Fourteen
Everyone who survived that fight had at least one bandage around something. The worst damage they all had was much worse than a flesh wound and is not something that can be wrapped in a bandage. Joey and Ryou sat in the living room Silver Fang came to join them her wounds tended to.
Her face composed as if she where shamed of herself. Why? Many guesses, many answers. Though she was not wearing the black short kimono. It was a kimono of fine silk woven very carefully and with the most expert care. For the color is like none other kimono ever made. It starts with a dark, nearly black, blue then it seeps up losing the darkness in the color to a white at her shoulders. The whole blue spectrum was on that kimono.
"The releasing of souls." Ryou mumbled the Miko's words still fresh. "The wha-" Ryou took a deep breath, Joey's knack for school was known and forgivable cause everyone can get like that. But at this time the line was thin if he could handle his friend's ignorance.
"A human or a creature bound deeply by something while they are alive, they are bound while they are dead. If chains held them, chains will hold them in that same spot too." Her voice was soft and whispery.
"The name Chain Maiden, was given to you, for your abilities to erase any chains that any link to them is forgotten." Ryou and Silver Fang stared at Joey. His sudden knowledge surprised them. "What? My family is superstitious." Silver chuckled.
"Why did you go?" Ryou asked with a half smile. "Asked if the chains of debt to be removed."
"That I cannot do," Sliver smiled with the little humor she had left. "Material such as money in loan is no chain I can break, it is not a bond that can be removed. The chains a stalker puts on their victim is what you described."
The door to the house opened and no one dared to look. "Where is Yugi?" An aged voice asked. Silver took a deep breath stopping herself. Jii-chan asked again a little more demanding. "I am sorry," she tried to continue the sentence but the words would not come. The old man studied the Deity and saw her neck, sighing he stepped towards her. "You are going to get him back?" His question had a demanding tone refusing any other answer.
"More than that. Unfortunately, going now means suicide." The Deity looked to her options, going by herself would get her killed and/or be withering. None seem pleasing.
"He at least won't do," Silver paused she had to choose her next word with the up most care. "Much."
A humming sound rang throughout the house bringing the Deity in alert. A line was drawn from no where and it opened up two silver hairs came out one Talú the other an older female wearing pure white Egyptian cotton tunic.
Silver quick to identify the lady stood in attention bowing slightly with her knees in a slight bend her hands held on top of each other closing the sleeves together in front of her. Ryou taking notice of the gesture crossed his swords and sat on his knees behind them bowing a worrier's bow. And Joey was clueless.
"Manners boy-" Talú started to hiss and made gesture of throwing him on the ground, but an arm had stopped him. "Do not child, that child does not know. It is fine, it is common for kids these days not to know many things." The woman an near look alike to Silver but older spoke in a regal tone so soft it demanded respect.
"But mother," Talú began again sounding like a spanked child. "I was an Egyptian Deity. Now children of the same goal please be at ease." The two did as asked, Ryou stayed on the floor and Silver straightened up giving the older a better look.
"You look so much like him." The Grand mother of the Deities broke down crying. Silver wanted to help comfort but was unsure, Talú was doing what he could but she forced herself to calm down.
"I apologize my child," the words took Silver back she never heard my child/ren in any given time. "I see you and I am quick to sorrow about my weakness. What happened to me is the reasons for our save havens. Not the attack by the vampire the other one, daughter."

With a groan Yugi woke up causing chains rattling. Surprised Yugi followed the chains to the wall. Trying to calm himself down Yugi looked around taking deep breaths. He was in a broom closet size cell, with an iron gate door that opens into a medieval looking room with wooden tables. Looking was a something he was going to regret, Yugi started to full on panic.
"Horror, I enjoy seeing Horror." A voice came from the other side of the iron gate. Yugi sucked on cold air as the voice came with a body. Atem had a evil and malicious smile.
"She will come get me!" Yugi suddenly blurted out. Atem's smile of evil only grew. "I am counting on it." The gate obediently opened as Atem pushed it out of his way to get to his prize. With a riding crop firmly griped in his hand with a nasty grin, Atem brushed Yugi's face with the leather tip getting Yugi to cringe in fear.
"As much as I hate it, you are under protection." And for a fleeting moment Atem's smile disappeared in a disappointed sigh.
"You can't touch me?" Yugi's voice ghosted and with Atem's vampire enhanced senses he heard the little one.
"No, I can touch you. The riding crop is evident in that." The smile the smile came back and it only grew larger as Atem tapped Yugi's stomach with the crop a few times.
"Why then?" With a sigh Atem's smile dropped once again, he hated being denied his fun. "Because you need to be in perfect health for me to be able to make a deal with her. One wound and she will kill me on the spot."
"Good." Yugi deadpanned the former human.
"Though, what she won't see, won't hurt me." Atem pulled at the end of the crop making it bow from the pressure. His smile came back just before letting go hitting Yugi with a hard thud to his stomach. With the chain's allowance and a groan Yugi curled as much as he could just hanging there. Not happy with the response Atem swung the crop hitting the same spot as much as he could. This time though little Yugi let out a cry of pain. Happy Atem continued with his onslaught, getting a louder cry with every swing.
Atem lost track of time and stopped counting after a hundred, his fun came to a sudden stop when he heard noises from another room.
"Well, this is the end of our game, goodnight." Atem breathed catching his breath before taking a deep one then he drank the boy's blood causing him to sleep. "I cannot have you interrupting my talk with the other prisoner."
