(Red's POV)

I run after Yellow, leaving Misty on the ground. 

"SHE'S NOT WORTH IT!!" Misty yells. 

Yes she is! She is the reason I'm still alive! Yellow keeps on running. I'm not far from her and am faster. Then I catch up to her and stand front of her.

"It's not what it looked like!" I say. Yellow pushes past me. I'm shocked that she didn't listen. Usually, she's not like this. I recover from my initial shock and run after her once again. Then she stops by a the river. It's in the exact same spot where I had my accident. She takes out all of her Pokémon out of their Pokéballs.

She looks at me with sadness in her beautiful yellow eyes. I do the same: take out all my Pokémon out of theirs.

"Yellow..." I softly say. "I just-"

"JUST GO WITH MISTY!!" She interrupts me. "No wonder Gold almost jumped off Mt. Silver. It's because his mother was the only one he truly loved before Crys! THIS IS THE SAME FOR ME EXCEPT YOU CHOSE HER INSTEAD OF ME! There's no point now."

Yellow takes a step into the river. It's like it's happening in slow motion. I run to her right before she falls. I grab her left hand but she falls in. She accidentally drags me in with her.

Our Pokémon yell loudly. My Poliwrath comes swimming in but it hits a rock. 

"Urk, go get the others!" I struggle to say.

Our Pokémon go running into the other direction. I get to Yellow and hug her tightly, with her head above the water.

"I-I'm so sorry, Red!" She says. I hold on to her even tighter.

I bring her back up to land. She gets up there and I come up.

(Yellow's POV)

Red starts coming up and I grab his right hand and pull him up. But then Red starts sinking down.

"What's happening?!" I ask, trying to pull Red even harder. Red looks down and his eyes widen with shock.

"It's a Tentacool!" He replies. "Yellow! Let go!"

"NO!!" I yell. "I CAN'T LET GO! IF YOU GO, I CAN NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF!!"

"Argh, I'll forgive you! Before I go, lemme tell ya something!!!"

I keep pulling onto him as he says "I'm not dense. I noticed you. Urgh, I love you! But I hid it from everyone, except Gold, and it's because if I was too close to you, I'd lose you. I-I love you."

I gasp. So he does love me... "I love you more!"

"Goodbye Yellow!" He says. Then he removes my grip on his left hand with his other one. 

"RED!!!" I watch him sink. 

This is my fault. I shouldn't have done this...
