area 17.

We all stopped and I raised my eyebrows in a way saying it told you so' to the doctor and nasreen

."Apart from the back doors approach, that's also good." The Doctor turned around. "Sometimes better."

"Hostile life force detected, area 17." Ir repeated over the speaker.

A door slid open in front of Us all

"Doctor!" Nasreen exclaimed.

Armed Silurian soldiers came through the door, I've never encountered these before, but the doctor said they can be dangerous. I didn't stop the chit chat, I took off through a different tunnel leaving the doctor and nasreen

"Alex where are you going" I heard the doctor shouted before the thud of his body echoed through the place

Honestly I had no idea.

All these tunnels were so confusing, and I was running so my mind was instantly on the creatures that may be following me.

One tunnel I ran through finally came to a room. Running inside instantly I heard voices, crouching down I watch as the creature fled from whatever he was doing, there, fixated against a wall was amy.

"Amy!" I shouted getting up, jumping over the table I was hid behind. She managed to steel a remote to get her free and we ran into each others arms.

I put my hands either side of her face and hugged her again

"I tried amy I tried so hard." This is the first proper sisterly moment we've had in years

She hugged tighter

"I know you did alexia, I know."

We pulled away as Amy went to recuse the man that was tied to the wall as well

"How'd you get that!" He asked as Amy let him go

"Never picked a lizard man pocket?" She said showing the man the remote and I smiled

"That's my sister." I exclaimed, they can out of the little pod and Amy started to look for a way out

"Who are you?" The man asked

"I'm 1/4 of your rescue team, the ones decided to get themselves caught so now I'm the whole rescue team" I said

"Her name is Alexia." Amy Said

"Mo." The man replied

"I go by Alex if we are exchanging names." I Said as I pointed to the door

"This way." I Said following the creature that just left, maybe he could lead us to the doctor.

With caution me, Amy and mo creeped down another tunnel

"Creature do you think he was an alien." Mo asked

"The species is Silurian" I replied

"Is there anymore?" He asked again

"Loads." I Said as we walked through an automatic door

"How do you know?" He asked me

"My friend, he's good at these types of things." I Said "he was also the other half of the rescue team that got caught so that say a lot about him."

Curiously Amy stopped at sort of machine  with a door

"I wonder what this is?" Amy said pressing the control and there stood Elliot, domed green on his face.

Mo started to panic, pushing past me trying to open the door.

"It's my son Elliot." He said with worry

"What have they done to him we have to get him out." He started to panic as me and Amy looked in the camber the boy was in

Mo started messing with the screen but obviously he was a different species so it wouldn't let him in

"We need to get in there." He started shouting

"Look, stats on the screen, those are vital signs, heart beat, blood pressure and from what I can see he's still alive." I Said placing my hands either side of his shoulders

"We can't get in but at least we know he's alive." Amy said

"We need to find weapons, and force that lizard to let my boy out." He said looking at Amy as I shrugged my shoulder while nodding my head

"Yea sure, let's go" Amy took off, I followed and Mo not far behind
