***Third Person***

"So..." Kina said, "that's what happened. Ever since then, I have been in Gehenna. For four years I have been training and I've gained a lot of strength since then."

Everyone in the room solemnly looked at Kina as she sat cross legged on one of the desks. Looking at the ground.

Until they heard a sniffle.

Everyone turned their heads to Kina's left, seeing Shima on the verge of tears. He was sniffling a lot. But failed to keep himself from finally crying.

"That was..." He sniffled, "s-so sad!" Shima finally covered his eyes with his arm. Beginning to cry into it.

Then everyone heard another sniffle.

They all look at Shiemi who was already crying.

"I-It was..." Shiemi agreed, "Kina-chan, y-you guys have been through... s-so much!"

Kina watched them shocked, then noticed everyone else's sad expressions. They all remained that way until Ayana said,

"Kina... I had no idea..."

"...How would you?" Kina asked without expecting an answer. Then she got up from the desk, and said, "I just wanted you guys to know who I am exactly. Since you summoned me now, and you deserve to know."

Ayana then remembered that she had summoned Kina as a familiar. Out of all the demons in Gehenna... It was Kina who she summoned. Ayana honestly never thought that she'd ever see her again. Not ever.

"But..." Ayana's thoughts where cut off by Kina,"could you do me a favour?" Ayana tilted her head as Kina continued, "please... Don't summon me again."

Everyone's eyes widened. And then Ayana said,

"What?... How.... How come?"

Kina remained silent, then replied, "you see... I never thought that I'd actually see you again, Ayana..."

Neither did I, Ayana thought to herself,

"And..." Kina continued, "back then... What happened with my father... I don't want something like that to happen to you again. I don't want you to get hurt again because of me..."

"Kina, that wasn't-"

"So please!" She cut her off, "don't summon me again. Just rip that paper of yours and never summon me again."

Ayana looked down at the summoning paper in her hand, then back at Kina.

"... I can't Kina..."

"Why not?!" Kina seemed to have grown frustrated. Her teeth were clenched as her bangs casted a shadow over her eyes, so no one could see them. "Just do it Ayana!"

"I can't Kina.... You're my friend..."

"No I'm not!" Ayana tensed,"I'm not your friend Ayana!... I don't deserve your friendship."

Kina then started out the door. Everyone remained silent. No one spoke. But they all made small glances towards Ayana, who stood still. Her hair covered her eyes. As her fists stayed clenched at her sides.

Rin casted Ayana a worried look before he stepped to her side and was about to say something until Ayana suddenly gritted her teeth and jerked her head up.

Rin slightly jumped on the spot as Ayana spun around to look at Yukio. She had a determined look on her face, but you could also see a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"Yukio, could I....?"

Yukio nodded his head, already knowing what she was going to ask. At that, she ran out the door after Kina.

Everyone looked at the empty door. No one said a word until Yukio said,

"Okay everyone, please take your seats. We will continue our lesson now."

The exwires all looked at Yukio shocked, but obliged. But Rin still remained in his spot. Staring at Yukio shocked,

"But Yukio! Shouldn't class be dismissed? Ayana just went after Kina."

"That is Ayana-san's business. It has nothing to do with our learning."

"But shouldn't I go with her?"

"No you shouldn't. This is up to Ayana-San. She needs to make things right with her familiar."

Ayana ran down the hallway. She ran, and ran. Going deeper down the hall. As she did, it got darker and darker. Leaving only a few dim candles at the edges, for her to see.

She stopped when she saw something white.

A small cat. But Ayana knew it was Kina.

The white cat sat facing the wall. Her ears flopped flat, and her head was drooped down.

"Kina."

Kina turn her head slightly to look at Ayana. Her slitted green cat eyes filled with sadness.

"Do you really think that?" Ayana asked, "that you don't deserve my friendship?"

Kina remained silent, then turned her head back to the wall. She said nothing.

"Well then..." Said Ayana as she placed her hands on her hips, "you're an idiot."

Kina's ears started up. But that was Ayana's only sign to show that she was listening.

"Kina. What happened back then wasn't your fault. Not at all."

"It was," Kina whispered,"if I didn't go out of the house that day. You wouldn't have been hurt like that. You wouldn't have had to feel that pain. It was all because I wanted to go out. It was because I was selfish." Her voice cracked at the last word, then white smoke surrounded Kina. She was then in her human form. Curled up in a ball. Her face buried between her knees.

"That's not true Kina."

"It is! Admit it! It's all true."

Ayana sighed and closed her eyes. She shook her head then knelt down in front of Kina.

"Kina."

She didn't reply. But Ayana continued,"if you didn't go out that day... I wouldn't have met you."

Kina remained silent then said, "yeah, that's the point. You wouldn't have met me. Then you wouldn't have gotten hurt."

Ayana shook her head, "trust me, stuff like that would still have happened. They used to happen to me all the time." Kina finally looked up at Ayana with wide green eyes,

"But still-"

"I was happy though, Kina." Kina gave Ayana a shocked expression, "I was happy I met you... Other than Rin... You were the only other friend I had. I was so happy..."

"But... You were crying..."

Ayana let out a small smile, "yeah, sure it did hurt... But that small time we played together... I was really happy. I don't regret anything. Kina... Were you happy back then?"

Kina's eyes glistened, then she rapidly nodded, "yeah, I was happy. You were my only friend Ayana... But, I always thought you had hated me..."

Ayana softly laughed,"why would I hate you? I never thought any of that stuff was your fault. I always thought of you as a friend."

"Really?"

"Really."

Kina had begun sniffling. Then tears had begun to fall down her cheeks."so..." Kina said, "can we still be friends?"

Ayana continued to smile, "of course."

"And I could stay your familiar?"

"Definitely"

"And you never hated me?"

"Never."

Kina continued to cry. Then she finally started to wail. "Ayanaaaaa!!!!!!"Kina then pounced on Ayana and hugged her like there was no tomorrow."I'm sorryyyy!!!" Ayana was shocked at first. But then she softly smiled and patted Kina's head.

"Don't worry Kina," Ayana whispered, "I can tell that we'll be friends for a very long time."

Suddenly Ayana froze. She felt something. The presence of a demon. It was familiar, yet unfamiliar. Ayana couldn't quite put her finger on it. She didn't know. But she did know that this presence was dangerous. This demon shouldn't be here.

Kina then had begun to relax. She was only sniffling now. But she then noticed Ayana's stiffness, so she pull away and asked,

"What's wrong, Ayana?"

Ayana was silent at first. She just looked around the hallway with her eyebrows furrowed. Then she finally said, "you don't feel it?"

"What?"

Ayana became more suspicious of the presence. It was so strong. Probably a low class demon should be able to feel it. Yet not even Kina could feel it. And the coal tars around her didn't seem fazed by it either.

"Ayana? Ummm..." Ayana looked at Kina, and noticed that she was pointing at her, "why's your necklace glowing?"

Ayana looked down at her crescent moon necklace and noticed it was glowing a bright white. Her brow furrowed as she grabbed it to look at it.

"What in the world is going on?" Ayana asked herself.

Then she felt the demonic presence disappear. That's when Ayana remembered. This presence was the same one as the other day, when she felt it in her room. What was with this demon? Ayana had no idea who it was, and what it wanted.

But she was going to find out.
